CHAPTER SIX: MEET THE FAMILY

WEDNESDAY. 8:15 AM.

Five's siblings, Luther, Klaus, Diego and Allison were all in the living room.

Luther have told the others, what Five told him about the apocalypse.

"Three days" Allison asked as she handing a cup of coffee to Luther "That's what Five said" Luther said "The old bastard did mention the apocalypse, come to think of it. He just left out the part about how soon" Klaus said "But can we trust him? I don't know if you've noticed, but Five's little..." Allison said, putting her finger up to her temple and moved it around while whistling.

"Our little psycho" Klaus smiled as he lifted up his cup.

"He was pretty convincing. If he wasn't trying to stop an apocalypse, those lunatics wouldn't be chasing him" Luther said "That's why they were after him?" Diego asked "Yeah" Luther said "What did Five even see?" Allison asked and Luther looked at her "Uh...Apparently, we all fought together against whoever was responsible" he said before looking down on the floor while nodding

Luther then clicked his tongue "Okay. So, here's the plan" he said before getting up "Uh, we go through Dad's research---" "Wait, what?" Allison said cutting Luther off "Hold on, hold on" Diego.

"Wait a tick, wait a tick, wait a tick" Klaus said, holding up his hand "What actually happened the first time around?" he asked "Yeah. What are you not telling us?" Diego asked and Luther looked at him "Com on, big boy, spit it out" he said.

Luther got uncomfortable as he looked at the others, he let out a sigh before he answered "We died" he said quietly, putting his cup up to his mouth, taking a sip.

"What was that?" Allison asked and Luther let out a cough "I said, uh, we died" he said.

Diego and Luther kept arguing over each other as they all stood by the bar counter "No, we need to figure this out" Diego said "Is it just us?" Allison asked "It's everybody" Luther said "In the house?" Klaus asked "The whole planet?" Allison asked "No, outside the house. Everyone died" Luther said.

"Hey" someone said causing them all to turn around to see Vanya behind them with a young man behind her.

"What's going on?" Vanya asked "It's a family matter" Allison said "A family matter. So of course you couldn't bother to include me" Vanya said "No, it's not like that. We were---" "Don't let me interrupt" Vanya said, cutting her off before she began walking out of the living room "Wait" Allison said, walking after Vanya.

"I'll fill you in later when we're alone" Allison said "Please, please, don't bother. And I won't either" Vanya said "Vanya, that's not fair" Allison said "Fair? There's nothing fair about being your sister. I haven been left out of everything for as long as I can remember" Vanya said before she looked at the others "And I used to think it was Dad's fault, but he's dead. So it turns out you're the assholes" she said before walking away with the man right behind her.

"Ouch" Klaus said "I'm gonna go find Vanya and explain" Allison said and was about to go after Vanya but Luther stopped her. "No, wait, there isn't time. We need to figure out what cause the apocalypse" he said and Allison sighed as she heard the front door close.

"Now, there are loads of possibilities. Nuclear war, asteroids. But I'm thinking this is about the Moon. Right? Dad must have sent me up there for a reason. And I was giving him daily updates on the conditions, I sent field samples. The first thing we need to do is find his research" Luther said "Hold on. Hold the phone. We all died fighting this the first time around. Remember?" Klaus said "Klaus, shockingly, has a point. What gives us a win this time?" Diego asked.

Then suddenly there was an electricity crackled noise and everyone look up when they saw a bright flashing light appeared right above the middel of the bar counter.

There was a loud static crackling sound coming from the ceiling.

Blue light filled the air right above the middle of the bar before you and Five fell through the blue light and onto the top of the counter.

Five landed on the top of the briefcase while you landed in front of him also on the top of the counter.

"Je---Jesus!" Allison said as everyone jumped back while the two of you grunted.

Five had a giant crimson red stain from the side of his shirt and a few spots of blood on his shirt. He also had blood on his hands.

"You guys, am I still high or do you see Five and a young woman, too?" Klaus asked "Five, where have you been?" Luther asked as you and Five rolled off the counter, but when you rolled off, you almost fell to the floor.

"Are you all right?" Diego asked while Allison and Luther grabbed Five's arms, keeping him from falling as they helped him to stand up.

"Who did this?" Luther asked "Irrelevant" you both said as Five took Allison's coffee from her.

Both you and Five grunted slightly and took a few steps forward so your backs was facing the siblings.

Five then looked at you, so see if I was alright "Are you okay?" he asked and you looked at him before you gave him a slap across the face "Ouch" he said "You owe me big time, you idiot" you said "Sorry" he said as he rub his cheek "You know I have actually missed your slaps" he smiled and you rolled your eyes while he drank the coffee causing him to let out a slurping sound.

Five let out a sigh when you both turned around slowly to look at the others.

"Where the hell have you been Five?" Luther asked before he looked at you "And who is this girl?" he pointed his finger at you "Don't point that finger at me moonboy or I'm gonna shove it right up your ass" you said "Who the fuck are you?" Luther snapped. 

"I'm the person that's gonna cut your dick off and glue it to your forehead, so that you look like a limp Dick unicorn, that's who the fuck I am" you snapped back "I like her" Diego pointed at you "But who is she?" he asked.   

"Everyone, this is Y/n Hudson. She was with me in the apocalypse, she knows just as much about this as me, maybe even more. She is going to help us" Five said before he looked at you "Y/n this is my family. That's Luther, that's Klaus. That's Allison, and that's Diego" he said as he pointed on each of the siblings.

"So that is your family?" he nodded "Not what I expected" you said "They never are" Five said.

"Wait hold on, you just disappeared and then comes back few hours later with a kid" Luther said "I'm not a kid asshole. I'm a grow woman. I'm forty-six but because of an accident I'm in my eighteen-year-old body" you said.

"And why is she here?" Diego asked "Because she is gonna help us, we need her help" Five said "More like you needed it, you beg me to help you, and trust me I actually didn't wanted to, but you always drag me into a mess" you said "Well, you could have not let me in" Five looked at you "Then you would have being dead and I would have carried that guilt" you said scoff "Not that I cared" you rolled your eyes "I'm flattered" Five smiled "Wipe that smile off your face or I might do it with a fist" you said "Just like the first time" he smirked.

"Wait hold on. Are you two married?" Klaus asked "NO" you and Five both snapped at Klaus.

"She is my ex-wife" Five said "Wait, you two were married?" Diego asked and you both nodded "Married for eighteen years" Five said "So you got hitched in the future?" Diego asked and Five nodded.

"So she is the woman you have told me about" Klaus said before getting up.

"Lovely to meet you, sis" he said and was about to wrapped his arms around you but you put your hand up stopping him "Touch me and you will have a broken arm" you said and Klaus lifted up in hands like he surrendered "Okay, okay. She is not in mood" he took some steps back.

"Not everyone is a hugger Klaus" Five said as he looked at his brother.  

"We are not married anymore. Got divorced years ago" Five said "And that was the best thing ever happen to me in a long time" you said "Glad that was the only thing we actually agree on" you looked at each other.

"Okay, are you two divorced or married?" you both looked back at Klaus '"Cause I'm so confuse" he said "Divorced. Totally divorced" you said "But I sense that you still---" "NO" you snapped "Five and I are not together or is there anything between us anymore. It's over, and it's has being over for years. So you guys can stop thinking there is something between us because there isn't and if anyone say something about that again, I will punch them so hard that they wouldn't breath for a week!" you shouted which caused everyone to flinch.

"I will listen to her, she means it. She is the most deadliest assassin the world has ever know, so you better watch out" Five said "She is a spicy one, I understand why you and her were a couple" Diego said and you snapped your head at him.

"But if there is nothing between you then why are you---" "Five beg me to help him. And since he drag me into another mess and he left me no other choice than to help him I have to help him" you said "Listen despite our hatred towards each other, Y/n have agree to help me with this so we can save the world. So we have decided to put all the hatred aside and work together to stop this" Five said "So let's just get this over with" you said.

"Right. So, the apocalypse is in three days. The only chance we have to save our world is, well, us" Five said "The Umbrella Academy" Luther said "No, dumbass, The Avengers" you said sarcastic and Luther looked at you "The Umbrella Academy of course" you said before you looked at Luther "I really want to one what you have between your ears Luther, 'cause is not brain. Five was right, you really are not that smart. You are like superman, but aim lower, you are much dummer, plus you're such a daddy's boy" you said and Luther sent you an angry glare while Diego chuckled.

"What are you laughing at Batman Ninja wannabe, you are a mommy's boy" you said and Diego snapped his head at you.   

"Anyway, with me and Y/n/n, obviously. So if y'all don't get your sideshow acts together and get over yourself, we're screwed. Who cares if Dad messed us up? Are we gonna let that define us? No. And to give us a fighting chance to see next week, I have come back with a lead" Five held up a piece of folded paper.

"I know who's responsible for the apocalypse" he said and Allison stuck out her hand towards him who handed her the paper.

"This is who we have to stop" Allison unfolded the paper while Diego looked over her shoulder, so he also could see it.

"Harold Jenkins?" Allison read "Who the hell is Harold Jenkins?" Diego asked and they all looked up at Five while he was drinking the rest of his coffee.

When he was done, he threw the cup across the room "We don't know...yet. But we do know that he's responsible for the apocalypse. So we have to find him. And we have to do it now" he said.

"How is he connected to what's gonna happen?" Luther asked "I don't know" Five said "Wait, so you just know his name? That's it?" Diego asked "That's enough" Five said "Well, I also expected a little more from you" you glanced at Five.

"There's probably dozen of Harold Jenkinses in this city" Diego said "Well, we better start looking then" Five said "I'm sorry. Am I the only one that's skeptical here?" Allison asked.

Five grunted as he started feeling some pain in his waist causing him to winced with a small quiet groan while he looked down on his side and clutched onto the side as he tried to support himself up which you noticed.

Five turned his head to noticed that you were looking at him "Darling, you okay?" he whispered to you "Stop calling me that. And mind your own business" you snapped at him "Easy, I was just worried" he said "Yeah, right, stop pretending like you care" you said "But I do" he said "No you don't, drop the act, you stopped caring years ago, so why care now?" you raise a brow "I never stop caring for you" he said "That is a little hard to believe after you left me all alone for three years, painful years" you snapped at him which caused him to flinch. 

Before he could open his mouth Diego cut him off "Listen, we don't want to hear you two fighting, you are divorced and hate each other, we get it, but we don't want to hear you two cutting out each other's throat. And we don't want to be your couple's therapist" you both looked back at him "So can we continue?" he asked.

"I mean, how exactly do you know all of this about what's his name?" Allison asked "Harold Jenkins. You know those lunatics in masks who attacked the house?" Five asked "Oh, yeah, I think I remember those guys" Klaus said "Yeah, the ones that attacked us while you were getting drunk" Diego said as he was looking at Five "Yeah. Them. They were sent by the Temps Commission to stop me from coming back and preventing the end of life on Earth" Five said "The Temps what?" Allison asked "Our former employer" you said "They monitor all of time and space to make sure that whatever is supposed to happen...happens. They believe the apocalypse is coming in three days. So I went to Commission headquarters and intercepted a message that was meant for said lunatics. "'Protect Harold Jenkins' So he must be responsible for the apocalypse" Five explain.

There was a few seconds of silence before they all spoke up at the same time.

"What do you mean, protect time and space?" Allison asked "Where is this Hazel, Five?" Diego asked "My skin is on fire" Klaus said "Do you have any idea how insane this sounds?" Allison asked while Five looked down on his side again while letting out a sigh.

"This family is so stupid" you looked at Five "Why did you drag me into this?" you asked "You wanted this" he said "I actually didn't" you said.

"You know what else is insane? I look like eighteen-year-old kid" Five said aggressive as he pointed on himself before he pointed on Klaus "Klaus talks to the dead and Luther think he's fooling everybody with that overcoat" Five said and everyone turned to Luther who looked uncomfortable.

"And my ex-wife is in her eighteen-year-old body but she is still the most deadliest assassin in the whole world and she hate me more than anything" he pointed at you "Oh, I hate you more than that" you put your arms on cross in front of your chest.

"Everything about us is insane. It always has been" Five said "He's got a point there" Klaus said "We didn't choose this life, we're just living it. For the next three days, anyway" Five said "But the last time we tried to stop it, we all died. Why is this time any different? Why shouldn't I go home to my daughter?" Allison asked "Because this time, I'm here, Five is here" you said "Yeah, we have the name of the man responsible. Guys, we actually have the chance of saving the lives of billions of people" Five said and Allison lowered her head "Including Claire" Five said and Allison looked at him "You know her name?" she asked "I do, and I'd like to live long enough to meet her" Five said.

"Fight for your daughter Allison" you said and Allison looked at you "Five have told me everything about you guys, plus I read Vanya's book. And if I had the chance to see the people I love again, or spend more time with them, I would take it, whatever it takes" you said which caused Five to look at you, knowing who you were thinking about.

"This is our only chance to prevent the apocalypse. To find a way to stop the apocalypse from happening, Five drowned himself in work after we lost our kids and that's when I knew that he was no longer that man I once loved so much" you said and Five glanced at you.

"I need to know that we can stop this from happening. I need to know that this was not just a waste of time. That I was not wasting time by staying and coming with him" you pointed at Five. 

"Five was really your husband?" Allison asked, still not believing that Five got married. "Was. I loved him. He stop loving me and I stop loving him. He was too obsessed about this. That is why I divorced him. I couldn't be with a man who loves something that like more than me" you said as you glanced at each other siblings.

"He loves you guys. No matter of an asshole he is. He loves you. I never had a real family of my own. I actually had one once, but it got destroyed. I've know Five for over thirty years. He's my best friend. My only friend. He was my boyfriend. My husband. A really great one, too. He was the love of my life. Platonically and romantically. He was my family. Yet...he choose you. He choose you over me. Even if you're all fucked up in the brain" you said which caused Five to glance at you again.

He didn't really understand. He didn't choose you over anyone, but he kinda did, when he left you all alone in the Commission, it is the same that he choose his family over you. And he really regret it. He should have taken you with him, even so you were divorced at that time, he could have at least taken you with him or have told you or let you know, but he just left without telling you anything. Maybe it hurt more on you than he imagines.

There was a few seconds of silence before Allison spoke up. "All right. Let's get this bastard" she said, walking forwards towards you and Five "You had me at Gerald Jenkis" Diego said "Harold Jenkins" Five corrected him "Whatever. I've already lost two people this week, I'm not losing anyone else" Diego said before walking forward towards Allison.

Five then looked at Luther "And Luther?" he asked "Yeah, you go. I'm gonna stay and go through Dad's files. I still thinks this has something to do with why he sent me to the Moon" Luther said "Seriously? Now you wanna make the end of the world about you and Dad?" Diego asked.

"No 'Watch for threats 'That's what he told me. You think that's coincidence? This all has to be connected somehow" Luther said "No, we should all stick together" Allison said "We don't have time for this" Five said.

"Are you sure I can't punch him" you whispered to Five "Yes" he whispered back "Not even break his nose a little?" you asked "Tempting, but no" he said.

"Let's roll. I know where we can find this asshole. Klaus, you're with me" Diego said and looked at Klaus.

"Yeah. I---I'm good. I think I'll, uh..." Klaus said, standing up from a couch "I think I'll pass, I'm...feeling a little under the weather, so, uh..." he groaned before he left the room.

"Well then is only us four" Diego said "It's enough. Let's go" Five said before the four of you left the Academy.

"Are you sure that it is enough?" Allison asked "It is, that Harold guy don't stand a chance against me, no one does" you said and Diego glanced at Five who nodded "She is tougher than she seems, she is a better fighter and assassin than me" he said "And I became that after you left me" you snapped at him.

Five was about to open his mouth but you stop him "Drop it. I don't want to hear it" you said as you walked over to the front seat of Diego's car.

Allison and Diego glance at Five "Yeah, we didn't ended on very good terms" he said "What happen that made her so mad at you?" Allison asked "I don't want to talk about it, let's just get this over with before Y/n change her mind and leave" Five said before he walked over to sit on the backseat.
