One day Parvati wished for a child.
A child to carry out her commands.
So she went to bathe
And smeared pastes on her hands.
On her arms, there was haldi
Which was yellow like the sun
Then she smeared the sandlewood
Also known as chandan.

Soon she rubbed it off,
And moulded a little boy.
Breathed life into him.
And then he leapt for joy.

She says

Listen, you are my son,
And I am your mother
I wish to take Snaan.
So don't let in any other.

Listen my son,
I love you more than ever
Here's a divya staff.
And give entry never.

He says

But Matashree.
Now I know my game,
But one I wish to ask,
Say, what is my name?

She says

You will become great,
Everyone's Jagat Rakshaka
Remover of obstacles.
I name you Vinayaka.

So Vinayak went on determined.
To not give anyone a chance.
To cunningly pass him
And go through the entrance.
He doesn't want to give up.
Never, not right now.
Maa aagya ka paalan
He won't beak his mother's vow.
Vinayak was ever willing
To serve his Janm daatrini
He has unparalleled love
For his mata Parvati.

But someone arrived.
And who did he see!
Mahadev Maha Vahaan.
The mighty Nandi.
Nandi wanted to enter
Also the group of Shiv Gan
But they're no match!
For Parvati's divine son.

Vinayak had fought them,
And they frightfully ran away.
Then came the mightily of mightily.
Shiva Mahadev.

Shiva also wanted to meet Gauri.
He demanded in!
But because of Vinayak's baal.
GauriPutra will not let him win!

Shiv Vinayak argued.
Not knowing their identity.
Then the Devtas arrived.
With celestial soldiers of plenty.

There were Brahma, Vishnu.
Indra, Agni, Varun.
Brihaspati
Even Kuber and Vayu.
The Devgans were there,
To make their task completed.
But due to Vinayak's strength.
All were defeated.

Narayan threw his chakra,
And even swung his mace
But Vinayak pushed him back.
Then there was surprise on Vishnu's face.

Brahmadev tried to tell him,
It is not ok to fight.
At this age he must learn.
What is wrong from right.

Vinayaka ignored.
This is not what he wants to hear.
Then soon after.
Lord Shiva reappeared.
Mahadev was angry!
Anushasan is not cool!
With one swing of his hand,
He threw his Trishul.

Vinayak's head was severed!
Parvati ran out and cried.
Who did this dusht.
Both their hearts were tied!

Vinayak only was,
Carrying out his mother's commands,
Now Parvati holds his body
In her trembling hands.

The Gods were all astonished,
That he's Parvati's son
What is this they commit?
What have they done.

Parvati took her Kali form.
From no one can be saved!
"If you let my son live, I will stop."
She said to Mahadev.

Mahadev went to Vishnu,
For assistance he sought.
[He says]
Get the head of the first animal you see,
When you travel north.

Now Shree Vishnu went,
And did what Shiva said.
He swung his chakra once more.
And brought the elephant's head.

They fused it on Vinayak
And gave him a trait, quite Vishesh!
For conquering the Ganas,
Shiv called him Ganesh.

He is Pratham pujya. Remover of obstacles.
He makes our way easy.
This is how Ganesh.
Become the elephant faced deity.
