CHAPTER 20

TRIS POV~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

I wake up to the sounds of voices that are shushing and yelling.

I blink my eyes open and see that Lynn, Tobias, Will, Uriah, and Zeke are hovering around the kitchen table yelling about something that I don't understand.

The girls, Chris, Mar, and Shauna are telling them to be quiet and pointing my way.

"You have some pretty weird friends." A voice whispers into my ear, tickling my neck.

I scream and then quickly cover my mouth with my hand when I realize that it's just Caleb.

"You scared me!" I yell punching him playfully in the arm.

"Bea!" I hear a yell and direct my attention to where the gang is and see Toby running at me with chocolate smeared all over his face.

"You ate the dauntless cake without me!" I pretend to pout.

"We saved you a piece."

"Well, where is it?" I demand.

He runs away and come back with a tiny sliver on a plate.

I stare at it and look back at him. "Are you kidding me?"

"No why?" He asks innocently.

"I want a bigger piece!" I complain.

"Called it!" Marlene shouts.

"Four come here." I say patting the spot next to me.

He sits down and I quickly take my finger and collect as much chocolate off his face as I can and stick it in my mouth. I smile and he laughs.

"Woah." I hear someone say.

I turn my head around and see mom and dad walking down the stairs.

"We thought we heard shouts." Mom laughs.

"Hello Uriah and Zeke." Dad says suppressing a smile.

"Hello Andrew." They call back. In case you are wondering mom and dad hate to be called mr and mrs, so they let everyone call them by their first name.

"I see you have cake." Mom says.

They laugh and mom comes over and sits down next to me.

"You're friends with the gang, I see." I nod and she tells me how great that is.

"Now I don't have to learn more names." She squeals.

I laugh and she asks me how I feel.

"Good. And mom?" I ask.

"What?"

"Do you think you can start calling me Tris instead of Beatrice?"

"Sure anything you would like."

"Trissypoo!" Christina screams.

"Chrissypoo!" I answer.

"When do you think you'll be able to go shopping!" She squeals.

"Never." Lynn and I answer at the same time.

I giggle and look at Tobias who has his back to me.

I tap his shoulder and he turns around with cake sticking out of his mouth.

"FOUR!" I yell.

"Wats up?" He asks smirking.

"THATS IT! GO TO THE STORE AND BUY ME MORE CAKE! NOW!" I scream pointing to the door.

"Fine." He moans. "Boys you're coming with me. You made me eat it." They all groan, but follow him outside.

"Let's watch a movie!" Shauna tells us.

"What should we watch?" Marlene asks.

"FROZEN!" Caleb yells.

We all stare at him like he is crazy.

"What it's good movie." He says getting up.

We all laugh and Christina starts screaming.

"What!" Shauna and Marlene scream, too.

Me and Lynn just look at each other and roll our eyes. We know that Christina is always like this.

"HUNGER GAMES! I SHIP KATPEE!"

She screams.

"Uhhhh.... Isn't it Everlark?" Marlene volunteers.

"No I think that girls are better than boys and they deserve to come first." She says simply putting the cd in.

We all nod in agreement and start watching the movies until the boys come in with 3 huge boxes.

I feel my eyes widen and Tobias plops a box on my lap.

"Ma lady." He says in a British accent.

He puts a fork in front of me and opens the box.

"All for me?" I ask.

"Yah in your wildest dream." He smirks. "We share it." He says with an evil smile plastered in his face. He slowly grabs a fork out of his pocket and the gang just stares in amusement.

"On three." He says.

"1,2,3!" I dig in and he does to.

"Mmmhh." I say licking my lips.

"You done?" He asks hopefully.

I smirk and grab a huge chunk and shove it in my mouth.

"Well played. Well played." Uriah says.

Just then, dad comes over with a tall glass of water and a big pill. "You gotta take it."

I groan. I quickly stick the pill on my tongue and chug the water. I hand the empty glass back to him and suddenly realize how much I have to use the bathroom. Most of the gang is fixed on the movie, except Shauna who is on her phone.

"Four."

"Foouurrr" I snap my fingers in front of his face. Nothing.

I tug on his shirt and he turns like it is the first time I called him.

"I need to go to the bathroom." I whisper into his ear.

He nods and gets up.

"SECRETS, SECRETS ARE NO FUN UNLESS YOU SHARE WITH EVERYONE!" Zeke, Uriah, and Christina yell at the top of their lungs.

"I just have to go to the bathroom, gosh." I say.

I watch as their faces drop. As if we were going to do anything crazy.

Tobias pulls me up and wraps his arm around my waist, supporting me. I hear a bunch of oohs and aahs and I just glare at the gang, along with Tobias.

We slowly make our way there and I close the door in his face. I quickly pee and start to wash my hands when all of a sudden, my legs give out on me. I crumple to the ground with a small BOOM.

"Tris! Are you alright! Should I come in?" He says urgently.

"I'm fine. Just slipped." I answer, trying to keep my voice steady.

I make my way back up to a standing position and lean on the sink.

"Tobias." I softly whisper.

He comes in and puts his hands under my armpits.

"Do you want me to carry you." He rumbles.

"No." I say firmly. "Toby, they can't see me like this. It's too embarrassing. They're gonna make fun of me." I whisper, a tear rolling down my cheek.

"Tris, they aren't going to make fun of you. They know that you've been through a lot and you need support. They respect that. You know that they think you're the bravest person in the whole entire world." Tobias tells me wiping away the tear.

He turns around and crouches down so that I am taller than him.

"Get on my back." He says.

I slowly put my arms around his neck and wrap my legs around his waist. Tobias slowly walks down the hall and asks me if I want to make the group leave.

"Yeah."

"Pretend to be asleep." He tells me.

I gladly accept and rest my head on his shoulder and close my eyes.

I know we are in the living room and I feel all eyes on me.

"Ahhhhhhh!" Christina screams.

"Shut up! She's sleeping!" Zeke yells.

"You're no better, dufus!" Lynn screams.

"Shut up!" Marlene and Shauna yell at the same time.

"Yeah!" Will says.

"Pansycakes!" Uriah screams.

"Guys shut up." Tobias says calmly.

"I'm going to take her upstairs and then I'm going to take a nap because I didn't get much sleep. So I mean you guys should leave."

"Okay Four." Everyone says.

I take a peek through my hair and focus on Uriah who is watching us.

"Have fun." He says wiggling his eyebrows.

I hear rustling around and then the front door opening and closing.

"Well that was fast." I giggle.

"So what do you want to do?" Tobias asks.

"She is going to take a nap." Dad interrupts.

"Why?" I whine.

"Because Colby sent a text to make sure you were alright and he said that we should make sure you sleep for at least 12 hours each day." Mom says.

I groan and mom points up the stairs.

Tobias piggybacks me up and places me on his bed. I crawl underneath the covers as Tobias closes the blinds.

"You are the best boyfriend ever." I tell him.

"I know." He says smirking.

He lays down next to me and kisses my cheek.

"Go to sleep. I'll be here to fight the bad dreams off for you."

"With what?" I ask.

"My bare hands, obviously."

I giggle and close my eyes. I feel his lips touch my forehead and that is all.
