CHAPTER TWENTY-SEVEN: I'M IN

Luther and Diego entered Elliott's apartment.

But as soon as they walk in Luther spotted something on the floor "Blood" he said and pointed on the floor.

The two walked closer and Luther stuck his finger in the blood and held it up to the light "Shit" he said.

"Elliott?" Diego called out but no one answer.

"Diego" Luther called out and he walked over to him.

Elliott was sitting in what look like a dentist chair that was on the top of the stairs facing towards the front of the television store.

He was laying back in the chair with his mouth open. Dried blood was all around the mouth. Blood was splattered across his face from the cuts and some of his teeth was missing.

A clamp hung was clutched out of his mouth and some other type of tool had been lodged down almost halfway down his throat.

A stake knife was stabbed to his heart.

You could see on his body that he have being tortured.

"Holy shit" Diego said and Luther looked behind to see Diego looking over the railing.

Luther walked towards Diego to the word 'ÖGA FÖRÖGA' was witting in blood on the floor.

Five arrived at a room in a motel before he knocked on a green set of double doors.

It didn't take long before The Handler opened the door and she smiled when she saw Five.

"Ah! Just in time for a nightcap" she said and Five walked into the room before he closed the door as the sound of cocktail shaker sloshing was heard.

The sound of lip pops open and liquid being poured was heard as Five glanced around the room.

 The Handler put a cigarette in between her teeth before she offer a glass of wine to Five but he didn't take it.

"Just to be clear, I take out this person, you get me and my family home. No more doomsday, no more apocalypse. Is that correct?" he asked "That's the deal" she said as she sat down on the bed "Then I'm in" he said and she lifted up a piece of paper.

Five grab it before opened it.

His eyes widened as his body froze when he saw a photo of you.

EXTERMINATE Y/N HUDSON.

Five looked at The Handler who smiled.

"No, I will not do that" he shook his head "Come on Five, you hate her, just as much as she hate you. You are doing yourself a favor" she said.

"Why?" he asked "She is a threat" The Handler smiled.

"I can't kill her" he said "You can't or you wouldn't?" she tilted her head "I rather kill the board" he said "So you rather kill 12 people over one single person?" she asked and he nodded.

"Are you sure, it will save you a lot of trouble to just kill Y/n" she said "I don't understand why you even want your daughter dead?" he asked "What will you choose?" she asked.

"Kill the board" he said and and she lifted up another small piece of paper.

Five stepped forward before taking the paper from her and he unfolded it to see the place and date the meeting will be.

26 years years ago (For you)

You and Five were sitting by the fire.

"So when we get out of here, where do you want to live?" he asked "Why do you ask?" you asked "Just asking" he said "I just want to live in a beautiful house, where you can walk to the sea, and the house shall be on a small hill, so you can sit outside and watch the sun goes down" you said as you picture the image in your head while Five was looking at you with a smile.

"Y/n Hudson" he said and you looked at him "I know we've only been a couple for a year now, but the time that I have spent with you has shown me that I don't want to be with someone else than you" he said as he looked down at his fingers.

"I want to live that life with you, live in that house with you" he said before he looked at you "I may not be able to tell you this every day, but I just want you to know that you mean the world to me. The day you stepped into my life, you changed it into something so beautiful and meaningful. I may not be the first person in your life but I want to the be last person you every loved and the only one who make you feel loved to the core. I want you for the rest of my life. You're presence brings me joy, smile, love, excitement and so much more. All the things we have experienced together has build something special. I can't wait to make so many more memories with you...I love you. I love you because you actually put effort into me. I love you because nobody has ever given me the love you give me and you are the only one that could ever love this way. I love you because you always makes me feel that I am worth something. I love you because you make me smile when I almost forgot how to. I love you because you have a huge and honest heart. I love you and every little detail about you. I love you because you are simply you" he said.

"Five you sound like you are proposing" you chuckled "What if I am?" he asked and you looked at him before you chuckled but stop when you noticed his expression.

"You are not serious" you said as you raised your brow "I am" he said.

"Five, we can't" you said "Why not?" he asked "'Cause we are in the apocalypse" you said "That don't seems like a good reason to not become husband and wife" he said before he looked around.

"Close your eyes" he said "Five" you said "Please" he said and you nodded before you closed your eyes.

You heard a few whoosh, and after a few minutes, you felt someone grabbing you before blinking away.

"Now you can open them, Love" he said and you opened your eyes to see that you were standing in another place.

You were inside the library, lit up candles was all around with flowers hanging all around the walls.

"Woah Five" you said "That was the best I could do on short notice" he said and you looked back at him.

"Y/n, you are the strongest and most beautiful woman I know. You've been through so much yet you still kept that beautiful smile. And I love that I get to be the reason for that. I know our road has been a little bumpy" he said "Just a little" you joke and he smiled.

"But I would do it again if it mean having you by my side at the end. Because if there's one thing I know, it's that you are my endgame. And I love you more than anything" he said before he took a deep breath "I didn't know at the time, but the day I got stuck in the apocalypse was the greatest day of my life, cause it was the day I met you. You're the best things that have ever happen to me. There is so much about the future that I don't know, but one thing is for sure and that is, there is no way I would make it without you. So here goes" he said before he then took your hand "Five what---"

He squeezed it a little bit before he slowly got down on one knee causing your eyes to widened. Your face heats up as happy tears began to show in your eyes.

"Please don't, we don't want you to fall" you said but he didn't listen "I have already falling for you" he said and you chuckled.

"Y/n Hudson. I love you more than anything and I know that is the apocalypse and is not the best proposal, but I really want to do this. I have waited on this since the day we kiss for the first time. I have waited for the proposal and even so if we weren't the only two people left alive, I still would be here, asking you to marry me and I would still choose you to spend the rest of my life with. Loving you was learning that I could be loved too, with my flaws and imperfections, with my baggage. Loving you was to learning how I unload this baggage so I could be light again. Loving you was learning which parts of me I need to work on and which parts of me should stay the same. It was recognizing that love makes me invincible. It make me a force to be reckoned with. Loving you was learning how to believe in love. It was learning how to trust again. It was learning that love doesn't always hurt. It doesn't always walk away. It doesn't always destroy us. Loving you was learning that love is a personal choice and I'll always choose love...And if I had to do it all over. I would still choose you. Please don't ever forget how much I love you. "We are soulmates. You are the one person that never fails to put a smile on my face, no matter how bad my day has being. You are the reason I'm laughing and smiling. You are the reason I fall asleep with a smile on my face. You are my motivation to do things. You are my reason to never lose hope or give up. You are my reason to fight and to live. I love everything about. Your beautiful Y/h/c hair, your beautiful y/e/c eyes, your face, your hands, your smile, your laugh, your smirk, the way you walk and talk, your brain. I love the way you kiss me, the way you hold my hand, the way you look in my eyes like you just understand. I love the way you make sarcastic remarks, your personality, your passion for things, your thoughtfulness, your selflessness, your strong mentality, your supportiveness. I love every little thing about you and I promise you that I will always be here for you when you need me and even when you don't. Your happiness will be my #1 priority from here on out and nothing will change that, because I will love you more than anything in the whole world. I promise that no matter how many times we fight, I'm never going to stop loving you" you could feel tears of joy staring to appear in your eyes.

"We only have one life and is not the best, but is it something cause we are living it together. And I'm not doing this because you are the only other person here. I'm doing this because I love you and I can't be without you. I promise to always be there for you and to never leave your side, to always love you. And when we get out of here, my promise will still hold. You are the one person that never fails to put a smile on my face, no matter how bad my day has being. "You make even the apocalypse seems good and I don't know what I would do without you. You're perfectly you. Any surprises that come our way, it's okay, because I will always love you. You are the person I was meant to spend the rest of my life with. "Y/n, seeing you hurt is the worst pain I've felt and doing what we do I can't promise you a life without danger or hurt. But I can promise you that you will never have to go through any of it alone. You jump, I jump...You're endured things that would break even the strongest of people. But instead of breaking, you became so much stronger. All whilst remaining the woman I love. The strongest, most beautiful, caring, selfless, loving and funniest person I know. And I'm beyond honored that I get to call you mine. I love you more and more every day. If it's even possible to love someone that much" he said with a chuckled "It is" you said with a nod.

"We will not be husband and wife for real, but for me it's real. And I promise to proposes to you for real one day and get married for real, but until know, we have to be like that. So what do you say? Y/n Hudson, will you be my wife?" he asked.

You were speechless so you only nodded and Five smiled "Is that a yes? I really want to hear you say it" he said "Yes, Five Hargreeves. I will be your wife" he smiled even more before he got up, hugged you as he spin you around happily while you were laughing.

The two of you pulled away before he looked around until his eyes landed on a old can and he grabbed it, ripping the small silver ring out before he hold it up.

"I know it's not a real ring, but it's something" he said "It's the thought that count" you said and he smiled.

"It's too small for my fingers" you said "You can make it into a necklace" he said "Good idea" you said "I know that we are only boyfriend and girlfriend, but I see you as my wife" he said "And I see you as my husband" you said "And I promise you that when we get out of here and have stopped the apocalypse, we will get married" he said "I can't wait to marry you" you said and he smiled before you shared a kiss again.

You both pulled away but Five's face stays just inches away from yours. You look deep into his eyes and the corners of your lips curl up.

"You are my only one Five" you said "That's good, 'cause I'm the only one there is" he said and you chuckled.

"I didn't knew you could be such romantic" you said "You are the only know that can bring out that part of me" he said before you rested your foreheads against each other.

"I always want you in my life...Yes! You are my first and last wish that I ask from God. Your presence and words fill my life with true happiness and bliss! And I wish to hold your hands and say 'You are my blessing'. Yes, you are my first and last wish. My love for you is never ending. I always wanted you. Even when I didn't know what I wanted. It was you. You were the chapter that I didn't know the words to, but always knew it existed and when I finally found it and began to read, I knew I was home. Because of you I laugh a little harder, cry a little less, and smile a lot more. My heart for you will never break. My smile for you will never fade. My love for you will never end" he said.

"I promise to love you unconditionally, to honor you each and every day, to make you smile when you don't, to laugh with you when you are happy, to support you when you are sad, to be there for you when you need me, and most importantly, to never stop loving you. I am so grateful to have you in my life. You always know just what to say or do to make me feel better. You are what gets me by on even my darkest of days. I appreciate you so much. It wasn't your pretty eyes that made me fall in love with you, it wasn't your cute smile, your beautiful face or your gorgeous body, it was your heart. Something about you made me feel a little more alive and far less lost. Thank you for loving the parts of me that are not easy to love. Turning the pages gently and helping me re-write a happy ending to my narrative. You saw the good in me and you changed me for the better. I'd never give up on us, no matter how hard it gets. "I love you, Mrs. Hudsone Hargreeves, always" Five said with a smile. Your heart skip a beat when he say those words "I love you too, Mr. Hargreeves, always" you said with a smile before you colliding your lips once again.

The kiss was rough and filled with love that mixed with lust perfectly. It was the type of kiss that made time stand still.

26 years later (For you)

You smiled as you look at the little can ring that you have made into a necklace while your black wedding ring was in your inner pocket.

Then it knocked on the door and you walked over before you opened it, letting out a sigh.

"Can I come in? It's important" Five said and you let out a sigh before stepping to the side so he could come in.

"What is it?" you asked as he enter.

"I took the deal with your mom" he said "That's the dumbest thing I've ever heard" you said "I know" he nodded "Why would you do that?" you asked "She approached you too, didn't she?" he asked "Unfortunately she did. She offered to help your family if one of us killed the Board of Directors. I imagine she offered the same to you" you said.

"Yeah, I'm leaving soon to go through with it. My dad was essentially useless" he said before letting out a sigh as his eyes locked on you.

"I'm tired of this. All the killing. I hate it. You know that I never enjoy it" he said "I know" you nodded, your voice soft.

"I won't come here if I didn't had to" he said "Drag me into this more like it. Why?" you asked "You don't need to if you don't want to. Is just. It wouldn't be easier for me if you did it with me. We have seeing each other do our jobs enough" he said and you tilted your head.

"You don't have to come with me if you don't want to, I just wanted to let you know that I accepted the deal. And a part of me actually wanted you to take this mission with me. But is okay if you don't want to. You have already done enough" he then turned around before he picked up the black briefcase, holding the cool black metal warming in his fist.

He looked at you like you were a stranger but he was anything but that.

All you could see was your husband leaving that day at Sam's birthday when he was call into work. But Five wasn't your husband anymore and Sam was long gone. Sometimes you could still hear your son's laughter. You could see his beautiful green eyes looking at you, and you could still feel his dark brown hair.

"I have to go" he said finally, avoiding your eyes before he took some steps forward.

"Wait" you said and he stopped before he turned his head to look at you out of the corner of his eyes.

"Why did you come here, really?" you asked "I know you are retire and done with all the killing. I just thought that maybe the two of you deserve to go on one last mission together, bringing back memories" he said before he let out a small chuckled.

"I know, a stupid thought" he chuckled again.

"No" you shook your head and he turned to look at you "I know that I'm retire but I don't think it would hurt to do one final mission together, just like old times" you said and he smiled.
