Felix woke up at dawn when Signe and Marzia were still asleep, feeling slightly tired since he hadn't slept at all.

He looked over at Marzia's peaceful expression before he turned away and cautiously crawled out of bed, being careful to not wake her up as he exited the room.

He spotted Signe's sleeping form on the couch as he crept down the hallway, Maya laying on her lap.

Just as Felix reached the door, he heard Edgar start barking behind him.

"Edgar! Deutschland!" Felix hissed sharply, relieved when Edgar quieted down.

No one woke up.

Felix took a coat with him on his way out the door so he could sneak over to Sean's house and check on the egos, hoping they hadn't done anything too stupid while he was gone.

The golden sun was barely hovering over the rooftops of the buildings around Felix, bathing him in its bright warm light as he walked outside and gently closed the door behind him.

He squinted in the brightness as his eyes gradually adjusted while he walked down the sidewalk.

For a moment he paused when he remembered he had forgotten his phone by his bed, contemplating going back inside as he glanced back at the door.

"I can't risk waking anyone up if I go back." Felix sighed in reluctance as he continued walking away, believing that he would be fine.

When he reached Sean's house, he could smell something burning from inside.

"Guys!" Felix barked through the door, his heart pounding hard in his ears as he waited to hear a response.

"Hey Felix, what's up?" Chase answered casually as he opened the door, shifting so he could block Felix's view of the inside.

"I came to check up on you guys, is everything okay?" Felix asked.

"Oh yeah, we're fine." Chase assured him with a nervous chuckle, moving again as Felix tried to look around him.

"Hey Chase, we need help over here!" Marvin called out from inside.

"Sorry we're busy, please feel free to come by later." Chase spoke in a rush as he tried to close the door in Felix's face.

Felix stopped the door with his foot before pushing past Chase, making it halfway to the source of the burning before Chase grabbed the back of his shirt.

"It's fine, we have everything under control." Chase promised him as he darted past him into the kitchen where smoke was curling through the doorway, Felix following him in.

"This is vhy you don't eat fire Robbie, fire is very bad!" Schneep scolded the zombie ego sternly.

"Jackaboy-Man, don't you have some kind of power to help?!" Marvin cried frantically as he frantically searched through his deck of magic cards.

"I can't freeze shit! Jameson, can you do anything?" Jackaboy-Man asked hopefully.

The mute ego shrugged helplessly with an apologetic expression.

"What the hell happened?" Felix exclaimed as he watched the fire grow on the stove top, beginning to lick the ceiling with its flickering orange tongue.

"We were making breakfast before somebody decided to try and eat the fire!" Jackaboy-Man snapped, shooting a glare at Robbie.

Robbie shrank back in response, his expression downcast for the first time since Felix met him.

Wordlessly Robbie left the room without a backwards glance, his head hung in shame.

"God damnit Jackaboy-Man!" Marvin yelled at his fellow ego as he finally found a useful card in his deck and threw it in the fire.

Abruptly the fire disappeared, all traces of damage gone without a trace much to Felix's surprise.

Marvin's face paled as he leaned against the counter, sticking his deck of cards back in the pocket of his cape.

"Good job Marv." Chase congratulated him as he reached into the fridge and tossed him a slice of cold Hawaiian pizza.

Marvin happily gobbled it down as he left the kitchen, Schneep, Chase, and Jackaboy-Man following him out with Felix and Jameson in tow.

"Have any of you seen Sean?" Felix prompted once everyone settled down on the couch.

"I thought he was sleeping." Schneep admitted.

"I'll check." Chase offered, hopping off of the couch and poking his head into Sean's room.

"Empty." Chase stated worriedly as he jogged back to the group.

Felix opened his mouth to reply before he noticed Sean's phone on the edge of the couch with a message onscreen.

Felix retrieved the phone from and glanced at the screen, frowning in confusion as he scanned the message.

"What's up?" Marvin prompted, the color returned to his face.

"Does this make sense to any of you?" Felix asked as he showed the others the phone.

On the screen he had a message from Sean, nothing legible since it was typed in some kind of code.

"Don't worry, I can codebreak." Jackaboy-Man declared as he took the phone, easily unlocking it before typing something in the phone and handing it back with a grin.

"Another code cracked!" Jackaboy-Man crowd triumphantly as Felix read the de-coded message.

"If you want to find Sean, you'll have to find me first. Love, Anti." Felix read aloud.

"P.S, I told you I would come back Felix." Felix continued, feeling goosebumps rise up in his arms.

"How do ve find him though?" Schneep wondered aloud.

Everyone in the room jumped in surprise when the tv abruptly turned itself on.

Onscreen they could see Anti in a dark room with Sean pinned to the wall behind him by knives, a shock collar around his neck.

"What do you want Anti?!" Jackaboy-Man snarled furiously.

"What do you mean?" Marvin interjected.

Sean screamed in pain as electricity arced through his veins, his back arching away from the wall he was stuck to while the egos and Felix watched in shock mixed with anger.

Once the electricity stopped, he fell back against the wall with his was bowed, strands of brown hair covering his eyes as he took shaky deep breaths.

"T̷͇̝̹i̯̩͡c̪̩̱̬̫̱ͅk͍͇̗͚̙̗͇ ́t͖͚͔̦͍̟̦o̥͕͢c͙̟̲͘k̨.̻"̢̹̮͇ͅ  Anti taunted with a maniacal laugh before the screen suddenly flicked off.

Without hesitation the group jumped to their feet, Jackaboy-Man beginning to pace back and forth in deep thought.

"How the hell are we supposed to find him? I couldn't see anything through the darkness!" Chase huffed in frustration.

"I could see the wall was made of light gray cement, a medical table shoved to the side slightly out of view." Jackaboy-Man mused aloud.

"How does that help us though, it could just be a dark hospital." Felix frowned.

"I don't know!" Jackaboy-Man admitted angrily, turning around with a fist raised to punch something.

Jameson intervened by grabbing his fist, shaking his head as he lightly shoved him back to the couch where he reluctantly sat down with the other egos.

"You probably told Anti where Sean was anyway." Jackaboy-Man scowled at Felix.

"What? No! I don't betray my friends." Felix countered defensively.

"I didn't either, it's Anti's fault for betraying us!" Jackaboy-Man protested.

"Jackaboy-"

"Why did I decide to trust you anyway? Robbie said he didn't trust you, so neither should I." Jackaboy-Man decided coldly.

"You trust that stupid, brainless mistake of an experiment?" Felix scoffed.

"Guys, we're wasting time!" Marvin spoke up.

"Don't you dare insult my friend like that!" Schneep snapped as he jabbed a finger in Felix's face.

"Whatever doctor failure." Felix sneered.

"Vhat did you call me?" Schneep asked in a dangerously calm tone.

"You heard me." Felix replied, equally calm as he glared back without backing down.

Before Schneep could make a witty retort, Sean's phone vibrated again.

Felix retrieved his phone and felt his blood run cold when he saw that it was a video accompanied with a comment that read "fifty minutes" in all caps.

Felix played the video, turning the volume up so the egos could hear as well.

"H-Hey guys, I know things look bad, but I'll be okay. Whatever Anti wants, don't do it. Don't-"

They winced when they heard Sean's pained scream once more, Felix's heart aching for his friend.

"We're wasting time, we have to work together." Marvin spoke up quietly after the video ended.

"Okay, I might have an idea." Chase chimed in hesitantly.

"I think they're in the underground base somewhere."
