The Next day, y/n woke up to a smile plastered on her face. As she had every right to be happy. She had gotten the raise! That would mean bigger and better things for y/n.

Right now y/n was getting ready to meet up with Jin at a cafe. Since y/n had to go in to talk to her boss soon, she would spend the morning time she could with Jin.

Once y/n finished getting ready, she made her way to the cafe they promised to meet at. Walking inside, she spotted Jin sitting at the table, looking down at his phone. Smiling, y/n made her way over.

As she was approaching the table, Jin spotted her and stood up. "Hey, congratulations!" Jin said, throwing his arms around y/n's frame. "Thank you." Y/n smiled, hugging back just as tightly.

When Jin pulled back they sat down across from each other. "Do the guys know about the raise?" Y/n asked, looking around the cafe. "I haven't said anything yet. I thought maybe you'd want to do that." Jin laughed.

"It doesn't matter to me. I just can't believe I actually got it. This could be huge for me." Y/n smiled, thinking about all of the things she could do with her new raised amount of money.

"I knew you would! You work so hard." Jin said. Y/n smiled and before she could speak, the person taking their order came to them. They quickly ordered what the wanted then waited for it to arrive.

"So after this you have work?" Jin asked, feeling slightly upset that he wouldn't get to spend more time with his girlfriend. "Yeah, were discussing more about the raise." Y/n smiled.

"Is that it? Do you have actual work to do?" Jin asked. "I'm not sure. All he said was I'll see you tomorrow. I don't think he specified but I'll text you and let you know."

Jin nodded and watched as the person came back over with their drinks. "I'll pay. I'll have lots of money now anyways." Y/n grinned, reaching for her wallet. Of course, Jin beat her to it.

"It's my treat. A celebratory gift." Jin smiled. Y/n eyebrows rose. "Unless you'd like another way to celebrate." Jin said, wiggling his eyebrows. Even now, y/n couldn't hold back her blush.

"Uh..can I just have the money?" The worker said and y/n blushed even harder. "Here." Jin chuckles, handing over the money. The worker walks away as Jin starts laughing.

"Why would you say that in front of them?" Y/n scolded, lightly smacking Jin's hand. "I like to see you get flustered. It's cute." Jin proclaimed before taking a sip of his drink.

"Anyway, I'm paying next time. I'll even take you out to dinner with my next big check." Y/n grinned. Jin looked up at y/n from over his cup and smiled. "Whatever you say, princess."

As Jin and Y/n continued to talk and sip at their drinks, y/n was dreading leaving. She would rather spend the day with Jin but of course she knew she wouldn't be able to do that.

"I don't want you to leave. I'll miss you too much." Jin frowned, reaching for y/n's hand across the table. "I'll see you after work. I'll come over." Y/n said. "Will you stay the night?" Jin asked.

Y/n's eyes searched Jin's. She knew exactly why he was asking. Bringing back the whole "another way to celebrate." Y/n shook her head, laughing slightly. "Sure." She replied.

Jin smiled and intertwined their fingers together. "Don't keep me waiting too long or I might be impatient and start without you." Jin winked. Y/n laughed and shook her head.

"It's getting to be that time. I'll see you later today, okay?" Y/n said as she looked down at her phone. It was almost time for her to go into work. Jin frowned, noticing the time too.

"Let me drive you there. You walked here, right?" Jin asked and y/n replied with a nod. "Okay, let's go." Jin said before standing, pulling y/n up too. They grabbed their cups and headed out.

On the car ride there, y/n could feel herself getting excited. Just the thought of finally getting that raise was enough to make her happy forever. Well, until an ever higher raise came along.

When Jin finally pulled up outside of y/n's work, he parked the car and turned to her. "I'll see you later, okay?" Jin said, taking y/n's hand in his once again.

"Alright. I'll come by after work." Y/n smiled as she glanced down at their hands. "I'll pick you up so just call me." Jin said and y/n nodded. "I have to go now but I'll see you after." Y/n said.

Jin nodded and leaned forward to kiss her. Once Jin pulled away y/n said goodbye before heading inside. Once she was gone, Jin made his way home, already missing her.

"Good afternoon, y/n. Have a seat." Y/n's boss spoke as soon as y/n walked into his office. Y/n bowed before sitting down across from him. "I'd like to discuss the terms of the raise."

"Of course." Y/n nodded, trying not to burst out in a huge smile right then and there. "Okay, So firstly, you'll be making approximately five more dollars an hour than you were before."

Y/n's jaw nearly dropped at that alone. "Also, another perk would be that instead of every other week, you'll be getting paid every week." Her boss spoke, his voice slightly dull.

He clearly didn't care as much as y/n did but why would he? That was more money he had to give out. "One last thing." Her boss started. "What is it?" Y/n asked, moving to the edge of her seat.

Although she wasn't expected what he said next.

"Y/n told me she's finished so I'm gonna go pick her up. I'll be back." Jin said to the other guys before heading out to go get y/n. Although Jin had saw her earlier he was excited to see her again.

As Jin approached y/n's work, he spotted her standing outside waiting. When Jin pulled up he got out of the car and walked to the other side to open the door for her. Jin couldn't help but notice that y/n didn't look too happy.

"What's wrong? What happened?" Jin asked, becoming concerned. Y/n snapped out of whatever trance she was in and shook her head, putting on a smile. "Nothing is wrong." Y/n said.

Jin knew she was lying instantly. Jin had known y/n long enough to know when something was bothering her. He also knew when she was lying to him. Clearly, something was wrong.

The whole ride home, y/n barely spoke. The words of her boss kept playing over and over again in her head. She didn't understand why this was happening.

When y/n and Jin arrived back at the dorm, they headed inside where everyone was waiting for them to arrive. "Hey!" Jimin smiles widely once they walk inside. Y/n slightly smiled back.

"What's wrong? What happened?" Yoongi asked, now everyone catching on too. Even they could tell something was wrong. "I know something happened. What was it?" Jin asked, looking down at y/n.

Y/n sighed, not wanting to say it out loud. If she did then she would have to face the fact that it was actually happening. "Well?" Namjoon asked. Everyone was waiting for her to speak.

Y/n sighed, sitting down on the couch beside her. "I talked to my boss about my raise and he told me that in order to get the raise I have to move buildings." Y/n sighed.

"There's plenty of work buildings here for your job. Why are you stressed about that? The next building is only like 20 minutes away from the one you're at now." Jin said.

Y/n sighed. "That's not why I'm upset." Y/n said. "Then what's wrong?" He asked, feeling hurt just by seeing y/n this way. Jin didn't want her to be upset. She was supposed to be happy now..

"He said I'd have to switch to the building in Busan."

Wowwie I really don't know if anyone likes this story. I'm contemplating just throwing the whole story away. 😩 throw my whole writing career away too.💀
