Hyori hesitated before confessing, "I'm pregnant.”

Jungkook's expression shifted, surprised and concerned. "What? Are you sure?"

She nodded, tears welling up. "I didn't know how to tell you."

Jungkook took a deep breath, trying to process the news. He brings her inside, he doesn't want any child with her or anyone. He was being careful and used protection, but he remembers using protection When Y/n got pregnant with Jun too.

“Hyori, are you sure it's mine?” He asked again.

“I am not like you, I don't sleep around. I went to check up too, Jungkook please forgive us. I need you in my life. I love you,” She started crying. He ran his fingers through his hair. It will be so difficult for him to win Y/n back when another woman is pregnant by him.

She hugged him tightly. “Please, I love you.”

“You didn't want to have kids right? You can get abortion,” He suggested and she started crying more.

“Why are you so selfish? You are always like this. You never care about me and just use me whenever you want too. I am a human, Jungkook. It is hurting me, I just love you and want to be with you. Please don't leave me and our baby now, ” She exclaimed.

“Okay, just stop crying,” he said.

“You are not gonna abandon us?” Hyori asked. Her saying ‘Us’ was making him feel weird.

“I can take full responsibility for the baby expenses,” He said.

“Jungkook, You know that I can handle all the expenses on my own, I need you and your support. I love you," she exclaimed.

This is messed up, he never thought the decisions he took will come to bite him.

Taehyung, once living the high life, now faced the harsh reality of job hunting. He muttered to himself, "Didn't think it'd be this tough."

It has been a week since he left his house, and it has been really hard. He took out his wallet, and he still had his cards. He hasn't used them or checked if his father had blocked them or not.

He can just use them and take out a huge amount of money. But he decided to cut them all, before throwing them all.

Before he went to another company for a job, he handed his resume to the receptionist. The response was swift, "Sorry, we can't hire someone with such a prominent background. It might not fit our team culture."

Taehyung's Yale degree seemed more like a burden than a boon. Along with his surname, he never realized the burden of his surname. Because no company wants to hire him.

He can surely go to his company rivals and they would hire him as a way to irritate his father. But Taehyung decided not to.

He decided to adjust his approach and look for smaller gigs.

A local cafe offered a chance. The manager, eyeing his designer suit, hesitated, "You're from the Kim Empire, right? We're a simple place; don't think it'll work out."

Taehyung nodded, understanding that his last name carried both privilege and prejudice.

“I want to work,” he wanted to experience, it can't be that hard to earn money right?

But he was proven wrong when  he found himself scrubbing dishes and taking orders. Exhausted, he mumbled, "I never knew working could be this tough. Back in my world, things were handed to me on a silver platter."

It was his first step into the real world, Money doesn't come easy here.

And there is more to worry about. He never even had to worry about money in his entire life and now he was worried about what he was going to give to Eunae on her birthday.

Each paycheck was low; he never worked this much in his entire life.

"I used to sign checks, now I'm cashing them," he mused, realizing the newfound dignity in earning an honest living.

Taehyung never understood Jungkook's struggles and shamed him for earning honest money through labor. He learned the value of hard work and how much it takes to build a life, not just inherit it.

Y/n stood by the sink, washing dishes,
"Eomma, eomma! Can you design a dress for me, please?" Eunae pleaded, her voice filled with excitement.

“I will buy you one,” She said.

“Why? Dad said you can design it, please design it for me.” Eunae exclaimed. Y/n felt a little annoyed at Taehyung.

Y/n, balancing the wet dishes, hesitated. "Not now, sweetheart. Eomma's busy," she replied, gently trying to free her dress from Eunae's grasp.

But Eunae kept asking, "Please, eomma! I want a special dress!" she insisted.

Y/n, surrendering to her daughter's persistent charm, smiled. "Alright, let's see what you have in mind." She dried her hands, fetched a notebook and pencil, and sat with Eunae at the kitchen table.

As Y/n began sketching, Eunae described her dream dress.

Y/n once she started sketching, she found joy in this spontaneous creative moment.

In that simple act of designing a dress for her daughter, Y/n rediscovered the joy and fun that had been tucked away in the corners of her lost passion.

Later that night, after tucking Eunae into bed and kissing her goodnight, Y/n found herself finding a need, she began searching for job opportunities online.

As she browsed through various listings, she felt determination within Y/n.

Remembering the joy she felt earlier, she decided it was time to continue her career.

Jungkook nervously paced outside Y/n's apartment, his mind racing with thoughts of how to share the news. Hyori was a crying mess and she wasn't even letting go of Jungkook.

He wanted to tell Y/n, he doesn't know how to handle this situation but he was hoping to be able to handle this situation properly.

“Just breathe, Jungkook. You can do this.” He muttered to himself.

As he anxiously looked around, he spotted Y/n approaching with a smile, accompanied by Eunae and carrying bags.

Jungkook stared at her smile, she just started smiling, he doesn't want to tell her yet.

"Hey, what's all this?" He asked. “Um, what's with the bags? Where were you guys?”

“Oh, we went shopping for materials to make Eunae's outfit. She's got this amazing idea!” Y/n replied.

“Oh, that sounds cool. I thought... Never mind. I'm glad you had a good time.” Jungkook said.

“What are you doing here? Is Jun here too?” She asked.

“No, I came alone. I wanted to see Eunae.” Jungkook said and lifted her up.

They went inside, and Jungkook was spending time with Eunae. She was solving math equations as fun activities. Jungkook enjoys math too, so they both are able to enjoy spending time together that way too.

Jungkook loves being a father, he loves taking care of Jun and now when it comes to Eunae he adores her too, and he regrets that he couldn't be with Y/n or Eunae.

But he doesn't feel right about Hyori, he doesn't want a child with her.

After that he noticed Y/n, who was focused on her work. Sitting on the same desk she used to work at. A genuine smile replacing his previous stress, on Jungkook's face.

As he walked closer to her, witnessing Y/n's passion for creating outfits for Eunae made him realize the special connection and love embedded in his mother's efforts

“My mom used to make my costumes, you know?” He shared with Y/n the story of her mother crafting his costume.

“ Really? I didn't know that.” Y/n said.

Jungkook smiled, “Yes, Yeah, she had this magical touch with fabrics. She made my costume too, but I guess I wasn't a fan.

“ I admit, I didn't appreciate it back then. But seeing you so passionate about creating for Eunae, it made me realize how special it was. My mom had a talent for making things memorable.”

“You think so? I'm glad you get it now. Your mother is an amazing designer, I never complimented her in front of you but I loved her work and I was inspired by her.” Y/n told Jungkook, making him smile a little.

As he watched Y/n work, she was cutting the fabric and her hair kept coming on her face. Annoying her, she put it beside her ear but they would fall on him again.

Jungkook stood up and held her hair, collecting them all in a pony. She didn't have any headband nearby, he picked up a pencil and he twisted her hair in a bun before adding a pencil to hold up her hair.

He stared at her neck, he wanted to kiss her neck. But he knows he can't, so he sit back. Y/n smiled at him. And mumbled, “Thank you,”

Jungkook sat beside her and admired her work. Exactly like he used to do. “Don't stare,” she mumbled while not looking up.

He shook his head. “Why can't I stare at my wife?” He replied with what he used to say. But now she wasn't his wife, she didn't correct him.

After some time he heard the stomach noise, “Are you hungry?” He asked.

“Yeah, but I will cook something later. I want to complete this today.” She said,

“I can make something for you. What are you craving?” Jungkook asked.

“Ramen,” she replied. Jungkook smiled and he knew it.

“Eunae? Do you want some ramen too?” He asked. Eunae looked up from her notebook and nodded her head.

“I will be back,” Jungkook stood up and went to the kitchen. To his surprise, everything is exactly where she used to put it.

He took out four packs of ramen, and then he cooked it. Top it off with fried egg and cheese. He brings the hot pot to the table where all three sit and eat.

“It's so good!” Eunae said.

“I missing Jun now, why didn't you bring him?” Y/n asked.

“Sorry, I will next time.” Jungkook said.

“You better bring him,” Y/n exclaimed. She ate the ramen, “I miss the taste, I don't know what you do, it tastes better when you make the ramen.”

Jungkook chuckled, “Then eat more,”

“I want the radish pickle too,” Eunae stood to reach the other side of the table and pushed Y/n a little, causing Y/n to sit closer to Jungkook.

Jungkook passes the plate to Eunae, and she sits back. He was expecting Y/n to move back again, but she did and just continued enjoying the hot ramen.

He brushes his hand softly against her, he was afraid to even hold her hand. But she didn't push his hand away and he held her hand.

He smiled. It felt like an achievement. She accepted him to hold her hand.

Y/n took a deep breath as she left the interview room, feeling happy, as her interview went really well.

She decided to treat herself to a cup of coffee and surprise her kids, Eunae and Junseok, with some brownies.

Entering the cozy café, Y/n placed her order at the counter. As she found a seat, she waited for her coffee.

She smiled as he put the coffee cup on the table, “Thank you,”

“Your welcome,” She flinched as she heard his deep voice, she looked up and saw Taehyung.

She was really scared, is he stalking her? But he noticed her uniform. "Taehyung? What are you doing here in that uniform?"

He genuinely smiles. "Yeah, turns out it was really hard to earn money, I left my father's business, and now I'm working here at the café."

Y/n's eyes widened in astonishment. "You left your father's business? That's a big decision. “

Taehyung nodded, "It was time for a change. Plus, I enjoy making coffee. Is it good?”

Y/n stared at him confused by his intentions, “Why? Are you doing it for fun?”

“You are asking why? I should have done that a long time ago.” He replied. “And I am serious. God it's so hard to earn money on your own,”

Taehyung was acting like they were friends. Telling like how he used to talk in his teenage years.

She was about to stand up, he held her hand. She pushed his hand quickly. “Sit I want to talk more, I am really trying to change myself. I am sorry for not understanding your struggles and making fun of Jungkook.”

“Do whatever, I really don't care.” Y/n exclaimed before leaving, Taehyung stared at her. He can't see her either, the more he sees her, the more it hurts him.

There seems to be a solution for the pain he feels in his heart.

Y/n, still in a daze from the surprise encounter with Taehyung, stepped towards the road without realizing the oncoming traffic.

Just in the nick of time, a car screeched to a halt in front of her.

The driver's side door opened, revealing Jin.

Jin hurriedly stepped out of the car. "Hey, are you alright? What were you trying to do?"

Y/n shook her head, snapping back to reality. "I... I wasn't paying attention. Thanks for stopping."

Jin's gaze softened as he recognized her. "Wait a minute. You're that han river girl, right? Five years ago, I helped you out, and I even gave you my card, but you never called."

Realization dawned on Y/n's face as she recalled the memory. "You're right. I'm sorry, Thank you for saving me back then."

Jin smiled. "No worries. I'm just glad to see you're okay. But seriously, are you okay or were you trying to k'll yourself again? Did you get your reason to live?

Y/n chuckled and shook her head. Seeing her smile he knows that she is fine now, “No, I am fine. And yeah I kinda did,”

“Be more careful crossing the road. We wouldn't want a repeat of that day." She replied.

Y/n nodded, "You're right, I'll be more careful. And I appreciate you stopping this time."

Jin chuckled, gesturing towards his car. "How about I give you a lift wherever you're headed? It's the least I can do for someone I almost ran over."

Y/n laughed, "Sure, I'd appreciate that. But I can go on my own,”

“Maybe this time, You will actually save my number." Jin grinned.

As they drove off, Jin noticed she was not wearing any rings, “So, no wedding ring this time?”

“Yeah, You really remember every part of our meeting,” she replied, staring at her fingers.

“Yes, I was really thinking about you, worried you might have hurt yourself that day.” Jin exclaimed.

“No. I'm really fine now. I should leave. Thank you once again.” She said, He wanted to give  her his number but she refused to take it and she left.

Jin waited, watching her figure disappear. He sighed, now he doesn't know when he will see her again.
