Chapter 42: Murder in Hawkins

Amelia sighs as she sits anxiously in her seat with Mike and Eleven as they head on towards Leona Hills, California. Amelia knew it was going to be warm in California, so she dressed in a short sleeve white floral shirt with a long white skirt. Eleven sat in the middle while Mike took the aisle seat. Amelia had her eyes glued out the window, watching them approach the airport. The captain has announced their arrival as the wheels hit the ground, welcoming them to their destination. Walking through the crowd, they make their way out of the plane and begin to look around for Will, Joyce, Bob, and Johanthan.

"Mike! El! Over here!"

The three of them hear a voice calling out from the crowd and they could see Will, Johnathan and... Amelia assumed that was Argyle, Johnathan's friend and stoner buddy.

"Mike!" Will smiles big and hugs him tight as Mike rushes towards him with a big smile.

"Oh! Hey. How you doing?" Mike hugs him tight, patting his back.

"Hey, Mike." Will smiles big, his eyes lighting up as he greets him. He looks and sees Eleven and give her a big smile and a hug, "Hey, El, I missed you guys."

"We missed you, too." Eleven says and hugs him back tight.

"Hey, Johnathan!" Amelia smiles big and hugs him tight.

"Hey, we missed you so much." Johnathan grunts as he hugs Amelia and pulls away to look at Amelia, up and down, "You look amazing."

"Aw, thank you. Where's your mom and dad?" She asks.

"Mom is at home, selling encyclopedias as usual. Or trying to. Bob, actually, couldn't be here. His mom isn't doing so well. He went down to Florida for a few days. He'll be back before spring break is over." He says.

"Oh, dear, I hope she's okay." Amelia says and eyes him with a knowing look, "So, are you gonna tell Nancy?"

Johanthan frowns at her, "What?"

"Johnathan, this is me you're talking to. I know about the letter. Congratulations." She gives him a smile.

Johanthan sighs and gives her a small one, "Thanks."

"Hey...she'll understand." Amelia sighs and cups his cheek.

Johanthan nods, not really believing it, but nods anyway. He, suddenly, frowns when he looks over and sees his buddy Argyle staring at Amelia in awe and wonder. Argyle was exactly as Amelia pictured. He carried long dark hair that went down to his abdomen, his eyes were red and dilated. He carried a beach hat that read Surf's Boy Pizza and carried a logo of a surfer eating a pizza. Even his yellow t-shirt carried the logo and words. It was pretty obvious he worked as a pizza guy.

"Um...Argyle, I presume." Amelia smiles.

"Woah, you're, like, seriously hot!" Argyle exclaims. "You're right, Johnathan, she is a babe!"

Johnathan blushes and clears his throat, "Dude! Shut up." He mutters.

Argyle moves and places a gentle hand on her belly, "Congratulations on making life. That's totally cool." He moves and goes to greet Mike and Eleven.

Amelia couldn't help but giggle, "I really hope you two are playing it safe with all the..." She inhales, mimicking smoking. "No offense, Johnathan, you kinda smell."

Johnathan frowns and lifts his shirt to sniff, he did smell...just like weed, "Sorry. Uh, I promise not to smoke around..." He gestures at her belly.

"Thank you." She chuckles and looks over to see Argyle chattering with Mike and Eleven.

"Uh, what's that?" Mike asks Will as he was holding something wrapped up.

"Um, it's nothing. Just this painting I've been working on." Will stutters and blushes.

"Cool." Mike nods and grins then looks over to see Argyle.

"That's a rad shirt, man. Ocean Pacific?" Argyle says, admiring Mike's clothes.

"Oh, hey, Mike. This is, uh, my friend Argyle." Johnathan scratches his head as he introduces him.

"Oh. Hey." Mike nods at him but frowns when Argyle moves to, what Mike thought, hug him, but he was just checking the tag on Mike's shirt.

"Oh no, no, no. No, it's a shitty knockoff." Argyle scoffs and moves away. "But don't sweat it. I'll get you the good threads out here. I heard a lot about your sister."

Johnathan grunts and grimaces in embarrassment, "Uh. O-Okay. Um, should we go?"

"Yeah, this is kinda awkward." Amelia giggles.

"Yeah, so awkward." Will mutters and moves to hug Amelia. "Hi." He smiles big and walks with her towards the luggage area as she wraps and arm around his waist.

"I really thought it was Ocean Pacific." Argyle says in disappointment.

"Soooo..." Amelia sings.

"Sooo..." Will chuckles and mimics her.

"I got a little surprise in my bag for you." She smiles and hugs him tighter. "Happy Birthday!"

Will smiles big, "Thank you."

She sighs and looks over to the others, obviously they were all in their own world as the chattered back and forth, walking ahead of the two of them.

"Hey, it's a busy time. Don't take it so hard on your mom and brother." She says softly.

"I know." He sighs and looks to watch Mike and Eleven hug each other, kissing as they walk with Johnathan and Argyle. He watches with a deep ache.

Amelia sighs and hugs him again, "I know it hurts. But...you'll find love. I promise." She grunts and rubs her stomach, "Oof. They're active." She winces.

"Can I feel?" He didn't need to ask how she knew about his secret.  It was Amelia...she knows everything.

"Sure. Give me your hand." She takes his hand and gently presses it against her side. "Feel that?"

Will exclaims at the movement, "Wow!" He smiles big.

Amelia smiles, "That was James. He's saying 'Hi'."

"You can tell?!"

She nods, "Mm-hmm. They have both have a different aura. James is more active than his sister. He makes a 'bruulll' motion against my stomach and side." She holds a finger up as they both jump when they feel what she described, "See?"

Will laughs and smiles.

"And....say hello to Amy." She moves his hand to another part of her stomach. "She's got a big temper. Like her father." She smiles warmly. "Feel that? She hits a little stronger than James. She's gonna be a spoiled one. She's more of a 'brrrr'." They laugh as Amy does the sensation.

Will gives her a soft smile and hugs her, "I can't wait to see them."

"Me, too." She sighs and sees Mike and the others waiting for them, "Come on, we better catch up." She says as they pick up the pace to rejoin everyone.

Back in Hawkins, Theo was helping Robin and Steve with Family Video, Robin was gushing about her triumph last night at the game with Vicki. While they were restocking the videos, Robin couldn't stop talking.

"Then Vicki laughed. And it wasn't like a cheap, fake laugh either. It was like It was a real, genuine laugh." Robin smiles big.

"Of course. It's my Muppet joke. It's hilarious." Steve says, taking the credit.

Robin rolls her eyes, "My point is that Vicki laughed, and everything was just like...It was perfect." She sighs, but Theo could see her doubt.

"I'm sensing there's a 'but'." He says as he rolls past her in a chair.

"But I'm having this problem where it's like, I should stop talking. I have said everything I need to say. But then I guess I get nervous, and the words keep spilling out, and it's like my...my brain is moving faster than my mouth, or...or rather my...my mouth is moving faster than my brain. I'm digging this hole for myself, and I want to stop digging, I'm trying to stop, but I can't. And I'm doing it right now, aren't I?" Robin babbles, then finally sighs out a breath.

Theo turns in his chair, "Yeah, you are."

Groaning in despair, Robin falls against the wall, "Oh, I'm hopeless." She moans.

Steve scoffs, "Eh. We both are." He leans on the wall next to her.

"I don't smell hopeless. Hair-boy, maybe and hint of desperation..." Theo states till Steve cuts him off.

"Not literal, Theo." Steve waves him off.

"I still don't understand the problem with you humans and attraction. You like her, simply find out if she likes you. Go up to her and say in four simple words..." He begins to count with his fingers, "Do...you...like...me?"

"It's so hard to explain this to a demon. It's not as easy as it sounds. Have you ever been afraid of rejection?" Robin asks.

Theo rubs his chin, "Hmmm...not really."

Robin sighs, "You need to experience the fear to understand what I'm feeling right now." She lets her head fall back and looks towards Steve, "If only we could just, like, combine."

"Combine?" Steve frowns as Theo gives her a disgusted look.

"No, think about it. I know exactly what I want, and I've found the girl of my dreams, but I can't get the courage to ask her out." Robin points out.

"Mm."

"Meanwhile, you go on a million dates. And you have no idea what you want." Robin sighs.

"Mm-hmm."

"And, Theo, you're not afraid of anything. I wish I had that courage. So, if we just combined, all our problems would be solved. Because, I mean, alone, let's face it..."

"We totally suck." Steve sighs out.

"Totally and utterly." Robin says as she moves away.

"I don't suck. Do I suck?" Theo frowns and points at himself.

Robin giggles and turns the chair around, shoving him away, "You rule, but being a human, you kinda do. You have so much to learn."

Theo grunts and hops out of the chair, "Well, I've only been human for about five months. Every human is different."

"You need to find yourself. And yet, be the opposite of 'demon'. What are your hobbies?" Steve asks.

"I like to kill, eat, kick ass. The usual." Theo shrugs.

"Basically, described a hunter/football player. Which is half of the population in Hawkins." Robin snorts and gasps as she finds a movie, "Ooh, I think I found our morning movie." She grabs it and holds it up for the boy to see.

"Oooh, Doctor Zhivago." Theo grins.

"Ugh, you know I don't do double VHS." Steve grimaces.

"But it's about doomed love." Robin states.

"Oh, well, that's relatable."

"Precisely. Also, Julie Christie is b-b-bonkers hot in this. Like, seriously, the most beautiful creature I have seen in my life." Robin says as she gets the first VHS out of the box, but Theo stops her.

"Guys..." They both turn and sees him frowning, "Look." He points at the TV that was showing a news report. "Isn't that where Max lives?"

"We're in the Forest Hills trailer park in east Roane County. We don't have a lot of details now, but we can confirm that the body of a Hawkins High student was discovered early this morning. Police have not released the name..."

"Holy shit."

"...although we are told they're currently in the process of notifying the family."

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Taxi!" Amelia holds up a hand, summoning a taxi. Will, Mike, and Eleven went off with Johanthan and Argyle to get breakfast burritos and onward to the skating rink. Amelia wanted to talk to Joyce as soon as possible.
She walks towards a taxi and reaches for the handle, but a hand snatch out and grabs it. She looks up and sees...
"Murray?!"
"Amelia!" He exclaims.
"What are you doing here?" She frowns.
Murray grabs her bag and carries her and his to the trunk, "You said you were coming to see Joyce. I had to get on the first plane here. Whatever you plan with her, I want to make sure neither of you get yourselves into trouble." He grunts and shuts the trunk. "I owe Jim that." He sighs and moves to help into the car, "Let me." He says as he gently helps her to sit and moves around to get in.
"Where to?"
"4819 Lonzo Way, please." Amelia says and moves to get comfy.
"Let's go. This is life or death. Snap, snap!" Murray urges the driver.
"Yes, sir." The driver grins as he sets his meter, increasing the price since Murray says it was urgent.
Amelia sighs and rubs her forehead, "You're paying." She glares at him.
Knock! Knock! Knock!
It wasn't long till they both arrived at Joyce's. Murray grabbed the bags and followed Amelia towards the door, knocking over and over.
Finally, the door opens, and Joyce looks at them both in shock, "Amelia! Murray?" She smiles at Amelia, but frowns at Murray.
"You told me you saw him die." Amelia holds a finger up, demanding answers as her voice cracks.
Joyce stammers in confusion and looks at Murray for answers.
"We need to talk, Joyce."
Joyce held the letter with shaking hands, sniffling as tears form in her eyes. Murray takes the letter and begins to read it.
"'Hop is alive. He looks ford to date. Pleeze to make resarvazion, call seven-four-one-five-two,' blah, blah. 'Open 12 day P.E.T.T. No government, please. Kind regards, Enzo'." He mutters and sighs, "I like it even less in person." He scoffs.
Amelia and Joyce both frown at him, "What do you mean, 'Like it less'?" Amelia scoffs at him.
"I don't trust it. For starters, who the hell sent this?"
Amelia shrugs and Joyce stutters, "A friend?" Joyce suggests.
"A friend?"
"Of Hop's?" Joyce shrugs.
"'Hop is alive. No government'? This looks and reads like a ransom note, and a bad one at that. There's no proof of life here." Murray states as he points out the downside of this situation.
"Yes, there is." Amelia speaks up. "Two signs of proof. One: It's signed Enzo."
"So?" Murray shrugs.
"So? There's only two people who knew about our date at Enzo's." Amelia says.
"And that's me and Hop." Joyce states. "So, whoever wrote this, Hop trusted enough to make him sign it Enzo."
Amelia shudders, "He's sending me a message."
"You saw him die, Joyce. That's what you said." Murray states.
Joyce swallows hard at the memories, "I didn't see a body." She says.
"Because he evaporated." Murray points out.
"He didn't. He survived." Amelia states.
"And how do you know?"
"Did you see him? A vision or...?" Joyce asks with hope.
Amelia sighs heavily and holds her hands out, "Join hands."
Joyce grabs her hand and holds hers out for Murray, but Murry snaps to his feet, protesting, "Oh, no! No, no, no! I'm not getting involved with that voodoo-hoodoo shit again."
"You want proof, I have proof. This is the only way for me to show you. It's not gonna hurt. It'll just be like a flash." Amelia says. "Trust me."
Murray sighs and looks over to Joyce, who urges him to take their hands. He groans and sits down, "I swear...one little headache..." He warns.
Joyce and Amelia grab his hands and Amelia sighs as she sends the vision of Jim in their minds. Murray grunts as the vision invades his vision. He could feel the icy, cold air of Russia. He gasps and jerks his hands out of their grip.
"Holy shit! What a rush!" He exclaims.
Joyce gasps softly, "He's alive."
"And trapped." Amelia rubs her belly, feeling her children move around.
"Okay. Okay. He's Houdini. He's a cat man with nine lives. Whatever it is, he survived. What's he doing in Russia?" Murray asks.
"He was captured, that's what. And remember what Alexei said. They were opening or trying to open a gate in Russia. When blowing up the machine in Starcourt, there had to be a big explosion. So big, he would have been thrown through the gate." Amelia points out. "So, what if they managed to open a gate in Russia as well as they did in Hawkins?"
"Then he probably met some new friends. And by friends, I mean the KGB. And believe me when I tell you, these people are the worst of the worst. I am talking torture. And no matter how strong you think Jim is, they will break him. They will get his whole life story. And yes, that might very well include a planned date at Enzo's with you, his co-conspirator, making this all an elaborate ruse to capture you as well." Murarry states.
Amelia holds a shaking hand against her lips, tears form in her eyes as she thinks about how bad Jim looked. Who knows what they did to him.
"You just made all that up." Joyce scoffs.
Murray sighs and shrugs, "It's a theory." He scoffs.
"And it's not crazy." Amelia's voice shakes, tears begin to fall down her cheeks, "You saw him.  They did something to him."
"Well, either way, this is real. Hopper is alive." Joyce states.
"But is he still alive? That's the question." Amelia sniffles, wiping away her tears.
"I suppose there's only one way to find out." Murray says and gets up to grab the letter and heads towards the phone.
"What are you doing?" Joyce frowns as she and Amelia watches him begin to set everything up.
"We're gonna call that number and you're going to find out who the hell sent you that letter. But we're doing it my way." He states.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

"Murder in Hawkins."

Theo hops on the counter with a dramatic look, rubbing his chin, "A murder.  A murder most foul.  Who could it be?" He arches his brow.

"Murder is no laughing matter, Theo." Robin says as she and Steve were going through videos, making separate piles.

"I never said it was.  Sure, I feel bad for the human.  And I'm curious to know who was murdered.  But I love a good mystery.  And I love a good hunt." Theo smirks.

"Woah, woah, hunt?"

"I'm a demon, Hair-boy.  We thrive on murderers.  Whoever killed this teenager..." Theo inhales deeply and loudly, making Steve and Robin look at him weirdly, along with customers who were near.  "Ahhhhh, the murderer did it....with passion.  No one single shred of regret.  I can smell it from here.  When he...or she killed...it was enjoyable." He says as he holds up a finger, "Which will make my hunt a thrill for me." He smirks.

Suddenly, Max and Dustin rush inside the building, both carrying intense auras as if they just discovered something that was heavy to deal with.

"Hey, Steve."

"You see this?" Steve points at the news that has been going on all day about the murder in Hawkins.

"How many phones do you have?" Dustin asks.

"Someone was murdered."

"How many phones do you have?" Dustin demanded for him to answer.

"We got two. Why?" Theo says, frowning at how they were acting.

"Yeah, we got two, well, technically three, if you count Keith's." Robin says as she walks up to them.

"Yeah, three works." Dustin nods as he and Max climb over the counter, making Robin and Steve exclaim in shock.

"What are you doing?" "What are you ..." "My pile!" " No, no, no! My tapes!" "Dude."  They both exclaim.

"What are you doing, man?" Theo asks as he sits next to Dustin as he gets on their computer.

"Setting up base of operations here." Dustin states.

"Base of operations?" Theo asks.

"Get off." Steve demanded but Dustin waves him off.

"I need it."

"For what?" Steve scoffs and moves to help Robin pick up all the tapes Dustin knocked over.

"Eddie's friends' phone numbers." Dustin states.

"Your new best friend you think is cooler because he plays your nerdy game?" Steve snorts.

Dustin dramatically rolls his eyes, including his head and looks at Steve, "Yes. I never said that."

"Seriously, you guys, maybe on a Monday you can play around, but it's Saturday. It's our busiest day." Robin states, not in the mood for whatever they're doing or need.

"Robin, I empathize, but this cannot wait." Dustin begins to write down the numbers.

Robin and Steve both sigh, rolling their eyes as they clean up while Theo sits next to Dustin, interested in what was going on.

"Oh my God. Calling Eddie's friends is an emergency?" Robin exclaims in disbelief.

"Correct!" Dustin exclaims.

"Want me to strangle him or you want to?" Steve asks.

"We could take turns. Or let Theo have the honor." Robin snickers with Steve.

Theo holds a finger up, "I am actually curious about this."

Dustin sighs exasperatedly and turns to Max, "Can you fill them in while I do this?"

"Fill us in on what?" Robin demanded.

Max sighs, rolling her eyes that she had to explain this once again, "I know who was murdered last night." Robin, Steve, and Theo lean in to listen as Max continues, hesitating. "Chrissy Cunningham."

Steve and Robin both stutter in shock, "Chrissy Cunningham?!" They both exclaim.

"What was Chrissy doing in Forrest Hills Trailer park?" Steve frowns.

"Seeing Eddie." Max says.

"Eddie Munson?  Chrissy the cheerleader with Eddie the Freak?" Robin scoffs.

"It's what I saw." Max states.

"Tell them what you saw after." Dustin says over his shoulder.

Max sighs, rolling her eyes, "It still could be just a coincidence." She says.

"Coincidence doesn't exist.  Spill it, Zoomer." Theo states.

Max begins to pace, "Okay, after I saw Chrissy go into Eddie's trailer, the lights begin to go crazy.  I mean like what we saw when..." She trails off.  Meaning when the Mind Flayer was around.  "Then after it stopped, Eddie ran out of the trailer...scared to death."

Theo frowns as he looks at Robin and Steve, "That's impossible." Steve says.

"Like I said, it could be coincidence." Max says.  "But...something happened in that trailer."

"And Eddie is the only one who can tell us.  Which is why it's an emergency to find him before the cops do." Dustin says.

Theo grabs the board from Dustin, ignoring his protests and begins to rip the sheet, "I'll start at the top.  Robin, you got second verse, Hair-boy, you got third.  Dustin and Zoomer, you got last." He says and rushes to the phone and begins to dial the first number.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Amelia paces the floor as Murray was clacking on the computer that he had set up in the dinning room with the phone near. She was growing impatient and wanted answers as soon as possible.
"Murray, we gotta make this call." Amelia sighs and rubs her back.
"One moment, please." Murray states and continues to work.
Joyce helps her sit down next to her, "Come on, this stress isn't good for you."
"I just want Jim back. Home safe and sound with me and the kids." Amelia sighs out and plays with her ring, the engagement ring that Jim gave her. "And get married like we want." She smiles, thinking about how her wedding will be.
Joyce gives her a soft smile, "You better make me your maid of honor." She smirks.
Amelia giggles, "Who else would be?" She snorts.
"Quiet please!" Murray grits his teeth.
Joyce and Amelia roll their eyes and tried to be quiet.
"Voilà. Okay, you are now calling from Durham, North Carolina. But if this is KGB, they will still be able to trace us eventually, so keep it brief." Murray states as he manages to hide themselves.
"How brief?" Amelia asks.
"A minute, max, and..." Murray shrugs and holds up a finger to remind her.
"Proof of life. Got it. Okay." Amelia sighs deeply and begins to dial the number as Murray and Joyce get ready to record the phone conversation.
"One, two..." The three of them count and begin to hear the phone ringing.
Amelia sighs and waits for someone to pickup. She rubs her bottom lip, praying to the Goddess that Jim is okay and alive still for her. She prays for his protection.   She was beginning to lose hope, thinking maybe they were too late, but soon, they hear a click.
"This is Enzo."  A man with a thick Russian accent answers.
Amelia shudders and leans in to speak, "Hello, Enzo? This is Amelia. I received your message, and I would like to make a reservation." She says.
"Yes, good, good. But for reservation, you need to make deposit."
Amelia frowns, "What kind of deposit?" She asks.
"Forty thousand dollars. You have it in Hopper's trust, for the girl, yes?" Enzo states.
Murray and Joyce looked at her in shock but Amelia remembers that trust Jim had for Eleven.  In fact, it was her idea to set it up when they first found Eleven in the woods.
"Uh, yes. Yes. Forty thousand." Amelia nods, remembering the college fund that Jim and her saved up for Eleven.
"Good. Bring to Yuri's Fish n' Fly in Nome, Alaska."
"Wait, you want me to go to Alaska?" Amelia asks, making sure she got that right.
"Yes. You give Yuri money, Yuri gets me money, I give him your boyfriend. Simple trade, understand?"
Amelia frowns, and looks over towards Murray as he reminds her very silently about proof of life, "First, we... we're gonna have to speak to Jim. To Hopper. We need to know he's alive." She demands as her whole body was shaking. She wanted to hear Jim's voice so badly.
Suddenly, they hear an angry woman furiously speaking to Enzo in Russian.
"I'm afraid not possible."
"Why not?" Amelia's frown deepens.
"Your boyfriend is, uh, stuck. But you give me money, I make him unstuck. You must trust me."
Amelia snorts, "And how in the hell am I suppose to trust you? I don't even know who you are." She grits her teeth.
Joyce silently gives her a look to tell her to calm down and listen. Amelia sighs heavily and hears the woman in the background continuing to yell at Enzo.
"You have fire. Like Hopper says." Amelia could feel his grin. "'Ab iniuria amorem meum protege et per viam eius dirige eum.'"
Amelia gasps softly as tears fall down her cheeks, she covers her mouth as she muffles her sob.
"Forty thousand. Yuri's Fish n' Fly. Two days. Do not call again." Enzo states and slams the phone down, making her jump.
Sobbing softly, Amelia buries her face in her hands.  Joyce rubs her back, shushing her gently
Suddenly, the computer screen buzzes and changes from North Carolina to California.  Murray frowns at Amelia as he shuts the tape player off.
"What did he say to upset you?"
Trying to calm herself, Amelia sniffles and cries once more before swallowing her tears to speak, "'Ab iniuria amorem meum protege et per viam eius dirige eum.' That's from his watch that I gave him for Christmas two years ago." She sobs.  "Only Jim knew that."
"Was he wearing a watch that night?" Murray asks.
"Uh, I don't know." Joyce stutters.
"No." Amelia tries to calm still but she couldn't stop crying.  "No, it...it's still at home.  He lost it, but...I...I found it and kept it safe."
"What does those words mean?" Joyce asks.
"It's Latin." Amelia breathes deeply and sniffles, letting out a small cry.  "'Protect my love from harm and direct him in his way.'" Amelia whimpers and wipes her tears away but more continues to spill.
Murray sighs and looks and Joyce, "Well, that wasn't the KGB." Joyce says.
"But it wasn't a friend either." Murray states.
"So we're both wrong." Joyce sighs out.
"Who the hell was that then?" Amelia sighs deeply and sniffles.
"Let's finds out." Joyce says and rewinds the tape player, together, they begin to listen carefully.
"Your boyfriend is, uh, stuck. But you get me money, I make him unstuck. You must trust me." Enzo's voice plays over the tape.
"Amelia, whoever Enzo is, the answer is not on that tape." Murray sighs.
"Wait, wait." Amelia frowns as she strains to hear the woman in the background.  "You don't hear that? In the background?"
"Yeah, sounds like a woman." Joyce nods as she strains to hear.
Murray shrugs, "So he's outside. Someone's talking. Not surprising." He scoffs.
"She could be talking to Enzo." Amelia states.
Murray frowns, it was possible.  "Play it again." He says.
Joyce rewinds it for him, "Can you translate that?" She asks.
Murray strains to listen but he couldn't, "Uh, I...I can't understand it. It's too low."
Joyce suddenly had an idea.  She grabs the tape and rushes to Johnathan's room.
"Hey!" Murray frowns and paces to follow with Amelia.
Joyce grabs Johnathan's headphones and place them over Murray's ears and clicks the stereo on.  Murray grips on to the headphones and listens as best as he could.
"Turn it up."
Joyce turns the knob and the woman's voice grows, "She...She wants to use the phone. She's mad at Enzo. Calls him a 'moosor'."
Amelia and Joyce frown at each other, "'Moosor'." "'Moosor'." They both exclaim.
"It's slang."
"For what?"
"Literally, 'moosor' translates to trash or garbage. Like 'pig' here, often directed at cops."
Amelia perks up with Joyce, "Cops?" Joyce asks.
"How about guards?" Amelia asks as a feeling begins to build in her chest.
Murray yanks off the headphones, "Definitely guards as well."
"Hopper's stuck." Joyce says as she reminds them both what Enzo said.
"And Enzo can get him unstuck." Murray adds.
Amelia sighs in disbelief, "Enzo's a prison guard!" She exclaims.
"Maybe Hopper bribed him." Joyce suggests.
"Sounds like Jim, doesn't it?" Murray grins.
Amelia moves quickly, grabbing her purse from the living room.
"Woah, woah, where are you going, Amelia?" Murray frowns as he and Joyce follow her.
"To the nearest bank, I'm getting that damn money and we're brining Jim home." Amelia states.
"Woah, you can't go to Alaska in your condition." Murray protests.
Amelia turns swiftly, giving him a cold look that could freeze Hell, "Try and stop me.  Just try." She threatens.
Joyce rushes to follow Amelia as she turns and heads outside.  Murray gulps, he was afraid of her before, but now...a pregnant and angry as hell witch, he was terrified.
"Okay." He mutters and follows them both as he shuts the door behind them.
