Levi was the first one up per usual. He had ran down the stairs and began to make breakfast making more than usual so that the kids could have a lot. They had gone to bed early last night and ended up only eating one meal yesterday so he knew they would be hungry. He proceeded to cook when he heard footsteps coming down the stairs.

"Um hey," TJ said.

"Hey breakfast is almost done," Levi told him and TJ nodded before taking a seat in the living room.

The next person down the stairs was Eren and he looked confused about how he was upstairs in the first place, but he had just assumed Levi brought him up there.

He walked into the kitchen and up to Levi giving him a kiss on the cheek wrapping his arms around him. "Did you carry me up the stairs last night?" He asked.

"Yup," you were so cute sleeping at the table I almost left you there," Levi smiled before calling out, "Breakfast is ready."

TJ had already walked into the room and was standing there. "Should I go wake Alex?" He asked, "if I don't wake her then she won't get up for like 5 more hours," TJ smiled.

"If you want to wake her sure," Eren smiled. "We could always let her sleep and just heat her up some food later," he said.

"Nah I'll wake her," TJ said before walking up the stairs to get his sister. He was too awkward to sit and eat with them alone, and he knew his sister would be upset if she missed breakfast.

Levi and Eren set the table and put out the food so that the kids could just grab what they wanted when they came down. TJ was first down the stairs and he came down and sat at the table. Alex had slowly made her way down the stairs yawning as she did. Her hair was tangled and messy it looked like she hadn't brushed it in weeks, but all that it was was a night of sleep.

"Good morning," Levi and Eren greeted her.

"Morning," she said back with a smile as she wiped her eyes.

They all sat down and ate before getting ready for the long day ahead of them.

They reviewed all the places they had to stop at and planned out what would be easiest to hit in what order. They decided on hitting the art store last since it was the farthest away. After naming off all the stores the kids had asked why there was a cellphone store on the list and Eren and Levi looked at each other.

"Busted," Levi said with a shrug. "We were going to get you guys phones." TJ looked as if he was about to say something in protest. "Look before you say anything hear me out," Levi said not letting him speak. TJ closed his mouth and raised his eyebrow. "You guys need phones," he said, "we want to make sure you both stay safe and I know it is safer to have a phone," he had started with. "Besides," he continued, "you guys will need them to contact your dad and your friends and us if you need a ride or anything else," Levi said. It almost sounded like he was trying to sell them something.

"But phones are expensive and we don't want you wasting your money on us," Alex added.

"Money is not an issue," Levi said with a shrug, "I mean have you looked around," he smiled. "We have plenty of money and I would rather use it for something that I know will be useful rather than let it just pile up," he said.

The kids stayed silent. TJ looked at Alex as if to say it's your decision. She looked at him with a look that asked, 'is it really okay to let them do that.' TJ just shrugged and nodded at her letting her know that she had to choose.

She looked back to Eren and Levi who were just looking back at them awaiting their response. "Do you really think it's the best idea?" She asked them.

" Honestly I really do," Levi said before looking at Eren.

"As do I," he said, "we just want to make sure you guys are safe."

Alex looked back at TJ to see what he was thinking but he just nodded at her telling her that he would agree with whatever she said.

"Okay then, I guess it's okay," she finally said.

They finished planning out all the stores they had to go to before getting in the car and heading towards their first stop. The first place they hit was the phone store since it was early there would be fewer people so it wouldn't take as long. They spent about an hour there which wasn't long compared to the four hours Levi and Eren had spent there on a separate occasion.

The next stop was the mall since they would be able to get a lot of stuff from the stores around the center. They had almost everything check off they just had two more stops left. They headed down the street which was where the next store they needed to hit was. Once they got there they had split up to divide and conquer. When they had met back up the kids had noticed that Eren and Levi had picked up the extra pillows and hair ties and the kids thought it pointless to argue now that they had already paid for them. They headed out to the car once everything was bought and paid for.

"All that's left is the art store," Eren said a bit excited. At least he was excited at first until his mind started throwing things at him, and then instead of excited he seemed more hesitant.

"Before we hit it who else is down to get some food, " Levi had asked. It had been over 4 hours since they had last eaten and Levi could see that the kids needed a break.

They both nodded with smiles that showed that they were excited to finally get off their feet. They need a bit of a break from all the running around. Levi nodded and Eren turned on the car and started heading to a place he knew the kids would like. Levi caught on and smiled when he figured out where they were going.

Eren pulled into the parking lot of Scouts Cafe. "I hope she's working today," Eren said to Levi as everyone started getting out of the car.

"She'd wonder why we aren't at work, and why we have two kids with us," Levi laughed as they headed into the restaurant.

"Hey guys," Mina said a little surprised to see them.

"Well there's our answer," Levi said when she came up and hugged the two.

They all followed her over to her section and took a seat at a table. "So who are these cuties," she said with a smile looking at the two kids with them.

"This is TJ and this is Alex," Levi introduced them. "They are some of our students," Levi said awkwardly not really knowing how to explain their circumstance.

"So you ditched work and took two of your students with you," Mina asked and Levi spoke before he could filter himself.

"Well the others didn't want to get in the van," he said before immediately regretting it. Mina looked shocked and Eren let out a panicked laugh.

"He's not serious," Eren said quickly.

"Don't worry they didn't kidnap us," Alex reassured her, "we got in willingly," She said before laughing along with Levi while Eren looked mortified.

TJ who had a huge grin on his face finally cleared it up. "Don't listen to my sister or Levi," he said with a laugh, "we got kicked out of our house and are staying with them for the time being that's all," he said and as an afterthought he added, "the principal gave us all time off to get settled in, we are just taking a break from getting supplies," he explained and Mina nodded before glaring at Levi.

"You scared the hell out of me," she said to Levi before turning to the kids. "I'm sorry about that," she said to TJ, "but these guys are really nice and I know they will take good care of you guys," she said with a sympathetic smile before adding, "and if they do anything you don't like let me or Hanji know and we will go and kick their asses," Mina smiled.

"Noted," TJ said and they laughed.

"Anyway, are you guys ready to order or do you need some time to think?" She said getting back to her job, not that it mattered no one was really sitting in her section yet since the restaurant wasn't all that busy. Lunch hour had just died down.

"I think the kids need some time to think," Levi laughed when he saw them just start reaching for the menus.

"Alright, and any drinks?"

"Just a water please," TJ had said.

"Lemonade please," Alex said.

"Alright, I'll bring those out for you," she said before leaving.

The kids looked at Eren and Levi with confusion before Levi spoke up, "she already has our whole order down," Levi laughed.

"We usually get the same thing almost every time," Eren laughed.

The kids nodded and by the time she had come back with everyone's drinks the kids were ready. They ordered their food and proceeded to talk amongst themselves. Mina would come and join them for a few minutes here and there but a few more customers had arrived so she had to leave every once in awhile to check on them. She had started talking to them about the wedding and how happy she was for them. She also said that if they wished she could get Scouts to cater for them, and she would get them a good discounted price. Eren and Levi thanked her and were really considering the offer.

Once their food came they all started eating and the kids told them that the food was delicious. "That's good," Levi said, "because we eat here a lot," he laughed.

They finished their food and as always Levi left Mina a big tip. They said goodbye and she hugged them all even the kids and told them to come back soon.

They got into the car and Eren started to drive to the art store. He felt a queasy feeling in his stomach. He loved this store it was his favorite, but the last time he was here he had run into one of the assholes who had ruined his life. That and the dream he had last night it was a recipe for a panic attack. He took a few deep breaths before shaking his head slightly trying to clear his mind. His hands gripped the steering wheel tighter the more his brain refused to stop playing those panicked thoughts.

Levi had looked at him and set his hand on the armrest and Eren took no time to intertwine their hands together gripping Levi's tightly to reassure himself he's okay.

"Qu'est-ce qui ne va pas,(what's wrong)" Levi asked and Eren just shook his head.

"Plus tard,(later)" he whispered.

The kids knew when they spoke in a different language is when they wanted some privacy so they ignored them, but they sure were curious what was going on.

Eren pulled up to the store and parked. He felt sick to his stomach with fear and his hands started getting shaky. He took another deep breath and got out of the car. 'I am not going to let them ruin this place for me,' he thought to himself before clearing his mind and walking into the store with his hand in Levi's and the kids walking in front of them.
