It took Eren a little while but he eventually managed to calm down. He had put himself through too much stress by his earlier actions. He should have known just how badly the memories would hit him after that stunt he had pulled, but at the time he hadn't cared. He had almost welcomed the pain at first.

He took a few more deep breaths and then nodded to tell Levi that he was calm enough to speak.

"Eren, is your depression really back?" Levi whispered faintly.

Eren just nodded before looking away from the outline of Levi's face. "Yes." He whispered closing his eyes in shame. He knew how hard Levi tried to keep his depression away, he knew what they had gone through the last time his depression came back.

"I'm sorry." he mumbled feeling guilty for not telling him even though he had asked so many times.

"Don't apologize," Levi whispered caressing Eren's cheek gently. "We'll just have to kick it in the ass again." He said faintly.

"Yeah," Eren replied and went to cup Levi's cheek, but was shocked at what he found.

His hand made contact with Levi's face and Eren felt the wet skin of his cheek. "Levi?" Eren whispered. He rarely sees Levi cry, and when he does it is the most heartbreaking thing.

"I'm fine Eren, I'm just worried about you," Levi said removing Eren's hand from his face and taking his hand in his and kissing it. "Let's get some sleep," Levi said as he pulled Eren close to him and held him tight. He wiped at the tears on his face trying to rid them before moving placing his arm back around Eren.

"Okay." Eren agreed and snuggle into his usual spot in the crook of Levi's neck. "Goodnight Levi."

"Goodnight Eren."

"I love you."

"I love you too," Levi said closing his eyes as he felt sleep weigh down on them.

"I need you," Eren whispered knowing Levi had already fallen asleep.

Eren laid there for about a half an hour before being sure Levi was completely asleep. He couldn't sleep and needed a place to think about what He was going to do. Normally he would have just gone into his studio and tried to paint away his emotions, but he didn't feel all that inspired at the moment.

He slowly slipped out of Levi's arms that held him so lovingly. He managed to slip away and he made his way over to the closet. He quietly grabbed a shirt and a sweater putting them on, also putting a pair of socks in his back pocket. He left the closet and went to leave the room. He paused in the doorway for a moment. "Sorry Levi," He said before leaving the bedroom and silently creeping down the stairs.

He saw his keys right where he left them on the table. Grabbing them he sat at the table for a moment to slide on his shoes.

He silently made his way out of the house making sure to lock the door behind him. He got in his car and backed out of the driveway. He started driving, he didn't really know where he was going he just knew he needed to go somewhere, anywhere to clear his head.

He drove wherever his mind took him he knew he had reached his destination when he saw the black mysterious sky before him. The reflection of the moon shining so bright on the water before disappearing behind the midnight clouds.

He turned off his car and sat there for a moment. He took off his shoes and rolled up his sweats getting out of the car locking it behind him. He walked out on the cold soft sand. He walked until he was only ten feet from the dark liquid. He plopped down in the sand and sat staring out at the pitch black sky. Every so often the moon would peek out from behind the clouds shimmering across the peaceful water.

Eren just sat there thinking, letting his mind wonder in every possible way to try and clear up any issues he was dealing with.

Then the main issue he was facing had crossed his mind. 'Is Levi cheating?' The question itself had made Eren feel sick. He sat there knowing that something wasn't right, he knew that there was something off with him. He was lying straight to Eren's face. Eren thought for a few minutes, "Maybe I should give him the benefit of the doubt." Eren was thinking of any possible way that Levi's actions could make sense, racking his brain for a solution, but each time he came up empty.

"Is there any possible explanation for Levi's questionable behavior that won't break my heart into pieces?" Eren asked himself unable to grasp any bigger picture that his actions could lead to. "Is he really cheating on me?" Eren asked himself feeling a slight pain in his chest trying to take hold of him.

"No, that doesn't make sense either." Eren sighed frustrated before plopping down laying in the sand. "Well, I guess I'll just have to wait and see," Eren told himself giving up on trying to figure this absurd situation out. "Innocent until proven guilty." He mumbled before rolling his eyes at how stupid he sounded.

He stood up and dusted the sand off of him. Surprisingly most of it came off quite easily. "I don't care anymore," Eren said with a sigh hoping that eventually, this would all make sense. "I'll just have to keep my faith in him." He said unconsciously frowning at the thought.

He walked back to his car. He hadn't known how long he was sitting on the beach, but when he turned on the car he had notice that over an hour had passed. "Oh," Is all he said noticing the time. He started to pull away. He didn't know where he was going whether he was going home or just driving somewhere, anywhere.

He drove in silence turning off his car next to some shops. He was facing a brick wall that signaled a dead end ahead. "Hmm, tempting," Eren said looking at the wall envisioning him doing a terrible thing. He turned on the car again and backed up slowly. "If I rammed my car into that at full speed I would surely die," Eren said aloud to himself when he had backed up a little ways from the wall.

"Hmm, how tempting that is." He said once more putting his car in drive and going forward.
