so this story is going to involve kind of a lot of time jumps, because it lasts a loooong time so a lot of big chunks of time will be condensed into maybe ten or so chapters in the future. for reference, right now we're settled around the midpoint of the 2023 season. ish. but there isn't really an established timeline right now.
