"I'm on my way," Eren said grabbing his keys and sliding on his shoes as Levi gave him a concerned look getting up and following him. He forgot one thing though, his jacket. "What happened is he alright," Eren asked desperately.

"There is no current news about his condition aside from he's unconscious and has been since he got here, we will know more within the hour," the man explained. Eren hung up the phone shortly after as he unlocked his car.

Levi had followed him confused about what was happening but he went with it anyway. When Eren hung up he got in the car and Levi got in the passenger seat. "What's happening?" Levi asked as Eren hand was shaking as he tried to put the key in the ignition. He kept missing and that's when Levi noticed that Eren was crying and his breathing was jagged. He reached his hand out and placed it on Eren's leg.

Eren looked up at him as if he was asking for help.

Levi took the keys from his hand and put it in the ignition. "Do you mind telling me what that call was?" Levi asked patiently and calmly wanting to know what had Eren in such a panicked rush.

"He- call- hurt," Eren said in between his jagged uneven breaths as he tried to get out everything at once.

"Shh, shh, it's okay. Eren breathe," Levi cooed as he brought his hand up to his fiance's back and rubbed it to try and calm him down. "One thing at a time," Levi suggested after Eren tried to say everything at once ending up in a bunch of gibberish.

Eren nodded and took a few breaths trying to calm his mind a bit so the answers will come out easier.

"Okay, who called," Levi asked first.

"The hospital," Eren answered quickly.

"Why did the hospital call?" Levi asked starting to get concerned as well.

"Jean," Eren said before he started breathing quickly again. His sentences came out broken but Levi got the point. "Car accident- unconscious," he stammered.

"Okay," Levi said processing, "what's his condition?" He asked he was trying so desperately to remain calm for Eren but he had started panicking as well.

"Undetermined," Eren mumbled, "I shouldn't have let him go, I should have driven him," Eren said guiltily.

"Eren, this isn't your fault," Levi said as Eren put his head against the steering wheel.

He turned the keys and Levi put his hand over his. Asking if he was stable enough to drive Eren nodded and took a breath.

Eren handed Levi his phone and told him to call Marco to see if he was notified. Eren drove as Levi called the phone going to voicemail. Levi hung up and told him he didn't answer. Eren cursed and told him they would try again when they got there.

Marco was just getting off work when a patient was getting ushered into the emergency room. They were unconscious and bleeding pretty badly. He heard the doctors talking saying it was a car accident. He didn't think much of it until they said that his hand was already broken previous to the crash.

He thought for a second 'could it be?' He shrugged it off saying, 'there was no way,' that was until he was about to walk out of the room.

"Someone call his most recently called contact," A nurse walked out of the room after Marco.

Marco kept walking until he heard. "Hello, Is this Eren Jaeger?" the man asked.

Marco stopped dead in his tracks. He immediately turned around running back in the room. He ran right smack into one of the doctors which just happened to be the one he was working for today.

"Marco, I thought you were heading home-," she started to ask before noticing the tears pricking at his eyes which he didn't even notice. "What's wrong?"

"That's my boyfriend in there," he said in a panic.

"Oh my," she said turning her head around to look at Jean. "Look, go wait in the waiting room, I'll make sure he gets in a room faster, okay. We can't let you in there I'm sorry," she said honestly. She could see the pain in his eyes all he wanted was to check on him.

Marco nodded and took a deep breath and headed to the waiting room. He was pacing back in forth. He couldn't lose Jean he just couldn't.

Not long after they got the phone call Eren and Levi rushed into the hospital. When they made it to the waiting room they were going to call Marco again but realized he was standing right there and it looked like he already knew.

"Marco?" Eren asked walking up to him snapping him out of his mind.

"Eren?" Marco said looking up. He didn't know what to say he wanted to say so much but his mind was just blank.

Eren just threw his arms around him and hugged him. "I'm sorry," Eren said a few times holding onto Marco. "I shouldn't have let him drive home," Eren said.

Marco just hugged Eren tighter. "No, knowing him he would have insisted even if you tried," Marco said. "He's stubborn he will fight and pull through," Marco said taking a deep breath keeping a positive attitude.

After sitting in that waiting room for a while Marco's eyes started to wander around. He wanted to distract himself from what was happening. He was looking at anything and everything nothing was taking his mind of Jean until he looked over at Eren who was sitting with his head down.

Marco saw Eren's arms and his eyes widened slightly. He had never really seen Eren without long sleeves or a jacket. There were so many scars. He took a deep breath and pulled his mind back, 'it's none of my business,' he told himself when he saw they were all closed and old scars.

He let his eyes look around again they landed on Levi's who was looking straight at him. Levi gave him a silent thank you and then looked back towards Eren who was shaking still.

They stayed in the waiting room for what seemed like forever since the minutes could have easily passed for hours with how slowly they would go by. Eventually, the doctor that promised Marco that she would do everything in her power to speed the process along had walked out to greet them and tell them what was wrong.

"Good news," she said with a smile, "he's awake, a little grumpy, but awake,' she said and Marco walked up and hugged her. He knew that she was already supposed to clock out by now but she stayed just to be able to do this for Marco. "He's asking for you," she said.

"Can I see him now?" Marco asked almost begging.

"Yes but let me tell you what's wrong first," she said and Marco's heart almost stopped.
