As soon as Alabaster woke up, they knew something was going to happen.

Alabaster scrambled out of their sheets, and yawned. Their ears popped up and their tail fluffed. 

First person POV!

My breath smelled so horrible that I could taste it. I decided for, myself and for the courtesy of others, that I should freshen up. 

After freshening up, I chose my clothes for the day. I chose a pair of flare jeans and a dad shirt. I felt satisfied with my outfit, so I went downstairs. 

When I opened the door, I heard my Mom calling me downstairs, "DIAMOND! I'VE BEEN TRYING TO CATCH YOUR ATTENTION! YOU AND YOUR BROTHER HAVE BEEN ACCEPTED TO, DIVINIA-THE SCHOOL OF MAGIC!" Upon hearing the news, I almost turned into my wolf form! I rushed downstairs, excited! When I reach the dining room, my Mom looks at me with stars in her eyes. "Diamond, there you are! You have been accepted to Divinia!"  I replied, "Mom, you told me already!" I notice that my brother is sitting in the corner of the sun-room reading a letter in his hands. Mom hands me a letter, and I read it in my head. 

Dear, Alabaster Khan

We have accepted you into Divinia, The School Of Magic.

We shall be looking forward to teaching you the ways of your unique power. Only a few students have been accepted from your village, so you should be on your best behaviour. We have high standards, and you should be able to apply to our rules. Any misuse of possibly dangerous magic is PROHIBITED, and will be punished severely. 

You will travel to school on the Skybus, at 8:00 AM sharp tomorrow, on Monday. You will pick up your uniform and dorm keys in school. If you have any questions, feel free to ask at the front desk.

School Rules

These rules will be followed, if you break any rules, you will be suspended or EXPELLED

1. DO NOT deface or steal school property

2. Do not travel off of school grounds any time in the school year

3. Follow the school dress code

4. DO NOT misuse your powers for evil

5. DO NOT harm or harass any other peers

6. Do not go out onto the school grounds past the 9:00 PM curfew.

After reading the letter, my eyes light up. Mom says, "Remember to follow the rules and study hard. Also, NO BOYFRIENDS OR GIRLFRIENDS Ok Diamond?" I reply to my mom, "Alright, alright!" My mom nods approvingly. 

Right after Mom has that "monologue" about boyfriends and girlfriends, My brother jumps out of his seat.In his usual nonchalant tone, he says, "I got accepted too!" Mom claps her hands, and reacts just like she did with me. Mom messes up his hair, and congratulates him.

After jumping around in excitement with my brother for like, 40 minutes, Mom puts breakfast on the table. My brother notices first, and rushes over to the dinner table. Mom announces breakfast to me as I turn around. I walk over to the round warm colored table. I marvel at the delicious omelettes on my plate, also observing the less-desirable brussel sprouts. I nom at the scrumptious cheese omelettes, while picking at the distasteful BRUSSEL SPROUTS. 

Let me tell you why I hate brussel sprouts. I HATE them because they just taste bad. Like really bad, like feeling like about to puke bad. They also are really hard to cook, and smell bad-

My rampant thoughts were rudely interrupted! By my brother, Hawk. Speaking of my brother, I haven't described him yet! Hawk has dark brown hair and piercing blue eyes. He is pretty chill, and likes to create music.

My brother asked me, "Ali? Are you ok? You're muttering things under your breath." I say that I'm fine and, definitely sane. He just glances at me with one more look of worry, and looks away. We both finish up our breakfasts and go to our rooms. 

My room was simple, it was painted a plain beige color and there were 2 pieces of furniture; One was my bed, and the other was a desk-bookshelf. Both had tons of clutter! I go over to my desk and clear out a space large enough for my laptop. I wanted to pass time, so I can skip to the next day! The exciting part!

After watching videos mindlessly, I saw that outside, the moon was high up in the sky already! I checked the time, and it was 10:34 PM! I don't want to miss the Skybus! I pulled on my pajamas and tried to go to sleep.

Of course, insomnia ruined it. It always does. So, when I can't sleep I tell stories about myself in my head! I swear to my Mom I'm sane. Definitely sane. So time for me to talk to myself, until I fall asleep! 

So my Mom calls me Diamond, short for diamond in the rough, because I am a Diamond in the rough! My family has never, in their whole history, had powers! Me and my brother will do great things for this family! Also I have silver hair, so it works out.

Oh! I think I'm ready to sleep now...
