Study Hall

Eren wasn't all that good at names but he was able to place a few names to faces here and there he recognized Thomas, the first one to get thrown out of the class. He looked pissed yet scared to be back in the class. Eren continued to look at all the students and recognize two familiar faces in the back of the class. There were TJ and Alex, the only ones who actually seemed to be thrilled to be in this class.

"Alright everyone class is starting," Levi announced making his way to his usual spot in the front of the class. "Now all of you have been in my class already at least once today." Levi said looking at all the faces around the room, "Even if it was just for a few minutes." Levi smirked looking at Thomas and the two other trouble makers that had been thrown out of his previous classes.

Levi's glance at them made Thomas look away in order to keep from yelling at the frightening teacher. The other two, on the other hand, had looked away because of their fear of him.

Rumors of Levi had been spreading like a wildfire. Each rumor causing the flames of fear to rise in most of the students. Some of the rumors were actually true and others completely made up, telling the difference between the two was the hard part. One of the rumors that had spread was that he cursed out a student from a previous year, that one was one of the few true ones. Another one of the rumors that was spreading was that he had hit a student before. This was one of the many false ones circulating around the school.

"Now all of you should know the regulations for my previous classes and in this class I want you to forget most of them." Levi's statement was met with surprised looks from all the students. "This is study hall, and I know little to none of you have signed up for this class to actually study or do work. "The only rules I have for this class do not leave the class without permission, and any mess you make clean it up," Levi explained leaning up against his desk.

"How I've done this class previous years we take a vote on what the class would like to do that day. If by a miracle someone did sign up for this class to work, you are welcome to do so we will try to do more quiet activities and I will help with anything needed." Levi sighed, "Now saying that who signed up for this class to do work?" Levi asked and his question was met with the response he expected. Not a single hand was raised.

"Alright who signed up for this class to do literally anything else?" He asked curiously. Almost every hand was raised. "Of course," Levi said with a chuckle.

"So since today is the first day there is nothing planned, so you all can talk amongst yourselves and get used to each other," Levi said watching the class nervously stare back at him like it was some kind of test.

"Alright suit yourselves." Levi shrugged, "Also you don't have to stay in your seats feel free to move about the room." He said before turning to face Eren as he was trying not to laugh as all the students sat like statues with disbelief.

"Looks like they don't believe you." Eren laughed, "I didn't when you told us the same thing. I mean when the scariest and most strict teacher tells you that you're allowed to do anything you want in his class you wouldn't believe him either." Eren laughed once more.

He looked up and his eyes meet TJ's. He gave TJ a nod that told him it was okay. TJ nodded and took a deep breath. Alex smiled and stood up being the first to do so. She walked right up to Levi and Eren and proceeded to strike up a conversation to show the others that they were serious.

TJ anxiously stood up and joined his sister at the front of the class.

"So how was your day Mr. Rivaille?" She asked. Her question was met with the gasps of the rest of the class.

"Quite well, thank you, Alex." He said smiling a soft smile. She was a great student who was quite mature for her age and he wasn't very surprised to see her try and show the rest of the class that the teachers were nothing to fear.

"What about you Mr. Jaeger?" She asked turning her head.

"It has been interesting. I like being able to come back here, this school had so many great memories and coming back and working here is a great experience." Eren answered honestly.

"I'm glad," Alex said smiling obviously appreciating his answer. "Well, I'm looking forward to a great year with you two teaching me."

TJ stood there and listened to the teacher's answers and nodded along with their replies enjoying hearing their honesty.

The rest of the students stared at her with awe as she talked like she had known the teachers for years. They took a few minutes but slowly started to follow the lead of the other two students. It started with a few murmurs here and there until more and more students followed suit. Soon the whole classroom was filled with chatter and laughter.

The only student who stayed silent was Thomas. He sat in his chair glaring at the teachers from behind his backpack as they were so carefree in the conversation. He watched as the two students talking with the teachers looked so happy to do so. He couldn't imagine being happy talking to jerks like them. He just observed them trying to figure out how exactly they did it.

"If you want one of you can sit in my chair," Levi said as he sat up on his desk. "I don't really use it all that much. The other one of you can pull up a chair. That is if you want to." Levi shrugged hoping to talk to these two intriguing students a bit more.

"Well, I don't really have any other friends so I don't see why not." TJ shrugged with a light smile. If the only friends he ended up making today was his teachers and his sister he wouldn't mind. It seemed to be enough for him. That was two more friends then he was expecting to make.

"So how was your day," Eren asked TJ as it seemed Alex and Levi got carried away in their own conversation.

"It was actually pretty good," TJ admitted with a slight nod.

"That's good to hear." Eren smiled leaning forward on his elbows to take some of the strain of off his sore muscles.

TJ just sat there silent wanting to continue the conversation but not able to find the right words to do so. Eren decided to help him out.

"So anything in particular you want to talk about," He asked picking up his head.

"Um, I actually have a question," TJ said waiting for permission to proceed with asking.

"Alright shoot," Eren said giving him the confirmation needed.

"Do we really have to bring our parents in to meet the teachers," TJ asked scared knowing the answer he would receive.
