Shikari POV.

The sun was rising as I walked towards the office. Knowing captain she is probably already in there doing paperwork. A small appeared on my face as I remember all the years working beside captain. She took me as a sister and I will forever be grateful.

Hmm I wonder what I should get her for her birthday in a month.

I opened the door quietly and stepped in. I was greeted with silence and looked around. The paperwork sat on captains desk still and she was nowhere in sight.

Hmm maybe she went to visit Jushiro.

I turned around and headed towards the gate. I could almost hear captains laugh when she had tea with Jushiro. It was always a pleasant sight to see captain happy. I stepped out of the gate and appeared outside the pillar with my back to it. I stepped forward towards squad thirteen when something dripped onto my face.

What the...

I touched my forehead and looked at my hand.

Blood?

I slowly turned around and looked up.

Ca..cap..tain.

Jushiro POV

Shunsei and I were walking around the cherry blossom trees. I was slightly worried after my conversation with Akarui and decide to check in on her. It was also a pleasant day so I took Shunsei with.

I was about to ask Shunsei about Akarui when I was stopped.

"CAPTAIN!!!!!!" A scream rang out through the soul society.

I looked at Shunsei and he nodded. It sounded like Shikari. We started to flash step towards Shikari and since we were close we arrived right away. We appeared in front Shikari. I bent down and placed my hand on her shoulder.

"Shikari what happened? Are you alright?" I asked as she seemed to be looking at something and was crying hysterically.

Suddenly Shunsei placed a hand on my shoulder.

"Jushiro, this is bad." He said and I could hear sadness in his voice.

I turned around to look at what he was seeing and stopped dead in my tracks. My mouth hung open in surprise.

"Akarui, oh no." I muttered as sadness washed over me.

Akarui was pinned to the squad zero pillar by her zompacto. Blood dripped the handle, her mouth, and down the pillar. Her eyes were closed and she was obviously dead. Soon more captains and lieutenants appeared behind us and gasped in shock.

"How could this have happened?" Aizen said in shock and slight fear.

"Someone please get her down." Unohana ordered.

Some soldiers went up and grabbed her. Shikari was still sobbing on the ground and repeating Akarui'a name sadly.

Oh Akarui, who did this to you?

Akarui POV

I hid in the shadows of the forest. I wrapped bandages around my stomach wound and tightly tied it so it would stop the bleeding. My body ached after using my last resort. I coughed up some mor blood. Then I quickly grabbed my black invisibility cloak.

I quickly disappeared into the shadows and traveled through the shadow dimension to central 46. I appeared in the meeting room where they discussed cases and gasped. There was blood everywhere and bodies slumped in seats.

This explains everything.

I quickly left and went to my secret room under squad zero. It can only be accessed by shadows. I laid down on the bed and sighed. It would take me days to bring back up my energy.

I'll just have to put my faith in the boy, Shunsei and Jushiro.

I slowly drifted off to sleep.

-time skip---(execution)

I sat up quickly and coughed a little. My wounds had healed a little but we're still pretty bad. Although I'm not dead so that's good. I flashed through the shadows and looked around. I sensed multiple captains, lieutenants, and Rukia at the Sōkyoku. I flashed towards it only to be hit down.

What!!

I tumbled across the concrete before flipping onto my feet. I immediately unsheathed my sword. Standing 30ft away was Aizen.

"Hmm interesting. You're not dead." He said with a curious face.

I smirked and flashed away. My heart raced as I stalled him. I appeared in a clearing within the forest. Aizen appeared a few feet in front of me. I stood firm and strong. He just continued to smirk.

"Still set on the idea that I'll lose. Funny" he said smugly.

I could sense Renji with Rukia and he was running away with her but I also sensed Gin and Tousen heading towards them. I flashed to them just as they reached Renji and kicked them away.

"I don't think so." I said angrily.

"Captain Akarui?!?!" Renji and Rukia yelled in surprise.

"What it's not like I died or anything." I said with a playfully smirk.

"Well you may still be alive Akarui, but you won't stop us." Aizen said as he appeared.

My flash is still slower because of the wounds and energy. I wasn't able to stop Gin and Tousen from kicking me away. Pain flared in my stomach and I gasped. When I looked up they had taken Renji and Rukia and disappeared.

Dang it

I sensed them on Sōkyoku hill. I flashed in front of Rukia and blocked Aizen sword.

"Your a little rusty at the moment Akarui." Aizen said while chuckling.

I felt a sword pierced through my stomach and left shoulder. I kicked all of them away and stood defensively in front of Rukia. Blood was pouring out of my wounds but I stood my ground.

"I wouldn't try to stop me anymore Akarui, unless you want me to kill Kimi." He said while holding up Kimi by her neck.

I tensed but kept standing my ground. He threw Kimi to the ground and sliced down with his sword, but it never hit Kimi. I shadow swapped with Kimi and took the hit. It cut from my right shoulder to my left hip.

"Sissy!!" Kimi yelled as she noticed what I did.

I smirked and collapsed on my side.

"Finally, now she's done I can keep going." He said as he grabbed Rukia and pulled the Sōkyoku out if her.

He then threw her down the ground and smirked at the object in hand.

"Now I don't need you." Aizen said as he lifted his sword towards Rukia.

Noo!!

My body refused to move at all as I watched the sword come down. Before it hit her though, Captain Kuchiki took the hit. I sighed although breathing was beginning to become a struggle. Everything started to blur together as the voices seemed to fade. The last thing I heard was Kimi, Shikira, Shunsei and Jushiro calling my name.

He won't win
He.
Won't.
Win.
