Author's note~ Sorry if my french isn't perfect I have been learning it for a little while now but I really only know the basics. I am actually relying on my friend for the harder words, but even he has limited knowledge of the language. So if I do make a mistake please feel free to correct me.  

Levi checked his phone when he felt it vibrate to see a message from a number he didn't recognize. He tapped Eren to get his attention as he was staring at the kitchen entrance waiting for Hanji to come back. "They texted," He told him.

He read the text from TJ and Alex just loud enough so that Eren could hear. 'Sorry for the late response, but we wanted to make sure our mom wasn't going to come in the room and yell at us before texting. Thank you for the note she actually wasn't all that mad after reading it. She believed it which is surprising, but thanks to you we aren't in too much trouble. We are okay for now. From TJ and Alex.'

After reading the message he sent back a quick text telling them that if anything happens to text them immediately and to stay safe. He also advised them to delete the texts.

He put his phone away and Eren and he let out a mental sigh. The were so relieved to hear that they were okay.

Hanji came back into the front room wiping her hands on a rag before plopping down on the couch opposite to the two men. "So what did I miss?" She asked bringing her legs up and sitting with her legs crossed under her.

"You were only gone for two minutes," Levi said sarcastically as he rolled his eyes at her.

"A lot can happen in two minutes," Hanji said with a playful wink that suggested something more.

Levi gave her a slight glare telling her to keep her fantasies in her head.

"Anyways," she said with a giggle "the food is just about ready so I need to start setting out the plates," she said with a sigh before getting back up. As she got up right as a timer in the kitchen went off.

Levi got up and held his hand out for Eren to take, "Come on, let's go help her," Levi said with a smile, "if we don't she will break all of her dishes," he laughed.

Eren nodded and took his hand. "Well, what are we waiting for?" He asked with a slight laugh.

They walked into the kitchen right as Hanji was pulling out the plates from the cupboards. Levi rushed over to her. She was losing her grip on the dish as her attention shifted to the two that had just appeared in the hallway.

Levi grabbed the dishes that were about to slip from her hands, "I'm just gonna take those," he said saving her from broken dishes. "Why are you even using your nice dishes? Paper plates would have sufficed," Levi said rolling his eyes as he set the plates out on the table anyways.

"Because family dinners are special you'll deserve the nice dishes, not stupid paper plates," Hanji said as she pulled out the food from the oven and turned off a burner under a pot.

"That's very thoughtful of you Hanji," Eren butted in and gave Levi a look that told him to quiet the sarcastic comment that was about to leave his mouth.

Levi shrugged and listened to his boyfriends silencing stare.

After the boys finished setting the table Hanji had them take a seat before she presented the food to them with a proud look on her face. She looked at Levi almost waiting for his judgment of it.

"Merci pour le repas, Hanji. Je suis impressionné." Levi said with a nice smile looking at all of her hard work.

She nodded with a smile she only half understood what he had said. She had been around him long enough to know some of the basics. She never learned french so what he said to her when he spoke in french was usually simple. She could tell what he was saying was a compliment.

"Eren would you, be so kind as to translate for her?" Levi asked with a devious smirk looking over at Eren who already knew that was coming.

"Thanks for the meal, Hanji. I am impressed," Eren said rolling his eyes translating what Levi had said.

Hanji smiled as she sat down at the table with her boys. "Thank you Levi, did you really mean that?" She asked genuinely happy about the nice compliment that was given to her even if it was in a different language.

They ate dinner in peace and discussed some of the earlier things that had happened. They filled Hanji in on what was going on with TJ and Alex. She was a bit surprised to hear what they were going through, but she knew if anyone could help them through it it would be Eren and Levi. I mean hell they've beat this before they can beat it again.

They finished eating their dinner and even though Hanji insisted they let her do the cleaning and put everything away they immediately got up and started helping. They started their normal jobs that they always had whenever they ate at her house. Hanji was in charge of putting the leftovers away and cleaning off the table. Levi was the one to wash the dishes. Eren always dried the dishes and put them back into the cupboards back in their place.

It took them almost no time at all to clean up from dinner with all of them doing equal parts and helping out. When they were finished they sat around the living room with the dogs spread out next to them.

Levi sat on the couch attempting to stay away from the dogs since they were shedding a bit, but no matter how hard he tried he always ended up petting them when they walked up to him. Hanji sat on the couch next to Levi as a dog sat in front of her with his head resting in her lap. Eren was sitting on the floor in front of them with the other humongous dog spread across his lap.

They sat there in the peaceful silence for a few minutes just watching as the dogs enjoyed the company in any way they could. After a little while of chatting it was time for Levi and Eren to leave.

They gave Hanji a hug and thanked her for dinner. "Next time we are doing this at our house," Levi suggested. "I'll make something and we can even invite eyebrows," Levi said with a faint smile on his lips. He couldn't hide that he actually enjoyed when they hung out outside of work.

"I'd like that," Hanji said with a smile. "Maybe we will actually be able to drag him away from work," she laughed, "I mean Erwin loves your cooking," Hanji said rolling her eyes with a grin.

They finished their goodbyes and she made sure to tell them to have a safe drive back home and she sent them on their way with some leftovers.
