I ran out onto the streets of NY. I saw a Chitari coming my way. I pulled my gun out and shot it a few times before it finally went down. I ran down the stairs and up ahead I saw Steve, Nat and Clint.

"Ana." Natasha was the first to see me. I smiled.

"Hey." I said shooting down a Chitari. I hid behind a car besides Clint, Nat and Cap.

"We got civilians trapped in that building." Loki flew past us followed by other Chitari shooting down the street. I stood up and shot down two.

"We got this, go." I tell Steve.

"You think you could hold them off?"

"Captain it'd be my genuine pleasure." Clint told him before pulling out an arrow and shooting down a Chitari.

Nat and I began shooting at the others as Cap left.

I ran over to the bus alongside Clint as we helped people out of it. I ran over to the door and pulled it open as people flooded out. They ran off to safety. Clint ran to help Natasha out. I was about to leave until I heard crying from inside the bus. I hopped inside and saw a little boy about the age of 4 or 5.

"I want my mommy." He screamed as there was another explosion. I ran over and scooped the boy up into my arms.

"Shh it'll be okay." I told him as I ran off the bus. He continued to cry. Clint saw me with the kid.

"Take him somewhere safe. Nat and I got this." I didn't argue and ran off with him. I ran down the stairs into the subway where a bunch of people were hiding. I set the boy down but he clung onto my leg. I kneel down and hugged the boy.

"I promise you will find your mommy, but for now I'm going to need you to stay here so you'll be safe, okay?" I asked him. He wiped his eyes with his hands and nodded. I lightly smiled at him. I walk him over to the crowd of people. "Hey." I said getting one woman's attention. "Can you keep an eye on him for me?" I asked her pleadingly. She nodded. "Thank you." I told her as I ran out of there.

I jumped up onto a car and shot down several chitari that snuck up behind Nat. More of them came but were struck down by lightning as Thor came crashing down.

"What's the story upstairs?" Steve asked Thor as I hopped off the car.

"The power surrounding the cube is impenetrable."

"Thor's right, we gotta deal with these guys." Tony stated.

"How do we do that?" I asked.

"As a team." Steve told me.

"I have unfinished business with Loki." Thor says.

"Yea? Well get in line." Clint said adjusting one of his arrows.

"Save it. Loki is going to keep the fight focused on us and that's what we need. Without that one of these can run wild. We got Stark on top he's gonna need us to-" He was cut off by the sound of a motor. We turned and saw Bruce on a motorcycle. We went over to him.

"So, this all seems horrible." Bruce commented.

"I've seen worse." I've said.

"Sorry."

"It's cool , we could use a little worse."

"Stark, we got him."

"Banner?"

"Just like you said."

"Then tell him to suit up." Tony says. "I'm bringing the party to you." After Tony said that I saw him flying towards us with one of those huge things the Chitari came here in.

"I-I don't see how that's a party." Nat said. Bruce started walking towards it.

"Dr. Banner now might be a good time to get angry." Steve told him. He looked back at him.

"That's my secret Captain. I'm always angry." After he said that he grew into the hulk. The hulk punched it in it's face slowing it down. It went up and was going to fall onto us.

"Hold on." Tony said before shooting the backside of it. I crouched down as Steve shielded me and him as it exploded and slid off to the side. I stood up as we all got ready to fight again. The hulk roared with the Chitari. I looked up towards the portals opening and saw more coming.

"Guys." I said gaining there attention.

"Call it Captain." Tony said.

"Alright listen up. Until we could close that portal our priority is containment. Barton, I want you on that roof eyes on everything, you call out patterns and strays. Stark, you got perimeter, anything gets more then 3 blocks out you turn it around or you turn it to ash."

"Wanna give me a lift?" Clint asks Tony.

"Better clench up, legolas."

"Thor, you have to try and bottle up that portal, slow them down, you got the lightning, light the bastards up. Ana. You, me and Romanoff stay here on the ground and keep the fighting here and hulk. Smash." The hulk grinned before jumping up into a building. I felt myself being thrown back. I lightly groaned as I felt blood trickle down my face. I stood up, but was pinned to a hood of a cab. I gripped the back of the chitari's neck and pulled something out which killed it somehow. I pulled the gun out of its hand and stabbed the Chitari behind that one in the face with it. I spun around prepared to shoot but it was only Steve.

I leaned against a car.

"You know none of this is going to mean a damn thing if we don't close that damn portal." I told him.

"Guns couldn't touch it."

"Well maybe it's not about guns." Natasha stated limping over.

"If your gonna get up there you're gonna need a ride." He tells Nat.

"I gotta ride. I'm going to need a boost though." She told him. He back up with his shield ready.

"You sure about this?" He asks her.

"Yea, its gonna be fun." She said before she ran forward jumping onto a car and then the shield. Steve pushed her up as she got ahold of one of the Chitari's rides. I lightly smirked.

"Steve behind you" I yelled as he swung his shield back knocking down the Chitari. I pointed the gun at one and shot it down. I stabbed it into another Chitari. I yanked on the gun but it wouldn't come out. I sighed.

"I'm on it." I hear Cap say. "Ana they have civilians trapped I'm going to go get them out." He told me.

"Go I can handle this." He nodded and took off.

I yelled out in pain. I looked down and saw blood, my suit was absorbing it. I grimaced.

"I can shut the portal. Can anybody copy? I can shut it."

"Do it." I hear Cap say.

"No wait." Tony protested.

"Stark these things are still coming. We got a nuke coming in, it's going to blow in less then a minute." Cap said.

I fell to the ground. I turned onto my back. I waited for the Chitari to kill me but before it had the chance it was grabbed and pulled apart m the hulk. I sighed but then coughed.

"Ow." I said. I pushed myself up. The hulk picked me up catching me by surprise and took off. I yelled out and clung onto him. He landed in front of Thor and Steve. He set me down. I stumbled forward, Steve caught on to me.

"Stark that's a one way trip." Steve told Tony. I clutched onto my stomach.

"Ana." Tony said.

"Tony." I said still applying pressure to my wound.

"I love you Ana." I looked up at the sky where he flew up with the nuke.

"I love you too Anthony."

He disappeared into the portal.

One by one the Chitari surrounding us dropped to the ground. I stared up into the sky waiting for Tony to show.

"Close it." Cap said. I watched the portal starting to close. A single tear slid down my cheek. But then I saw something. "Son of a gun."

"He's not slowing down." Thor stated before he started swinging his hammer. Before Thor had the chance to fly up and catch Tony the hulk jumped up and caught him while crashing into a building then into a car on the ground. Steve helped me up as we ran over to them. Well they did. I felt myself becoming light headed.

"Shit." I mumbled. I'm losing too much blood at this rate I'm going to pass out. As they turned Tony on his back, I stumbled to the ground next to him.

Thor pulled Tony's mask off. The reactor wasn't glowing and his eyes were closed.

"Tony." I said. He wasn't responding. "No." I whispered looking down. Hulk let out a roar, a gasp was heard from Tony.

"What the hell. What happened." I breathed a sigh of relief. "Please tell me nobody kissed me, unless it was Ana then I don't care."

"We won." Steve said. Another dizzy spell came over me.

"Alright, hey, good job guys let's not come in tomorrow, let's just take a day. Have you ever tried Shwarma? There's a Shwarma joint, right about 2 blocks from here. I don't know what it is but I want to try it."

"We're not finished yet.

"Then Shwarma after."

"Can one of you help me up?" I asked. Thor wrapped his arm around me hoisting me up. "Your gonna have to go without me." I said.

"Why?" Steve asked.

Before I even attempted to respond, black spots swarmed my vision and I fell limp in Thor's arms.

Yes I finally updated a long some what decent chapter.

Next chapter will be the last for the Avengers then I'm gonna head into Iron Man 3.
