CHAPTER FORTY-TWO: THIS IS THE SPARROW ACADEMY

"'Home'? This isn't your home" Reginald said "What are you talking about?" Allison asked as she furrowed her brows "This is the Umbrella Academy" she said "Wrong again. This is the Sparrow Academy" Reginald said.

The sound of echo footsteps approaching from upstairs was heard from behind them causing the siblings to turn around and they saw in front of a circular window stood five people and a grey cube that was floating next to them.

The five people was looking down at them from the balcony.

Diego pulled out his knife in defense, ready for a fight.

"Dad, who the hell are these assholes?" a voice asked and the siblings took their attention away from the people on the balcony to see a man walking out from the side.

Their eyes widened when they saw it was their brother Ben who was alive.

But he didn't look like the old Ben. His hair was different and he had an almost invisible scar on his face right under his left eye by his cheek.

Five and his siblings all froze in shock "Shit" they said as they realised that they had screwed something up when they travelled back from 1963 to 2019.

For the first their dad Reginald was alive, another group of people name The Sparrow was living in their house, and their dead brother Ben was alive.

Five and the siblings froze in shocked.

"Ben" Klaus said softly with a smile and Ben looked at him while Luther walked up in front of them "Is that really you?" he asked and Ben looked at him.

"And who are the weirdoes on the balcony?" Diego shouted as he was looking at The Sparrows that were standing by the balcony, looking down at them in confusing wondering who those people were.

"They are the Sparrows. My children" Reginald said proudly and the sound of rumbling was heard as the place shook a little bit while energy twinkling was heard.

Five knew that him and his siblings have really messed up big time. If Reginald never adopted him and his siblings, then they never had a life as the Umbrella Academy, therefore messing up the timeline, which mean that him and his siblings have other version of them living other lives and that means paradox psychosis.

But does this also mean that you don't exist anymore. No, you should still be here and remember him. But did you knew about all of this.

"I'm sorry" Five said as his siblings was looking at Reginald "What do you mean, your children?" he asked before he took a step towards Reginald "That's not possible, old man" he said "Of course it is! I think I'd know, wouldn't I?" Reginald said as the rest of The Sparrows walked down from the balcony to stand with Ben.

"Everybody else can see Ben, right?" Klaus asked as he pointed at Ben "Cute hat, Sundance" Ben said sarcastically in respons, in a voice like he was mocking Klaus and in respons Klaus tipped his hat with a smile.

"They call themselves the Umbrella Academy, a group of scheming, perfidious malcontents who accosted me in the fall of 1963 when I was away on business in Dallas" Reginald said and Five turned his head to check the briefcase he have left on the table in the entrance of the Academy.

He need to get it, but he wouldn't leave his family and he have a feeling that those Sparrows will attack if they made one wrong move.

"Be warned, they claim to be my spawn" Reginald said "Claim?" Allison asked as she looked at Reginald while she took a step towards him before she looked back at Five "Look, Five, what the hell is going on?" she asked "I don't know yet, but it's concerning" Five answered.

"Is he telling the truth?" Marcus asked "Not the part about us being perfidious" Vanya said "No, we're amateur-fidious, at best" Klaus said "But we are his children. This is our house" Vanya said "Yeah, yeah. We, uh...We grew up here" Luther said "'Yeah, we grew up here'" Alphonso said, mocking and two members of the Sparrow snickers at this.

"I kind of think we would have noticed you" Sloane said and Luther stared at her for a moment before smiling "Hi. I'm Luther" he said before extended his hand to Sloane who ignored the hand but still let out a small smile.

"Okay. None of you belong here" Allison told them as she took a step closer to them "Oh! Well, then. I guess we'll just pack our bags and move out" Fei said sarcastic.

Chris started making noises as he spoke causing the Umbrellas to look confused at the cube, not understanding a words it said while The Sparrow started chuckling "You slay me, Chris" Ben said.

Then Grace came into the room, holding a plate with cookies "I wasn't expecting company" she said with a sigh "This is the best I could do on short--" she said before her voice got discorded and it sounded like a robot "Short notice" she finished and Diego put his knife away before he walked closer to her.

"Mom" he said softly "Mom? She's a robot, you perv" Jayme said "She's not a robot" Diego said as he turned his head to look at Jayme.

"Hey, don't you call him that" Luther said as he was looking at Jayme "Or what?" Ben asked "Come closer and find out" Luther said and Ben took a step closer.

"Luther! Guys, chill!" Vanya said "Think I'm afraid?" Ben asked Luther.

"Stand down Ben" Marcus said as he put his arm out in front of Ben.

"Look at that! She's got a voice!" Luther said "How about I hide that big Rubik's Cube up your ass?" Diego asked and Jayme started moving her mouth and jaw before she let out a hiss as she spit her black venom spit on Diego which dissolved on his skin.

"What the hell is going on here?" a voice asked and everyone looked up at the balcony to see a young woman, looking down at them.

"There you are. Where the hell were you?" Ben asked as he have turned his head to look up behind him. "Do you guys really need me to babysit you?" the female voice asked.

"Are you coming down here or what?" Ben asked "Aww, are you a little scared, do you want me to come hold your hand?" the woman asked causing all The Sparrows except for Ben to let out a small laugh.

"This might turn into a fight and do you really want to miss that?" Jayme asked and the woman shook her head "No" she said.

The woman put her hands on the railing before she jumped over it and down on the floor, landing perfect on her feet.

"Why weren't you here when the alarm was ringing?" Ben asked "Calm down asshole. I'm here now. There is no fire and nobody is dead, so calm down, chill for a minute, Ben" the woman said before she stepped closer so she stood next to Marcus.

The woman had long dark brown raven hair and green eyes. She didn't look like she was more older than eighteen.

"Is it just me, or does she look like a girl version of Five" Klaus whispered to Diego who nodded.

"Are you sure you should be here Kayla?" Sloane looked at the young woman "I will be fine. I can take it" Kayla said "Is just, you know what your mom think of you getting in a fight like this" Sloane said "I will be fine" Kayla looked at Sloane "And if anything happen, I will take the blame" Kayla said and Sloane nodded.

"Listen" Marcus said, getting everyone attention "I don't know what circus you escaped from or how you got past our security, but we're done here. You got 30 seconds to get out of our house" he said "And if we don't" Allison asked as she had her arms crossed in front of her chest. "Then we'll have to settle this the old-fashioned way" Marcus said.

Klaus then moved his head to the side to look at Ben "Psst. Ben-er-ion" he said to him causing Ben to look at him "You look so much better alive than you do dead. Am I right? Except that haircut" Klaus said with a smile "What the hell did you just say?" Ben asked "He said that you look much better alive than you do dead" Kayla said causing Ben to glanced at her "I think you need to get a hearing aid cause you are really falling out" Kayla said "You sucks" he said to her "Yeah, but you swallow" she said causing the other Sparrows to let out a chuckled.

"Come on, come on" Klaus said as he waved his hands while he walked closer to Ben "Stop with all the hostility, Mr. Grumpy Pants" he said before he stopped when he was close enough and that's when he noticed the almost invisible scar on Ben's face right under his left eye.

"Oh wow. Nice scar. Muy macho" Klaus said "Shut you mouth!" Ben said aggressive, raising his voice "You shut your mouth and just hug your brother--" Klaus said as he opening up his arms.

But Ben swung a punch at Klaus's face causing him to let out a groan as he stumbled backwards before he lost his balance "That gotta hurt" Kayla said with a smile as Klaus landed on the coffee table.

"Hey! What the hell?" Luther asked as he turned to look at Ben "You didn't have to do that" he asked "Oh, I'm pretty sure I did!" Ben said "That's right, he did. That guy was being a pain in the ass, if Ben haven't hit him, I would" Kayla said.

"Get back" Marcus said as Luther walked closer to him "Luther, hey!" Vanya said "Back off!" Luther said as Marcus grabbed him before he push him a little bit back.

Luther then swung his arm at Marcus' face but he ducked down before he kicked Luther in the stomach and with his super strength, Luther flew backwards "And there he goes" Kayla said.

Just as Klaus got up, he saw Luther came flying towards him "Oh shit!" he said before Luther flew into him causing them both to flew backwards, hitting the couch, flipping it before they both landed on the floor in front of the fire place.

"Bad touch, Luther! Bad touch" Klaus said as Luther was laying on top of him "Sorry" Luther said as he try to get up before the fight began.

Alphonso, Fei, Sloane and Jayme followed after Allison and Vanya while Five and Diego stayed in the living room with Ben, Kayla and Chris while Marcus walked over to Luther.

Luther was about to help Klaus up but then Marcus came before he threw a kick at him, hitting Luther in the face.

Luther threw a punch at Marcus but he blocked it before they both started punching each other.

"Stop, stop!" Klaus as he got up and they both stopped before they looked at him "All right. Peace and love, peace and love. Here I come" he said before he limped away.

"Come at me, little box!" Diego said, looking at Christopher and Christopher said something.

"Hey! Listen, I have amazing hair, all right? This was era-approariate!" Diego said but Christopher shot out some red rays of electricity at Diego causing him to groan.

"That's all you got?" Diego asked before he was chase by Christopher.

Ben threw a kick at Five's leg before Five punched Ben in the face and Ben punched Five in the face.

Five swung his arm at Ben but he ducked down before he threw a fist at Five but he reach to moved it away with his arm.

Five threw a punch at Ben before Ben threw a punch at Five and he swung his body around before he threw a fist at Ben, hitting him in the face.

Five swung another fist at Ben but he block it with his arm.

Ben threw a fist at Five's face but he grabbed the wrist with his hand, moving it down before he threw a punch at Ben but he grabbed his fist before he punched him in the stomach causing Five to cry out in pain.

Ben then grabbed Five's arm before he went behind him, wrapping his arm around Five's throat, holding him in a headlock position.

But then Five blinked out of the grip before he appeared few feet in front of Ben "You're alive. That's...great. Or possibly horrible. I'm not really sure, yet" Five said as he stroke some of his hair away from his face "Is that some kind of weird smack talk?" Ben asked "It's more of an existential problem, really, Ben" Five said.

"Awesome. Well, here's your next problem" Ben said before he shot out one of his tentacle towards Five out of his stomach, but Five blinked away before he appeared on the balcony as the tentacle moved back into Ben's stomach.

"You know..." Five said and Ben turned around to look up at him "Even though you're a total asshat now..." Five said and Ben shot out again one of his tentacle towards Five but he blinked away again before he appeared behind him, and he grabbed his shoulder before he turned him around, punching him in the face, knocking him on the floor "It's nice to see you again, really" he said.

Five turned around but only to see Chris in front of him, but then Diego jumped on the cube with a yell "Who's your daddy? I'm your daddy" Diego said as he started punching the cube while it try to shake him off "Who's...your...daddy?" Diego asked as he kept punching the cube.

Fei was fighting against Allison while Jayme was fighting Vanya in the main entrance of the Academy while a crow was flying around Fei and Allison.

"I don't wanna fight you!" Vanya said to Jayme as she dodged a kick from her.

Jayme swung another kick at Vanya but she ducked down "Aww! Did you wanna be best friends?" Jayme asked before she swung another kick at Vanya, knocking her to the floor with a groan.

While Fei was fighting against Allison, Alphonso was eating popcorn as he was standing with Sloane was watching the fight.

"Should I step in and help?" Sloane asked, looking at the fights "Nah she is making a point" Alphonso said "By the way where is Kayla?" Sloane asked as she looked around "Probably messing with opponent, she love that, she have that from her mom" Alphonso said before he moved the bag with popcorn towards Sloane "Popcorn?" he asked but she moved the bag away while shaking her head.

Vanya then got up making Jayme poke to Sloane's arm causing the three to look at her.

"My turn" Vanya said before her skin turned pale and a white bright icy blue ball appeared by her stomach, but then a white ball appeared on Sloane's palm and with her powers she lifted Vanya up in the air causing her powers to go off, making Vanya flew backwards, hitting the wall with a scream and a grunt as she knock down all the pictures on the wall.

"Art snob, huh?" Sloane asked.

Diego was chasing the cube as he was throwing knives at it while Ben had one of his tentacle wrapped around Klaus, lifting him up "See? We're hugging! This is progress!" Klaus said.

Allison then got the upper hand on Fei "By the way, I heard a rumor you can't move" she said, her voice echoing as an energy wave travled out of her mouth and into Fei's ears causing her to freeze.

Alphonso then threw away the popcorn before walking over to Allison.

"Hit me" he said "What?" Allison asked "Come on. Hit me in the face" Alphonso said "Okay" Allison said and she threw a hard punch at his face but as she did that, it was like she was also hit and the sound of bones crunching was heard as her nose started bleeding.

Allison fell to the floor with a grunt "I bet that hurt, huh?" Alphonso said and Allison let out a gasp.

Alphonso walked closer to Allison and just as he was about to kick her, Five appeared and he grabbed her before they blinked away.

"Fast little guy" Alphonso said as he looked around.
