CHAPTER SIXTY-FIVE: RUINED THE MOMENT

Needed a break from the party, you and Five took a moment to yourselves outside. Five sat down with his back against the balcony wall while you sat beside him.

My mother said I'm too romantic
She said, "You're dancing in the movies"
I almost started to believe her
Then I saw you and I knew

"Why wasn't their a view like this in the apocalypse?" you asked "I don't think that is that bad. But it look a bit like the view we had in the apocalypse" he said "Yeah, only a little bit" you said before you took a deep breath.

Maybe it's 'cause I got a little bit older
Maybe it's all that I've been through
I'd like to think it's how you lean on my shoulder
And how I see myself with you

"Well, we did alright, for the end of the world" you said "Do you miss it?" he asked "Do I miss the apocalypse?" you asked and he nodded.

I don't say a word
But still, you take my breath and steal the things I know
There you go, saving me from out of the cold

"I miss the apocalypse. Not the survival parts, the close calls or the first years, but I miss our home and the random belongings we had collected and claimed as our own, and I miss the peace you and I had as the last two people alive. I miss those lovley times we had together, both in the apocalypse and in the Commission. And I miss our kids. Thinking about them and missing them every day" you said "So do I. Every day" he said with a sigh.

"What do you think our lives could look like if the apocalypse had never happened?" he asked "I would have living that life I was supposed to live. I think I would have spend the rest of my life in the Commission" you replied "What if you and I met somewhere else and you weren't part of the Commission? What if you and I met somewhere else?" he asked "I don't think I would have falling for you, since I hated you the first years we met" you said as you brushed his hair out of his face and frowned when the strands fell back in front of his eyes.

"Yeah, but if now fate wanted us together and you had falling for me and I had falling for you, what do you think would have happen?" he asked.

But then we love and feel the truth

You thought for a moment, unsure if you should say the first thing that came to your mind, but his soft smile that he gave you as he studied your face made you feel comfortable with sharing your thoughts "I don't know. Maybe we would have had a long, happy and healthy marriage without it breaking" you said and he let out a sigh "And we would have had kids at some point. Children that we didn't lose" you said as you leaned your head against his shoulder.

"It's not your fault that Sam and Kayla died" Five said "It is, Five---" "No it isn't" he said and you looked at him "And you can never think that" he said "Sam and Kayla could have being alive and lived a long life but since they were born of me, they were curse, destined to die like that, destined to die young" you said "No" Five shook his head.

"You are not curse. What happen to Sam, Kayla and our unborn child is not your fault. Sometimes bad things happen to good people and there is nothing we can do about that" he said and a single tear felled from your eyes while you thought about your kids.

"You would have been a good mom. I might have made a questionable dad" he said "Well, you were an amazing dad that time we had Sam" you said before you took a deep breath.

"You would still be a good dad, with or without me" you said "And I know for sure that even if it was not with me, you would be an amazing mother, you were one for Sam and I know you were one for Kayla. I mean you took care of her and raise her for eighteen years alone, and that is amazing" he said and you let out a small smile.

He kissed the side of your neck which was exposed with your hair pulled over your other shoulder.

It fell silent between the two of you for a few moments, leaving your minds to wander further, picturing the normal life you could have had together.

"Just so you know, I don't blame you for the apocalypse" you said and he looked at you.

"I never meant to hurt you Y/n/n. Before I married you and after I start caring about you, all I ever wanted was to keep you safe and the day you said yes to be my wife, I promised that above everything I would put you first and I thought by signing those papers was keeping you happy and not taking you with me when I left The Commission kept you safe. But I was wrong, it just tore us more apart. I hate myself for not fighting some more for you, for us, and I hate myself for leaving you behind in The Commission without telling you. And I know it's not my place to decide what you get to know and what choice you make, and I should have taken you with me or at least told you, I should have fought more for you, for us. And I'm so sorry about that" he said and you looked down.

"I know you hate me. I hate myself too" he said as he also looked down.

"I don't hate you" you said which caused him to look at you "I hate everything that went on between us because of us" you said "I hate it too" he said and the two of you looked at each other.

"I'm so sorry, Love" he said "Stop calling me that. I'm not your wife anymore" you said "But you are still my love. That hasn't changed" he said "You're insane" you said "You will still be my wife in every timeline" you couldn't help but smile when he said that.

"You are a dork" you said "A dork that you married" he smirked which caused you to roll your eyes.

"Remember our first mission in the Commission not long before we got officiel married in the town hall. We were on that mission first in the---" "Yeah" you nodded "Our mission was to take out two people in a gala, and it turns out we were out numbers and we were surrounded by a bunch of criminals and murders that those two people have hired to protect them" you said.

"Yeah, they thought they could take us out" he said "They were wrong" you said "And the music started playing and we..." he smiled "Yeah, we started dancing together while killing the men one by one" you said "It was actually really fun" he smiled "And romantic" you both chuckled as you thought back to that moment where you were dancing together at the gala while slaughtering a bunch of people as music was playing in the background.

Five might not get to love you as much as he want to in this world, but he will love you endlessly and effulgently every other universe and reality. His world will never end, because all he need is you. Y/n Hudson is his world, his everything.

He knew that the world was falling apart, but his true world was here, sitting next to him, shining like the brightest star in the sky.

You and Five are each other's love. And no matter what you always find your way back to each other, even if it takes years. The two of you will find each other again, even if it is in another life.

You and Five just sat in silent. You wanted to say nothing more than 'I love you' before it was too late but the fear of his reaction stop you.

"What did that man say to you?" Five suddenly said, breaking the silent and kinda ruined the moment between the two of you.

Your rolled your eyes "I thought you wanted to put it to the side" you said "I can't" he looked at you "What did my dad say to you? What did he promise you?" he asked.

"Nothing you need to be concerned about" you said "Y/n tell me the truth" Five said "I did. Could you just enjoy tonight? We're all going to die tomorrow" you hissed, hoping that Five would stop asking you about Oblivion. You had already admitted to be a human sacrifice what more did he want from you.

"Are we? Or did he tell you to say that?" Five raise a brow "Jesus Y/n, it's like we're back at The Commission again not long before we got a divorce" he said and you rolled your eyes.

"I'm done. You ruined the moment between us" you said before getting up and walk back inside but then Five grab your wrist "We're not done" he hissed "Yeah, we are. And you better let go of you before I cut your arm off and beat you to death with it or throw you into a wall or out to the Kugelblitz" you got your arm free.

"I wish I have never falling in love with you, I wish I never have met you" with that you turned around before walking away.

Letting out a sigh Five walked over to the table with champagne before grapping a new bottle and just started drinking his anger and feelings away.

He just need to get drunk and it didn't take long until he was.

Wasted, he walked up on stage before he started singing 'Come In Mr. Lonely' by Jerry Dyke.

"Come on in. Sit right down. Mr. Lonely" Five sang drunk while you were watching as Luther and Sloane was dancing together.

Luther had his arms around Sloane's waist while she had her hands on his shoulders as their foreheads was rested against each other.

"He's not half bad" Klaus said as he was standing next to you "He's alright" you said "You're too late..." Five sang.

"So, just to recap on this night" Sloane said as she looked at him "Mm-hmm?" Luther said "Ben and Five are blotto drunk" she said and Luther chuckled.

"Mr. Sadness..." Five sang.

"And Viktor and Allison almost punched each other out" she said "Oh. Yeah" Luther said "And Dad recited a weirdly moving death poem" she said "You know, that's not bad for a Hargreeves family wedding at the end of the world" he said "You know, I didn't need a big to-do. This is all I needed" she said before they kissed.

"I can't even offer you a smile..." Five sang.

"That used to be us" Lila said as she was looking at Sloane and Luther "We were never like that. Gross" Diego said and she gave him a small slap "That's more like it" he said with a smile and she smiled back before they rested their foreheads against each other.

"No offense. But you know. I'm still looking" Five sang with a smile.

"I think he is singing to you" Klaus said to you, you just rolled your eyes "You can't take his eyes off him" he said and you looked at him "You still love him" he said "Right now I'm considering to threw him off the balcony" you said and he giggled "Love make you do crazy things" he said as he push a little bit to you with his shoulder.

"Well, at least Y/n and Five is getting along" Sloane said "What do you mean they are getting along? I saw Five say something to her not long ago. She looked like she was going to kill him. But on the other hand I have seen Five and Y/n nearly strangle each other. I don't how they were ever married. I don't really understand their relationship. One moment they want to kill each other and the next they sent each other flirting looks. It just swing between them" he said "Love can be strange Luther. Really strange" Sloane smiled.
