A week later

In spite of acquiring atmost of opposition from her family, annika being very stubborn in her decision, got transfer from Delhi to Mumbai and shifted.On the other side shivaay who came to know about this ,immediately left to Mumbai (shivaay's family is in Mumbai)but he has neither found her residence nor the place she is working in .But still he was determined to find her somehow and win her love back.

Life care hospital (where annika works)

A-(in call)haa baiya ,everything is fine here .Don't worry about me,papa kaisi hai?

Ar-he's feeling better now annika.What about your hostel,and food...kahan kaa rahi ho tum?

A-baiya plss ,don't worry I'll manage.I'm totally fine here.

Ar- whatever annika,your being very stubborn you know.

A-I know baiya...I need to be alone for sometime.

Ar-I understand annika,and don't forget to have your medicines on time.

A-ji, baiya what about papa's case in court?

Ar- the case is moving favourable to us annika. I'm sure everything is going to be alright soon.

A- teek hai baiya,I'll call you later bye.

Ar-take care annika,bye.

When she hung up the call ,she found the nurse already waiting for her.

N-Dr,The patient Mrs.Pinky is waiting for you.

A- yeah,let her in.

Pinky came inside and annika asked her to sit.

P- ek minute Dr,I just call my son ...he's always tied up with his phone,(looking towards the door)shivaay(stretching)

Listening the name ,her nerves caught up her eyes ,and she feared to look up but somehow she gained strength and fixed her eyes at the doorway fearing her thoughts to be true .And yes,it was shivaay making his way inside the room keeping his mobile inside his pocket he took his seat beside pinky.When his sight fell on her,his eyes were glued up with her's which were looking at her with shock,anger ,hurt anything and everything he could ever think of.

Meeting the other after a whole week was like a dream for both ,she couldn't deny that she actually missed him which was clearly visible through her unshed tears while he was extremely thankful to God for bringing her back to him.Her eyes slowly travelled from his hair to his forehead where he had a plaster which reminded her about the dreadful day of her life and further she looked at his eyes which seemed to be completely examining her the same way which she's been following till this moment.He had a contented smile blooming on his face ,which was very subtle to find.But soon annika came out from her trance.

A- what happened?(to pinky)Kya huwa aapko?

P-Ask him Dr(pointing him),I'm totally fine ,but still I don't know why he brought me here. Shivaay bolna usse

Annika's eyes were alternatively swinging from him to nothing specifically.

S- uhh,actually we've come here for a normal check up.Nothing serious (he was still looking at her like there was no other thing in that room)

A-fine,aunty plss come here.

Pinky sat on the chair beside annika ,and annika was carrying out her work with the stethoscope.While the man in front of her ,just sat quite adoring his wife after a week of 7 days.Her drowsy eyes with dark circles ,spoke out her state .Even her nails which would show up with different colours each day were left unpainted through which he came to know that she has changed..Feeling his gaze on her she looked him to receive a dreamy smile from him ,which she immediately ignored.He then looked at the name board which had an impression naming Ms.Annika Raichand MD(cardiologist),which he didn't like at all .After all which happened a week before ,still she was his wife which can never be changed .

A- Excuse me (hitting the table to bring him out of his thoughts )

S- yeah ,yes.

A-(writing something)I prefer to view these scan reports first so kindly take it today itself(she clicked the bell to call the nurse)Here's the list, I want the result along with the reports as soon as possible.

N- ok Dr.And one more thing Dr,the appointment you asked for the sonography with the gynecologist has been confirmed for today  at 4 PM.You have to go to the 3rd floor in 2nd block.

A-ok.(she whispered and the nurse went)

Listening everything shivaay was thrilled up as annika was ahead of looking at their first sonography of their baby,but the next second his face gloomed as he felt reality that she would never let him accompany her.

P- congratulations Dr...(looking at the name board)annika.

A-thank you aunty.

P- is it your first sonography?

A- ji aunty.

P- ohh ,you and your husband must be excited.

Immediately shivika looked at each other and they both shared an emotional eyelock.

A- nahi aunty,ham dono sath nahi hai.(still looking at him)

P- I'm sorry.

A-It's ok aunty ,aap nurse ke sath jaahiye.

Then the nurse took pinky with her while shivaay insisted to accompany them,the nurse asked him to wait outside the Dr's cabin till they return.But shivaay had some other thoughts ,he pulled out the chair and sat right in front of her .

S- ani...aaj baby ka pehle so(cut by her)

A- tum bahar bhi wait kar sakthe ho(not looking at him)

S-(realizing that she doesn't want to talk with him)mein andar bhi wait kar saktha hoon na.(smiling)

A-no I've some work.

S- plss continue ,I won't disturb you.

Being frustrated she continued her work ,not looking at him.But suddenly she felt uneasy and dropped her pen and crushed her coat to get some relief. Noticing her state he got up and moved to her within no time.

S- Ani...kya huwa,(holding her shoulders)you're fine right?(he asked being extremely scared)

Not answering him she jolted his hands away and rushed inside the washroom and started puking.Shivaay who followed her was shocked seeing her state,it took no second for him to reach her.He pulled her loose hair behind and wrapped his fists tightly closing her forehead. After emptying her stomach she had no strength in her ,she automatically leaned on his chest putting her weight on him with her head rested on his shoulder.He caught hold of her protectively and wiped her face with water ,after which he tried to lift her but the next second coming to reality she pushed him away and tried to walk to get stumbled.But even shivaay being a stubborn man ,didn't think of anything and he just carried and brought her and made her sit on the small single longue round the corner.She just sat back supporting her head on the wall.

S- ani ...ani(kneeling down).I'll just call the doctor (getting up)

But instantly she pulled his hands so that he sits back again.

A- Dr,kyun?ohh you don't know right?(smiling with a smirk)Pregnancy mein ...na ye sab hota hai,all these days I've managed these things myself ...mere saath koi nahi tha (stressing the word while he already had a guilt covered facade).So aage bhi ,muje kissi ke zaroorat(leaving his hand)nahi hai.

S- ani...

A- don't call me that.(glaring him)

Then she took a glass of water ,and when she was about to take a sip of it he caught her hand.

S- ani ,you should drink warm water after vomiting. Have this (giving her another glass)

A- why should I listen to you?

S- ani ,plss don't argue in this. Atleast for our baby.(pleading look)

She picked the glass from him and drank it.By the time,the nurse came with pinky.

N-Dr,all the tests have been taken and the reports will be ready in two days.

A-ok fine.Aunty after two days ,do meet me with the reports.

P- ok ,thank you.Shivaay chalen?

Shivaay was still looking at annika being worried ,while she didn't give a damn to him rather moved from there as it was time for her rounds. He was more worried than being hurt so before going home he ordered her favourite food with a chocolate shake in the canteen and asked them to place it on her table when she returns from her rounds.

Annika who found the plate on the table when she returned, didn't doubt it as routinely she used to get food from the canteen.

Before getting inside the car shivaay stopped and hugged pinky tightly confusing her .

P- kya huwa shivaay?

S- I'm happy mom ,I'm very happy today.(crushing her )

At home

Shivaay was lost in his thoughts,when he received a call.And the person mentioned about his work at evening but before he could complete shivaay stopped him in middle and negotiated that he would not come anywhere today as he had his obvious reasons for his denial. Hanging the call he had a cheerfully excited smile on face .

4 PM in hospital

Dr- Dr.Annika,you have to drink plenty of water before taking this scan.

A-ok Dr.

She came out and took her bag to find her bottle to be full ,which actually confused her as just now she noticed it to be leastly filled before meeting the doctor.But she shrugged it off ,and emptied the bottle and waited outside.While the man behind all this was secretly watching her from distance . He could never miss this moment with her as they are going to see their tiny life for the first time.Whatever may happen between them,but still the love he had for her would never fade.
After sometime Annika went inside the lab,she laid back on the bed .

The doctor was busy in her work with the system while annika was very nervous as it was her first time .

Dr- don't worry Annika,it's very simple.

Annika just nodded with closed eyes,still clutching the bedsheets.

But suddenly there was a knock ,and it was none other than shivaay .The doctor was confused at first looking at him but soon she was relieved when he told that he was her husband.(annika was present on the other side behind the curtains so she didn't know this and on top of that she still remained closing her eyes)

Shivaay slowly came and sat beside her,without speaking anything he slowly held her hands.Feeling his touch she immediately freed her fist from the sheets,but she didn't open her eyes as she knew if she saw him there she will throw him outside and she herself didn't want it atleast for the time being.

The doctor proceeded as she applied the gel and traced the fetal doppler on her stomach.Shivaay could see his love getting nervous, he bent down to her and gently kissed her knuckles and whispered "don't worry ani,we are going to meet our baby soon ".

Dr- and ...yes Mr and Mrs .Oberoi,have a look your baby is here.

Immediately annika opened her eyes,and looked at the monitor to find a little life beating inside.Suddenly annika felt droplets hitting her cheecks, she shifted her eyes to him to find him looking at the monitor with tears flowing from his eyes.

S-ani ...hamari baby.(whispering below his voice)

As the doctor explained the baby's features from the monitor shivika just adored the meaning of their life.And gradually shivaay kissed her forehead numerous times and she even let him do do so as she was in need of it after all she has gone through.

......

Outside the room

A-tum jao.

S- ani...mein

A- I said go.(not meeting his eyes)

S-ok ani ,I understand you don't want me here ok .But just tell me one thing why did you allow me inside.Why you kept quite?

A- frankly bolun?I'm not able to hate you ...not able to ... forget you (he smiled )don't smile (daring voice)listen to me first,it's true that I'm not able to hate you but I'm sure that I won't let you enter my life again.

S- it's ok ani,whatever it is.You are right from your point,I've hurted you and your anger is justified...but I can never leave you ani.You are my love and I'm sure that one day we would be together as before...with our baby.

A- shut up,just shut up baby.(she shouted angrily)

He smiled at her when she called him as baby.Being irritated she just rushed into the washroom not paying any heed to him.

Dr- Mr.Oberoi,scan pictures are ready.(giving it to him)

S- thank you .

He was about to open it when annika came there and he immediately hid it behind him.Suspecting him she went inside and asked for the pictures but the Dr told that she had already given it to shivaay.

A- shivaay what's this ?Give it to me.(trying to pick it from him but he kept on moving)

S- ani,you have our baby here(pointing her stomach)atleast you can feel our baby everytime but what will I do.Plss let me have this ...plss

A- your just...leave it.

She went inside and asked them for another set of prints and got it from them.

A- look even I got it.

S-you are so cute ani.(smiling)

Being fed up with him she just went from there.
