Hey, my awksome readers!

First of all, I apologize for the constant non-updates for the.. (gah!) past month. (Oh, shii!)

I've just recently been back to work, and there was just a lot of paperwork involved. Because of the pandemic, we had to adjust an entire school year's worth of plans. I'm just thankful I still have a job.

Anyways, the silver lining is that this gives some of the other readers a good time to catch up on the story so far. (*nervous laughter*)

But, on to the much better news.

First up, AddieElise03 just released this beautiful fan art for DITCH!

"Emile" from "In Which Reality Involves Smuggling a Gay Main into Class"

She actually has a book dedicated to all of her fan arts called "Fan Art for the Stories of Wattpad"! Ain't that sweet?

I suggest you check out her works because this girl is a promising artist (I'll tell you that!) and an awesome writer! (*cough* What Colorado Brought)

Next good news!

As I have mentioned on my message board a couple of days ago, DITCH has recently won two awards in the Humor category!

First Place in the Bookaholics Awards 2020

and

Third Place in the GOLDSHINE AWARDS 2020!

Behold, the updated DITCH book cover with its very first award sticker! (I'm still waiting for the other sticker, but I was just so excited to show this to you! lol).

Frankly, I never considered leaving some space for my award stickers to be placed (mostly, because I never expected to win xD).

But, wait. There's more!

Missfairygirl_12, author of "His Sarcasm Queen", today's birthday girl, and my judge for the GOLDSHINE AWARDS, was nice enough to provide me with the detailed score so that I can share this moment of victory with you!

A freaking 92! I was expecting so much lower than that! (*whispers to self* Girl, contain yourself!)

I have never felt this huge surge of relief.

Finally, all those days of having niggling doubts about my writing, my lack of sense of humor (I've always felt like I'm boring), and my story's overall appeal; they all vanished!

I've never been more resolute now in my writing. You guys are also a huge factor in that!

Thank you so much for giving my story a chance, and hopefully, riding with me on this writing journey.

Before I end this non-chapter, here's a sneak peek at what I'm working on for DITCH.

*Note: This has not been edited yet, so please excuse its unrefined state he-he*

I shake my head in mild distaste, not at all eager for this so-called surprise.

I take those few moments of footfalls as a chance to regain control of my faculties, willing the numb sensation to dissipate as quickly as possible.

Oh, the hell with it! I scramble off the floor, accidentally applying pressure on my latest injury.

"Pop's, what did we talk about using that tone?" I grit out, doubling over at the insurmountable pain striking on the top of my belly.

I spear Dax with a malevolent look, oozing with a vengeful promise.

"Save it for Halloween?" Pops replies, an ingenuous grin plastered on his face as he stops just a foot outside the ring.

"Exactly," I huff, cradling my tender abdomen as I attempt to get up, a bit slower this time.

I watch with wary eyes as his shadow strays a few feet away, surveying the rest of the gym's interior with a thorough gaze.

I immediately straighten up, ignoring the ceaseless cries of pain radiating throughout my body when all it wants is to writhe on the floor in peaceful agony.

"What's he doing here?" I couldn't help but ask — no, demand — when all I wanted was to ignore his very existence.
