Eren got up to help Levi put the comforter on the bed. They quickly made the bed before sitting back down on the edge of it.

"Now I'm wide awake," Eren sighed. "I'm going to go shower," he said before standing up and heading to the bathroom. He stood in the doorway and turned his head to look at Levi. "You wanna join me?"

Levi nodded with a smile and followed Eren into the bathroom.

They took a relatively short shower since it was already getting late. When they finished they threw on some sweats and got back in the bed. The soap stung a little on Levi's back where there were fresh scratches from their previous activity.

Eren rolled over towards Levi and snuggled up next to his chest. "I love you," he whispered into his lover's chest.

"I love you too, Eren," Levi said back kissing him on the forehead. He wrapped his arm underneath Eren and one over the top and pulled him close. "Tu es un ange," Levi mumbled moving the hair out of Eren's eyes.

Eren was already asleep in his arms. "bonne nuit mon amour," he said before closing his eyes for the night.

Eren jolted awake from a dream that felt like he had been stabbed with a knife through his heart. He looked next to him and saw Levi still sleeping peacefully. With his arms still lovingly wrapped around Eren. Eren felt like he couldn't move and his breath was caught in his throat as he held back the sobs that desperately dared to escape.

He was thinking about trying to slip past Levi's arms, but just looking at Levi after that dream made him want to cry. He didn't want to wake his lover, but all he wanted was to hug him and be assured that he loved him.

He was so deep in his thoughts that he forgot he was holding in his sobs and a cry slipped past his lips. He was afraid to look at Levi's face as he felt the movement of his lover next to him who had shot awake hearing his whimpers.

"Eren?" Levi questioned looking down at his lover who had his head facing down in away from him. It took him a matter of seconds to notice that Eren was shaking. He quickly wrapped his arms around him and pulled Eren into his chest to comfort him.

Eren was quick to accept Levi's comforting gesture and wrapped his arms around his trying to bury his face even deeper into his lover's warm and loving arms.

Levi rubbed Eren's back and whispered into his ear to calm him down. When Eren had calmed down enough that he wasn't choking on his sobs Levi decided to ask what happened. "What's wrong," he asked holding Eren firmly in his arms.

"Nightmare," Eren whispered hoping that would be enough to get Levi to leave the subject alone, but of course he knew that wouldn't work.

"What happened in it?" Levi asked.

"You," Eren hesitated, "you-you left me," Eren whispered as tears slipped from his eyes once more and he choked out a sob as he tried to hold them in.

Levi looked at him for a moment before he moved his hands from around Eren's back to his cheeks. He pushed his hair out of his face and started wiping his tears away. "Eren, I won't leave you," Levi said leaning down and placing a kiss on Eren's forehead. "I want to spend the rest of my life with you," he said before brushing his lips against Eren's.

"But," Eren mumbled but bit his lip to stop him from saying what he was going to say. "I want to stay with you too," he said before collapsing against Levi's chest.

Levi heard Eren say but almost like he was going to object to something. 'Does he not want to be with me anymore?' Levi thought but just hugged Eren tighter in his arms.

When Eren fully calmed down he sat up and cleared his throat. "We need to get ready for work," he said keeping his head lowered and his eyes towards the floor away from Levi's. He got out of the bed and started getting ready. He tried to find a shirt that would cover the marks left by Levi but to no avail.

Levi soon followed, but he was unsure of what just happened. His thoughts were still eating at him, 'did Eren want to break up?' Levi shook his head trying to clear his head of the thought. 'That couldn't possibly be true,' he thought rethinking all of the evidence and proved his thought wrong. 'Maybe it was just a slip of the tongue,' he though. Either way 'I'll have to do it soon or I might just miss my chance,' Levi thought rubbing the back of his neck at his decision. 'Am I really going to do this?' He asked himself as his nerves ate at him. 'I have too,' he told himself.

Eren walked back in the room and it snapped Levi back to reality when he asked him if he was going to get ready.

"Huh, oh yeah, I'll meet you downstairs," Levi said with a little smile.

They finished up the rest of their morning routine in silence as the air had an exhausting feel to it. On their way to the school as Eren held Levi's hand while he drove he decided to ask a question that had plagued his mind since he got in the car. "Are you meeting with Erwin tonight?" He asked looking out the window not even wanting to see Levi's expression. He knew it was a lie anyways, he didn't want Levi lying straight to his face as he watched he would rather turn away and ignore the oh so obvious signs. The hesitation in his answer the blinking or looking away and more.

"Yeah, I'll try and be home earlier tonight, but tomorrow I'm all yours," Levi said glancing at Eren as he pulled into the parking spot shutting off the car. Eren had been avoiding eye contact with him since he woke up this morning. "Hey Eren," Levi said getting his attention.

Eren didn't turn around but just hummed in response.

"Why have you been avoiding my eye contact?" He asked. His attempt to keep his question monotoned failed and it was easy to hear the hurt in his desperate voice.

"I'm sorry," Eren whispered and turned his head towards Levi but he kept his eyes down. "It's just hard to right now," Eren admitted and bit his lip to keep from crying.

"Why? Are you mad at me?" Levi asked placing a hand on Eren's cheek.

Eren was quick to push the hand away, "no," he said quickly, "It's not like that. It's just that," Eren hesitated, "in my dream, I looked right in your eyes as you broke my heart and it hurt. When I look at you right now all I can see is your face saying that you feel nothing anymore and that you never loved me," Eren paused and squeezed Levi's hand, "but I know that's not true, I just don't want to be reminded about that right now," Eren said through a shaky voice.

"Eren," Levi said concerned as he reached out to put his hand back on Eren's cheek, but he hesitated for a moment and put his hand down. "Eren close your eyes," Levi whispered.

Eren nodded and closed his eyes only to feel a moment later Levi's soft lips pressed gently up against his own. "I'm sorry Levi," Eren mumbled after Levi broke away from the kiss.

"Don't apologize," he told him hugging him close. "It's okay," he said hugging him tightly. 'That's it, I have to do it tomorrow,' Levi thought as he looked down at Eren who was trying to hold back his tears as he clung to Levi. 'If I don't do it tomorrow I'll regret it," he thought.
