Third-person Pov

It was a chilly winter afternoon, a group of tweens were 'chilling' by a fireplace, laughing and joking amongst their circle of friends. "Ty~! Love meh!" A brunette with curly hair shouted, tackling the boy into a hug, "ack! A-Adam, no offense dude- but you weigh a ton!!" The smaller framed boy shouted, struggling against the older boy, "Allow my love to smother you!" He shouted, squeezing him tighter. The others laughed at the display, one- the only girl amongst them- smiled and used her magic to replace her adoptive brother with a plush, putting him next to her. "Thank you Natalie! You saved me!" He shouted dramatically, hiding behind the girl, "why you no accept mah love?" Adam asked childishly, "give your love to Jason or something, I don't want it," he stuck his tongue out," "but Skylox?" "Do the Jason then maybe Skylox can happen," Ty stated, resulting in said astronaut looking at his friend in disbelief, "I thought you liked me?!" "Shut up and take it space boy," he sassed. Before the 'Space Boy' could reply he was pulled into a death grip by the older boy, "haha! Take my love and cherish it!" He shouted, squeezing his friend.

The whole of the friends laughed as Adam continued to share the love amongst them, well except one. The smallest- and youngest by a few mere minutes- sat in the corner, keeping a significant distance between himself and the others, scared of his own thoughts that swirled around his brain now. "Seto~!" The boy in question jumped at his thoughts being brought to a halt at another's voice, he looked up to see all eyes were now on him, "Stop being weird and come love us!!" Adam shouted, "u-um I d-don't-" "fine then I'll come love you!" The boy shouted, making it over to Seto before he could react, and hugging him tightly. "Gah!" Seto shouted, his body's defenses acting on their own as he felt a solid surface form in the shape of his body and extend outwards, forcing the older off of him and knocking him to the ground.

"Ouch, Seto that hurt," he whined, "Why'd you do that Seto?" Ty asked, but the boy had already vanished from their vision. He had no idea where he went, all he knew was he had teleported, the boy leaned against a wall and slid down to the floor, he was shaking, his breathing unsteady, he wanted nothing more than to simply stop existing in that moment.

"Seto?" A deeper voice startled him from his break down, he panicked and set a small shield around himself, not caring who it was. The blue-eyed boy above him looked at the small sorcerer with a sympathetic look, "Seto? Come on it's just Ian, you know you can trust me," the older said, crouching down to be eye level with him, "I-Ian?" He asked, peeking at the older boy. Ian chuckled softly, "yeah, can you put the shield down so we can talk?" He asked softly, watching as the royal purple shield started cracking slightly and slowly faded away, once completely faded, he sat next to him and placed his arm around the boy, hugging him against himself. "Now what's wrong?" "I'm a freak." he replied quickly, "a freak?" the older asked, the other staying silent and used his pulled up hood to hide his face from the piercing eyes of his close friend, "Seto, how are you a freak?" He asked, "I- remember that thing I told you?" He asked, "which thing? You tell me a lot of things bud," he smiled, dropping it quickly when he saw a pair of pained brown eyes looking up at him, "the thing about Mitch, and.. my feelings," he said softly. It went unseen, but the older allowed a small twinge of jealousy to flow through him, his hand that wasn't wrapped around the boy clenching from the green-eyed demon that had entered his thoughts. "You mean the fact of you having an interest in Mitch? Yeah. I remember," he stated, jealousy filling his voice, however the smaller mistook the jealousy for disgust, and started to slightly pull away from the older out of fear, however the the other quickly caught this and acted to calm his hurt friend "N-not that it's a-a bad thing!" "then..why did you-" "Because I'm jealous!" both stared at each other in shock, neither knowing what to say or do, they appeared to be two deer in headlights.

When one finally broke the trance,it was surprisingly Seto, "I- I told Mitch... he called me a freak.. he hates me..." Ian starred at Seto's sad eyes with pain, he wanted nothing more than to take away the pain he felt, the pain that made this beautiful gem crack. "Seto, Mitch has no idea what he's saying, you are amazing, a diamond stuck in a rough place, you're beautiful, sweet and always looking to find knowledge in the unknown, and.. that's what makes you so perfect.." Seto starred in shock with a light blush on his face. "I-Ian-" "I know, I'm an idiot, but-" Seto cut him off my pecking his cheek softly, they both grew to the shade of tomatoes very quickly, neither being fully aware of how he should react, resulting in a silence lasting for hours.
