CHAPTER SEVENTY-FIVE: A NEW UNIVERSE

Everything you had being experienced was flashing like a movie in your mind.

Everything you and Five had being experienced together was flashing like a movie in your mind.

Your whole life then flashing before your eyes until you saw a bright white light of the end of a tunnel.

You then found yourself standing by a bridge that was over a stream.

You looked around, the sun was setting and you was standing on a grass field.

"Five?" you looked around.

Then you saw your dad "There you are, everyone is waiting for you" he said "Everyone?" you asked and he nodded "Yeah" he pointed on the other side of the bridge.

You then turned to see what look like an elevator "What happen if I go in there?" you pointed at the elevator "No idea. Why would you want that? You could be happy with all of us or something" he said.

"I wouldn't be with Five. I was promised Five, Kayla and Sam. I promised them I would be there" you said "Kayla and Sam might not be there but here instead" he said "Even if that is true. I still have Five. I can't leave him like this, he needs me, and I need him, beside I promised him, and I'm not breaking another promise" you said before you turned around and walked towards the elevator.

The sound of a bell was heard as an elevator door opened before the family stepped out of the elevator, notching that it was evening.

They looked around to see that they were in some kind of park as police sirens wailing and the sound of traffic was heard in the distant.

"Cool" Lila said with a laugh as they were all looking around.

Five walked over to a small statue that was standing in the middle of the park that was formed as Reginald's head.

Viktor turned around to see Luther walking out of the elevator "Luther?" Viktor asked in shock while smiling "Oh shit. You can see me?" Luther asked "Yes!" Viktor said "I'm alive? I'm alive" Luther said "Yes" Viktor said as he jumped into his arms and Luther hugged him as he lifted him up.

Five stared in shock to see his brother now alive before he looked around at the elevator, hoping that his wife would step out. 

"Luther's alive!" Klaus said as he clapped "Oh my God" Lila said as Luther put Viktor down and they pulled away. "Wait. That's not all, big guy" Viktor said as he noticed that he was no longer huge "Huh?" Luther asked confused until he looked down at himself to see that he was his normal size.

"Whoa! Oh shit! My body!" he said before he looked at his arms to see that they don't look like monkey arms anymore, instead they were normal "I look amazing" he said "Luther's all svelte now" Klaus said "Wait. I gotta show Sloane" Luther said. 

"This is so cool. W-Wait. Where's Sloane?" Luther asked as he was looking around "Oh, she was, uh...She was right behind me--" Klaus said "When Allison hit the button" Diego said "She's gone too. But...so is Y/n" Lila said as her and Five glanced at each other.

"You know, I don't know about you guys, but I have not felt this good in years" Klaus said as Five walked around the statue in the middle of the park, confused look on his face as he looked at the city that laid outside of the park.

"Does anyone know where the hell we are?" Ben asked "The hotel. Or at least this is where it used to be" Lila said "I think the old man did" Five said as he turned to his family "I think he reset the universe" he said before he looked away.

Diego took his glove off to see that he had gotten his fingers back "You got your fingers back" Lila said and she let out a laugh as she grabbed his hand before grazing her thumb against his fingers.

"Sloane? Sloane!" Luther called out as he was looking around, trying to spot her.

"Hey" Luther said as he walked over to Five "I don't care about any resets, all right? I want my wife back. Where is she, Five?" Luther asked as he grabbed Five's collar with his right hand. "You are not the only one that have lost their wife, I want my wife back too. I'm glad you're alive, but please take your hand off me, you're not the only one that doesn't have your other half next to you. Y/n's gone too, my wife is also gone. So take your hand off me" Five told him but Luther grabbed the other side of Five's blazer "Not until you give me an answer" he said.

"Okay, screw this" Five said before jolted his body to move forward in order to blink away, but nothing happen and Five's eyes widened before he looked around "Something's wrong" he said as he stared at his siblings.

"That's right. You're about to get your ass kicked" Luther said "Yeah, kick his ass" Diego said "No, you moron. My power. I can't blink" Five said as he looked at Luther.

"Yeah, right" Diego said as he pulled one of his knife out while Luther let go of Five.

Diego tried to spun the knife around his fingers, like he always do, but instead they watched it as it fell out of his hand before dropping to the ground, meaning that he didn't had his powers either "That's not good" he said.

This ain't no place for no hero.

Viktor lifted his hands and he tried to used his powers but nothing happen. Ben also tried to use his powers but nothing happen.

Klaus held his hand out in front of himself and you could see that the tattoos on the palm of his hands was gone.

"Okay...Come on. Alakazam...ghosties" Klaus said as he was twisting his hand around, trying to use his powers to conjure the dead, nothing happen "This means I'm mortal again? Aw man!" he said.

Five pulled up his sleeves as he had noticed that Klaus didn't had his tattoos anymore.

He looked at his left wrist to see that it was bare, meaning that his umbrella tattoo was gone too.

The worried took over and Five rolled his sleeves on his left arm up to his shoulder to check something.

He let out a sigh in relief when he saw that he still had your initial tattooed on his left shoulder.

"Wait, wait, wait. How do we get them back, you idiots?" Ben asked "Shit" Klaus said.

"I gotta...I gotta go find my wife" Luther said as he started walking away "No! Luther, you can't go. You were dead five minutes ago. You're fragile!" Klaus shouted after him before he turned to the others "I gotta go after him" he said before he followed after Luther "No. Wa--Klaus, wait" Diego said as Klaus walked after Luther.

"I'm out, bitches" Ben said to them before leaving.

"Come on. We should stick together and figure this out" Viktor said "What are we supposed to do?" Diego asked him and Lila looked up at Diego "Live our lives?" she said and Diego grabbed her hand before he lead her out of the park leaving Viktor and Five behind as the two glanced at each other.

Five stayed there. He felt empty, and he knew he should feel like that. He had just lost his wife, the mother to his dead children and a apocalyptic partner. You were gone. And it was his fault. He felt guilty.

The reality of his wife's absence settled heavily on his shoulde, and he felt an emptiness that transcended the loss of powers.

Five glanced at the elevator door one more time, waiting for them to open and reveal his wife, alive and well again.

But nothing happen, you were really gone but it was like his heart wouldn't accept it, even though you took your last breath in his arms and he was holding your dead body.

But since Luther came back, you should be back too, right?

'Why are you not here, Y/n/n? Why are you not here with us? With me? She's not permanently dead...is she? Five said inside his head.

No, you promised him that everything will be back to normal. So if Luther is alive, so are you. And also Five could feel that you were alive.

The pain was unbearable. Without you, Five felt empty, lost, endless nothingness. But he knew that he have to live, for the both of you, but also because of that promise you once made for each other back in the apocalypse, that if one of you died, the other would do your best to live for the both of you. 

But then Five felt something, so he looked down at his finger to see the black wedding ring and he also still have the bracelet and wrist watch, so that means you have to be alive.

"Hey" Viktor said which caused Five to look at him "Are you gonna be okay?" Viktor asked his brother.

Even so Five tried his best to hide it, Viktor could see it on his face that he was trying his best not to break down crying in front of him.

"I don't know, but I'll be fine, I think. I hope" Five's voice was quiet, he was not even sure that Viktor heard him.

"I'm sorry, Five" Viktor reached out to his brother again from a distance. Five turned to look at his brother, a shared history etched in the lines of both their faces.

"I'll be fine" Five replied, though the hollowness in his words betrayed his true emotions.

"Where are you gonna go?" Viktor asked "I don't know, I don't have any place to go back to or any place to go to since my real plan is gone, so I guess anywhere" Five said.

"Five, I'm so sorry about Y/n. I know---" "No" Five said, cutting Viktor off, his voice breaking a bit "Please don't tell me that you know what I'm going through" Five said, his voice breaking a bit "She's gone and it's my fault" he said almost breaking down again "I can still her voice in my head" Five said.

"I know what's like---" "No, you don't" Five said cutting Viktor off.

"You don't know what's like. Imagine having everything you always wanted. Something you thought you could never had. But just as you are about to enjoy it too much. It's all taking away from you in a blink of an eye" he said.

"Listen I lost someone I care about too" Viktor said "Where you there?" Five looked at him "Did you witness them die in front of you? The light in their eyes fading away. How their hand grow cold as the life left them? Did you held their dead body in your arms?" Five asked as he tried to hold back his tears while Viktor let out a sigh.

"I'm sorry Five, I'm sorry about everything" he said as he looked at his brother.

Five was flabbergasted. After everything that has happened, he watched his family choose to leave him. None of them asking if he wanted to come with them.

"So are you going to be okay?" Viktor asked "I will be fine. I'm going to find her. I'm going to find my wife" Five said "How do you even know she is alive?" Viktor asked "It's just something you can feel. If two people really love each other, you feel connected to each other. You can feel when that person is close and you can even feel if they are alive" Five said to Viktor "And I know she is alive and out there somewhere, I'm just going to find her. Beside she promised me and I promised her that I would never leave her, I broke that promise before, I'm not going to break it again" he said.

The sirens wailed in the background as the remaining family dispered, each grappling with their newfound mortality, Five couldn't help but feel a profound senes of isolation.

He linged the park, grapping with the magnitude of their altered existence. The Obsidian memorial park, once a sanctuary, now stood witness to the shattered remnants of a once mighty family.

At least Five didn't have to bury another body.

Still with the huge pain in his heart, Five turned around before walking his own way out of the park.

Viktor stared at the statue that was formed as Reginald's face "Asshole" he said before he walked away.

Five walked out of the park to look around the area. A single tears felled from his eyes. He felt like that his family didn't care about him at all when they just left him like that.

He took a deep breath before he looked up at the night sky to see one of the stars shining brighter than the others which cause him to smile.

"I'm going to find you my love. No matter where you are, no matter how long it take or how far you are, I'm going to find you, and I'm not giving up until I succeed, no matter what, I promise" he said.

Then he turned his head and looked up to one of the buildings that Sir Reginald Hargreeves owned.

He aimed a furious glare towards the building as he could sensed the presence of his evil adoptive father. Five silently cursed him in his head.

"Piece of shit. I'm gonna kill you. This is your fault" he whispered.

He then took a deep breath before continue to walk down the street.

In one of the tall buildings stood Reginald Hargreeves alive and well. He was looking out from the tall building's window, watching the city below. He was looking down at the city when his wife Abigail walked up to him, joining his side.

Reginald looked at his wife and he took her hand before they both looked down at the city, they now owned.

Five continue walking down the street, hoping to find you. He was going to find you no matter what, no matter how long he have to look or where he have to look, no matter what stood in his way, he was going to find you and he was not going to stop until he succeed.

He misses you like hell, you were always on his mind. He was thinking about you all the time, the warmth of your smile, the gentleness of your touch, and the way your laughter fills the room are all memories that make him ache for you, every day without you feel incomplete and his heart yearns for the day when you can be together again, until then. He will carry your love in his heart and he'll count the seconds until he can hold you close once more. He miss you so much and he cared about you and love you more than words can express.
