-Tris’s P.O.V-

~3 Months later~

I stop my car in the high school parking lot and get out. Christina walks over. The girls started respecting us when Tobias made it clear that I had some value in his life. Honestly, these girls would do anything to get into his good books.

As for the boys, they’ve always looked wanted what Tobias has. Thus, making me the centre if male attention.

“It was so much fun saying no to Eric when he asked me out!” She says hooking her arm in mine.

“He asked you out?” I ask surprised.

“Why’re you so surprised?” She asks laughing.

“He asked me out too. I guess he’ll try to pounce on whoever he can.” I say laughing.

“Alright! That’s it! People can’t go around comparing the two of us!” She screams stomping her foot.

“What?” I ask.

“Face it. I’m way better looking than you.” She says tossing her hair back.

“Of course you are.” Will says coming up behind her and putting her arms around her waist.

“Right.” I mutter trying to turn away from the awkward situation.

“Where’s Tobias?” She asks me.

“I don’t know. He usually meets me in Physics.” I tell her.

“We…” She’s cut off by the bell.

“I forgot one of my books in my car.” I tell her walking towards it.

I unlock the car and reach in to pull out the book which is lying on the passenger seat. I gasp as an arm wraps around my waist and pulls me out. I turn around to find Tobias grinning at me.

“You…You scared me!” I stutter putting my arms around his neck and hug him.

“Sorry about that. I just meant to surprise you.” He whispers in my ear.

I remove myself from his hug and press my lips to his. He pulls me closer to him and I let him. I pull away and press my forehead to his.

“Can I tell you something?” He asks.

“Mmmm.” I acknowledge him to go on.

“You sure you can handle it?” He asks raising an eyebrow.

“Don’t you dare underestimate me!” I exclaim, putting on an offended expression.

“I love you.” He says, taking me completely off guard. This is the first time he ever actually said that to me.

The only thing I can think of saying back is “I love you too.”

He tilts back my head and smashes his lips against mine.

I am his and he is mine.

That’s the way it’s been all along.
