Asking Everyone
Eren was about to stand up to start teaching when Levi cleared his throat. Eren gave him a weird look and Levi slightly tugged at the cuff of his own sleeve to let Eren know what exactly he was forgetting to do.
Eren looked down and saw he had never rolled down his sleeves and quickly did so. Afterwards, he stood up and walked over to the board giving Levi a look that said thank you.
They finished the class and had another free period since all the kids were in the gym. Hanji had decided she would have fun annoying them while they hung out. She walked in and sat down on the desk while they were talking in the chairs.
"Whatcha doing," she asked in a really annoying dragged out nosy tone.
"We were talking about the wedding, but we are going to change the subject now," Levi said rolling his eyes.
"What why?" Hanji pouted.
"Because we want to decide what we want before we ask for other people's opinions," Levi said and Eren nodded.
"Oh," Hanji said, "hard to argue with that," she shrugged. "Well have you at least decided who your best mans are going to be?" She asked.
"Erwin," Levi shrugged.
"Fair enough," Hanji smiled. "How about you?" She turned asking Eren.
"At first I was thinking, even though she's not a guy, I was going to ask Mikasa, but I think I'm going to just go with Jean," Eren said.
"What are you guys going to do about the groomsmen?" Hanji asked.
"Well, not all of them are going to be men," Eren said with a smile. "But I think we have a pretty good idea of who we are choosing."
"Should we start asking them today?" Levi asked.
"Yeah, it would be easier since we already know who we are going to pick" Eren nodded.
"Alright," Levi smiled before turning to Hanji. "Will you be one of my groomsmen?" He asked with a sincere smile.
Hanji took a minute processing the information before squealing really loudly making them cover their ears.
"I'll take that as a yes," Levi laughed.
Hanji jumped up and hugged him tightly, "Damn right that's a yes," she squealed.
"Alright, alright, don't get all touchy-feely on me," Levi said shaking his head, but the smile never left his face.
"What is going on in here?" Erwin asked walking into the class. "Is Hanji getting murdered I heard her yell," He paused looking at Levi and Hanji. Hanji was hugging Levi and Levi was smiling? 'What an odd sight,' Erwin thought.
"Erwin," Levi called. "I wanted to talk to you," Levi said when Hanji finally let go of him.
"Okay?" Erwin said walking up.
"I was wondering if you would be my best man for the wedding," he asked.
"I would love too," Erwin said with a smile he kept his calm unlike Hanji, but you can see in his eyes he was excited.
Eren smiled and pulled out his phone calling Jean.
"Hello?" Jean asked his voice raspy sounding as if he just woke up.
"Jean," Eren sighed, "It's the middle of the day, what are you still doing sleeping?" He asked disappointed, but a little jealous.
"I had a long night last night," Jean said sounding proud.
"Gross," Eren said before changing the subject. "Anyways, I have a question for you," he said.
"Okay? What do you need?" Jean asked.
"I was wondering if you would like to be my best man?" Eren asked and he heard silence on the other end of the phone. All of the sudden there was a lot of background noise and commotion on the other end. "Jean?" Eren asked.
"Holy shit, of course, I will," Jean said sounding wide awake now.
"Jean?" Marco said stirring awake from Jean jumping out of the bed.
"Is that Marco?" Eren asked.
"Yeah," Jean said, "he took off work today because he was too sore to-."
"I don't need to know the details," Eren interrupted, "Put me on speaker," Eren said and Jean did.
"Hey Marco," Eren said.
"Hi Eren," Marco called out.
"Congrats," Eren said first.
"Thanks," Marco said with a smile and a little giddy laugh.
"Anyways, I was wondering if you would be one of my groomsmen," Eren asked.
Marco sat there and a smile rose on his face. "I would be honored," Marco replied.
"I'm glad," Eren laughed. "Is Armin there too?" He asked.
"Yeah let me go find him," Jean said walking quickly to the bedroom door.
"Jean," Marco said almost as a warning.
"What?" Jean questioned turning his head to face Marco.
"Boxers," Marco said with a smile and a raised eyebrow.
Jean looked down to see he was still naked from last night. "Oh, right," Jean laughed awkwardly before hurrying over to the closet.
"Gross," Eren said again placing a hand over his face rubbing at his temple.
Jean walked out and ran over to Armin's room and knocked on the door. "Armin," he called. "Someone's on the phone for you," he said.
Armin walked out of the room. It was obvious he had been either studying or working on homework or something. He had a pencil stuck behind his ear and pen ink on his lip where he must have been nervously tapping a pen. His hair was slightly pulled back out of his face using clips. "Who is it?" Armin asked.
"It's Eren," Eren said still on speakerphone.
"Oh, hey Eren," Armin said waving at the phone before lowering his hand realizing that Eren couldn't see him waving.
"I have a question for you," Eren asked.
"Lay it on me," Armin said waiting for the question.
"Armin, will you be one of my groomsmen?" Eren asked.
Armin smiled, "Yes, I would love too," Armin smiled widely.
"Good," Eren said smiling, "I'm so glad," he said relieved. "Well, I should get going," Eren said, "I still have to call Mikasa." With that, they said goodbye and hung up.
Eren dialed Mikasa's number and asked her the same question. She laughed and said yes after Eren informed her she wouldn't be the only female groomsmen.
He finished asking his people and watched as Levi punched in a number on his phone.
"Molbit," he said, "Hey I was wondering if you would be one of my groomsmen," he said and it looked like he was pleased with his answer. Afterwards, he punched in one more number and waited as the phone rang. "Mina?" he asked when someone finally answered.
"Hey Levi," she answered cheerfully.
He asked her the question and explained she wouldn't be the only female groomsmen, but he sounded almost nervous when explaining it like she would think it was weird or something to be asking girls.
"Of course I would love to," she smiled happily.
They had finished getting all of their groomsmen... for now, Hanji was still bouncing happily in her chair, but Erwin had already left the room to get back to his work. There were only a few minutes left until their last class started. Hanji finally stood up ran over and hugged her boys again before running happily back to her room.
The kids started to enter the room and Levi and Eren were all smiles, and the kids couldn't help but think it weird that Mr. Rivaille was smiling. Mr. Jaeger is nice and smiles a lot so it wasn't so weird for him to be smiling, but Mr. Rivaille, smiling, that was rare. They all figured they had something amazing planned or they were up to something, but in reality, they were just happy that they got to make all of their friends days with one simple question.
