Whether you are currently involved in the Wattys this year or not, it is good to get a good perspective on what could catch a judge's eye and a readers eye.

So we've all heard the infamous quote "don't judge a book by its cover" which is all and all true. A judge isn't going to judge your book by the cover, they are going to judge your story. A good story will get you very far but a cover is going to help influence the story.

So I've made a few samples that I'm going to show you to prove my theory. All you guys need to do is comment under the image you think would be likely to catch your eye if you were just browsing through stories without knowing what they were about.
