Chapter 2

"Save him!" His fearful voice pounded through the room, demanding the savior of his best friend but the Doctor shot him a sent of pure pity as he glanced down towards the ground.

"I can't." His hand flew forwards, snatching the shirt of the doctor and pulling him only inches away from his face, his voice low and shaken, the doctor's eyes widened as he saw insanity twitch inside them.

"You're a Doctor aren't you?!" The somber expression which fell upon the Doctor's face caused Sky to pause as his grip loosened, and his face fell, until he caught a hold of himself, scowling.

"I am, p-please, calm down Sir." Sky laughing lowly as his head hang, casting a shadow over his eyes as they twitched, not showing any mercy or sanity he loomed above the Doctor, grinning.

"Listen here, Doctor, and listen well. If he doesn't make it, I will personally grab a knife and make sure that you don't either."

Sky shoving the doctor far away from himself, the doctor stumbled a few steps, grasping the air for balance. Finally reaching it as he stood, he shot a worried glance at Sky before regaining his composure.

"I guess I have no other choice then, how far would you go to keep him alive?"

The doctor stared at Sky, seeing something glisten inside the Doctor's face that made Sky feel hesitant, he knew what he needed to do. His friend's life was on the line, he couldn't say no.

"As far as it takes to keep him breathing." Sky confirmed. The Doc nodding as he scribbled a few things in a paper, he pressed his thumb against the spring of the pen, earning a satisfying click.

"He might not survive." The Doctor warned, Sky staring for a few seconds, his heart sinking slowly and violently, adrenaline kicked in to his decisions and he smiled back at the Doctor.

"Then you better hope he does, Doc." Sky chuckled lowly, his lower lip trembling he hid it by biting his teeth until blood was trickling down his lip. Earning discomfort from the Doctor.

"I'm sure he will."

The Doctor grinning from ear to ear, seeming pleased to have permission he quickly hurried to the surgery room and shouting could be heard to get prepared for the biggest surgery of their entire lives.

Leaving Sky alone, with immediate regretful thoughts about what they might do to him. It wouldn't be fun, in fact, it would probably be very painful for him.

But he had to keep waiting and hoping. A smile somehow glistened onto his face when he remembered inside of the will that he asked for Sky to take care of his cactus.

He was a goofball, no, he is a goofball. And if he lives, he'll be the biggest idiot in Sky's book that there ever was. No doubt about it, Sky always lured in dumb people.

Writing a suicide note about wanting his best friend to take care of his cactus. It isn't a pet, so why did he say it like it was something important? Maybe it was because he was from Texas?

Sky didn't have a single clue, all he knew was that he was hanging by a thread in that room, and maybe letting him die would have been a better choice than what the surgeons could be doing in there.

Sky hoped that wasn't the case.
