Kiss
We went to their house. Tiffany's family was really rich with their mansion. I almost didn't want to move in there because I might break a thing and my life wasn't enough to pay for it. Not to mention how many their maids and butlers were there.
Tiffany introduced me to her mom, I was afraid at first but her mom seemed very nice. They were down to earth and not pompous even if they had rights to. I mean they were influential and they must be really important so I thought, they had those privileges to act such manners like bumptious.
But no, they were kind. No wonder why Tiffany was like that. She inherited those good qualities and proper etiquette from her parents.
Mrs. Hwang prepared us pasta with meat sauce. Even if they had a cook, she prepared it for me because she was thankful that I saved Tiffany from the kidnapper. The pasta was delectable and it tasted so good. It was flavorful, I really liked it.
We were almost done eating when I spoke "Thank you so much for this Mrs. Hwang. It's really delicious," I commented.
Mrs. Hwang smiled sweetly "I'm glad you like it. If you like, I will pack some of this so you can take it home," she suggested.
I shyly nodded "Yes please, thank you Mrs. Hwang."
"Don't mention it and you can call me auntie. Mrs. Hwang is kinda formal. Besides, your Tiffany's friend." She said glancing at Tiffany.
Tiffany smiled and continued to eat. Oh yeah, she could eat on her own without a single mess. She was careful and she was used to it.
I nodded "Okay auntie."
"You're so cute," Mrs. Hwang giggled.
I blushed and bowed my head.
"Mom... can we be excused and go to my room?" Tiffany asked politely.
Her mom nodded and smiled "Well of course, you need quality time together."
Tiffany smiled "Thank you mom."
Then we went to her room, everything there had a shade of pink.
I guess she likes pink. I thought. But she couldn't see the color of it.
Tiffany sat on her bed "What do you think about my room?"
I looked around and everything was in order. It was spacious and just simple.
"Almost all things here are pink," I commented.
She nodded "Of course, it's my favorite color. Come, sit here."
I walked to her and sat next to her "Really? You like pink?"
She smiled "Yes. Almost all shades of pink. So girly right?" She giggled.
I chuckled "Yeah."
"I wasn't blind before," she suddenly opened up. "So I know how it looks like. I got an accident and it affected my eyes so badly that I became like this." She sadly stated.
"Oh... I'm sorry to hear that." I stared at her. She was really beautiful. Geez. I couldn't stop myself. It was enthralling.
Tiffany shook her head "It's okay. The good thing was I'm still alive and kicking," she joked.
I smiled. She was being positive even if that happened.
"And I'm just waiting for my donor, there's still a chance for me to see the beauty of the world," she added.
"Really? That's good."
Tiffany turned to me "Yes and I will finally see my Hero."
I blushed hard.
"Are you staring at me?" One side of her lips turned up.
"Huh?" Suddenly I became nervous. How would she know that?
"I can feel you stare, my Hero Tae," she smiled.
I massaged the back of my neck, she caught me there.
Out of the blue, she leaned forward to me and kissed me. My eyes widened when her lips touched mine as my heart was beating erratically.
Tiffany quickly pulled back and bit her lower lip. She didn't expect that either. Maybe she will just kiss my cheek not my lips.
Silence filled the room.
Awkward.
Tiffany was my first kiss. Her lips were so soft and I liked her smell. She also tasted like strawberry.
I pursed my lips together, there was an urge to kiss her again but I had to control it. Apparently, it was just an accident.
"That kiss was a reward for you," she stuttered as she bowed her head. It was kinda cute though.
"You didn't expect it on lips right?" I asked.
She nodded. I knew it, it was a bit sad.
"I'm sorry," I apologetically said.
Tiffany shook her head "No. Don't apologize, it's not your fault. It's me, I'm sorry."
"It's okay..."I smiled.
"By the way Tae, I hope that we're friends now." Tiffany held my arm.
I nodded "Of course, we're friends now." I confirmed.
Tiffany beamed wildly "Thank you so please, always talk to me at school. I will always wait you to approach me."
I frowned. At school? But everyone would notice it. I didn't like too much attention.
Nah. I don't care about them. It's Tiffany that matters. I thought.
"Is there a problem my hero?"
"No, no problem.... okay... I will always approach you..." I assured her.
"Great! Let's take a picture together." Tiffany moved to her bed and reached her nightstand. At the second drawer, she took an old Polaroid camera. Then she scooted back to me. "My grandpa gave this to me."
"It's cool..."
Tiffany nodded as she opened it "Yep, let's take a picture."
Tiffany leaned to me and we held a pose for a moment. She clicked the camera and the flash was on.
And it was done.
We were waiting for the picture to come out but it didn't.
She sighed "It didn't come out. I will ask my dad to check this later." She was referring to the Polaroid camera.
"Okay... sure."
"Thank you Tae. I will always be thankful that you helped me," she genuinely said.
"You're welcome Tiffany, I'm glad that I helped you and we became friends. Thank you for coming into my life," I sincerely said.
Tiffany abruptly wrapped her arms around me. I was stunned but became comfortable after few seconds. Her body was warm and it soothed me.
"You won't get rid of me Tae... I will stay in your life forever."
I smiled "I would love to."
Since then, our friendship became strong and our trust was built solid.
It was a good start, indeed.
