DeAndre POV-

"Wow", I said to my mum.

We had just moved. Now this happened a long time ago but I thought it would be nice to inform you about it. So we were standing outside of our new house. My mum and dad would go looking at houses either when I was at school or after they finished work. Let me tell you something about my parents. They don't fight very often. It looks like they sincerely love each other. The places where they work are across the street from each either. They even have the same shift. They did it so they could have their breaks together. They're obsessed with each other, in a good way of course.

We should get back to the task at hand. So where was I? Oh yeah, the house. I was stunned when I saw the house. It was huge. I didn't think we could afford anything like this. At least it didn't seem that way. See my Dad's a doctor. He works at a very prestigious building. He does probably get paid "a lot". Now, my mum doesn't exactly "make bank". She is a lawyer.

Now I know what you are thinking "don't lawyers make a lot of money?". Well my mum isn't those kind of lawyers. She works at a very small law firm that her brother started about 10 years ago. As far as I know they don't have a lot of customers. I guess what I'm trying to say is that we are not the richest but not the poorest either.

So I was kind of shocked when I saw how big the house was. When we walked in I was flabbergasted. This was kind of my first real experience inside of a house. I've only lived in apartments my whole life. This house thing was new to me.

"Is that the kitchen?" I said very surprised.

"Yes it is. Huge right?" Mum replied.

"Oh yeah!" I said.

The kitchen was the size of our apartment back home. It was amazing how we changed from small apartment to huge house. I kind of missed my old home. I didn't have a lot of friends there but I was a little upset because I lost the only friends I ever had. I still call them every once in a while.

Soon after I unpacked my stuff I went to go check out the scenery. It was summer during that time so it was pretty humid. The trees were growing really high. We used to live in the city so I didn't see a lot of greenery. The other houses on the block were really big as well. It made our house look small. I saw some kids playing baseball. I waved to them. They looked at me then looked away with a disgusted face.

I guess they didn't like me. I also saw some people in there pool. I hadn't seen our backyard yet but I bet we have one too. After walking down the block my mum called me to go home. She was ordering Chinese food and she wanted to know what I was getting. I also get the same thing. "Just noodles mum". I don't know why I like it so much but I do.

After dinner I decided to take a shower and go to bed. Tomorrow we would be going supply shopping for school. I made a goal that after we go shopping I would go make some friends and get familiar with the area. I also made a proposal, before I slept.

"I think I'm going to like it here"*
