"Oh, no nevermind," Eren said piecing together what was happening. His tone became monotoned and he tried to carry out the rest of the conversation normally. "What is it you wanted to talk about?" He asked in a softer tone holding back the tears that threatened to slip.

"I was just wondering if you are okay going back to the school. Today you seemed a bit off, was it because you were back in that environment." Erwin asked concerned after watching Eren closely throughout the day.

"Yeah, about that, I'm fine coming back to the school. I was off today for a different reason, don't worry it won't happen again." Eren reassured him with a false uplifting tone.

"Alright, I'll let you get back to your night. Sorry to bother you, and if you need anything feel free to come to me." Erwin said before hanging up.

Eren started at his phone for a minute in disbelief rocking on his rapidly numbing legs. He fell to his knees with the phone in his hand. He couldn't help but let the tears fall. 'If he wasn't meeting with Erwin who was he meeting with?' Eren thought to himself. He tried to give him the benefit of the doubt for a moment scouring his thoughts for and explanation but it came up empty. His panic continued as he felt his chest tighten. His breathing sped up and he felt his lungs give with a final breath the room went dark around him.

Eren's panic attack had made it so that Eren couldn't breathe because his breath was coming out so rapid. His choking sobs became suffocating and had made him blacked out from lack of oxygen.

Eren forced his eyes open as he heard the familiar buzz. His eyes were bloodshot and crusted over from the dried tears that felt glued to his face. The bags under his eyes were puffy from crying so hard. His eyes felt so swollen and heavy that he wondered if he had been punched in the face. He sat up from the floor and grabbed his phone looking at it with annoyance. It looks like he had just missed a call, ten calls. "How long was I out," Eren asked himself beginning to panic seeing that Hanji had called him ten times. He went to call her back to see that she was calling again.

"Eren?" She said panicked her voice shaking from fear.

"Hey, I'm so sorry I missed my alarm." Eren lied glad he wasn't in front of her saying this or she would call him out in a heartbeat. Since he had just gained consciousness it had sounded as if he was sleeping his voice groggy.

"Oh thank god," She sighed in relieve. "When I saw it was almost seven I got scared I thought you may have gotten in a car accident, and when you didn't answer-." She cut off her next statement to stop her panicking. "Anyways I'm just glad you are alright." She said letting the rest of her panic out.

"Yeah, sorry, I didn't mean to worry you. I'll be over in like ten minutes." Eren said feeling a little guilty for making her wait.

"Alright, please drive slowly." She said before hanging up.

Eren quickly changed cleaning himself up. He also snapped a picture of the painting before he grabbed his keys jumping in the car.

The whole time he was getting ready his mind was elsewhere. He was thinking if he should confront Levi or not, to ask him what was really going on. At first, he wanted to deny it, but the facts were staring hm in the face. "If I ask him straight out-." Eren shook his head, 'No I can't. If he confirms it, it will just hurt more.' Eren thought sighing. 'He might even leave me if I ask him, he will think he doesn't have to hide it anymore.' Eren thought biting his lip out of stress. 'He is my everything if I lose him...' Eren's thoughts trailed off into hundreds upon hundreds of different scenarios. 

Eren had to make one of the toughest decision he would ever have to. Would he face Levi and possibly lose everything he ever loved, or would he pretend he didn't see what was happening and keep Levi with him even if it was only for a little while longer. He couldn't stand the thought of losing the one he loved most. His world was crumbling around him once again and it felt like everything that was good was disappearing. He hated the idea of Levi cheating on him but he wanted to be with him, he loved him.

'I'll just leave it be.' Eren thought. As much as it hurt him to do so he knew that he was happy with Levi. 'I don't like this, but I'm not ready to let him go' Eren thought holding back his tears. 'If playing dumb is what I need to do to keep him, then I will.' Eren thought letting out a forced shaky breath before pushing all those emotions to the side.

He parked the car outside Hanji's and put his mask on. "I'll deal with this later, right now I'm going to enjoy my night with Hanji," Eren said under his breath before walking up to her door.

When he knocked he heard the familiar excitement on the other side from the dogs.

Hanji swung the door open and greeted Eren with a smile. The dog jumped up giving him the usual loving greeting. He patted them both on the head as they wagged their tails."Hey, Eren glad you made it safe." Hanji said before pausing to look Eren in the eyes.

"Hey, are you alright?" She asked noticing his eyes were red and a little puffy.

"Yeah I had a nightmare, I'm fine now, though." He said with a counterfeit smile giving her the illusion that he was okay.

"Oh, well as long as you're okay now. If you want to talk about it, we can." She said giving him a comforting smile.

"Nah, I'll be fine," Eren said with a shrug and a forced half smile.

"Okay, well let's eat." She said leading him over to the table and setting a plate down in front of him. She sat down across from him and started to put some of the food on her plate.

Eren smiled and followed her lead. "Thanks, Hanji, For inviting me. Sorry I was late." Eren said still feeling bad that Hanji was sitting there scared out of her mind for almost a half hour waiting for him to show up or call her back.

"Any time, and don't worry about it." She said with a light chuckle, "I was the one overreacting."

"No, your response was perfectly natural. Anyways how did you enjoy the first day of school." Eren asked hoping to change the subject.
