.....
After almost an hour in the store, everyone was finally ready to leave. "What should we do next?" Hoseok asks, cradling the bag of items he had gotten into his chest. "Lunch?" Namjoon asks, looking around at everyone. "Food sounds nice." Jin starts but y/n nudges him slightly, catching his attention. "What is it?" Jin asks, stopping in his spot. "The surprise." Y/n says. "On second thought, you guys can go on without us." Jin says and everyone turns to look at them.
"Why?" Yoongi asks, asking what everyone else was wondering and wanted to know too. "We already have plans." Y/n said, looking down at her phone for the time. "Oh, alright. Have fun you two. We'll see you back at the dorm later, right?" Jimin asks.
"Of course." Y/n replies. After that, the others go on without them. "Are you ready to go?" Y/n asks. "As ready as i'll ever be." Jin smiled, taking y/n's hand in his. With that, they headed off to Jin's surprise.
...
"Can I uncover my eyes now?" Jin asks, his voice a whine. "In a second, We're almost there." Y/n said, smiling as she looked at the scene in front of her.
After a couple more steps, Y/n stopped walking. "Okay, now." Y/n says, smiling widely. Jin slowly removed his hand and when he did he smiled widely. "You brought me home?" Jin asked, his eyes glistening.
"Surprise." Y/n said happily. Since Jin didn't live very far from Seoul y/n was happy she was able to do this. She knew how much Jin missed his family and this was perfect.
Jin threw his arms around y/n, squeezing her tightly. "I love you so much." He cried, picking her up and twirling her around. "I love you too." Y/n smiled, hugging him back just as tight.
When Jin pulled back he kissed y/n before grabbing her hand and taking her inside. Instantly, Jin is greeted by his mother.
"Seokjin, you're home!" HIs mother cried, hugging him tightly. Jin hugged back, on the verge of tears; happy tears. When she pulled away, she spotted y/n.
"You're here too! Welcome home, Honey!" Jin's mother said happily as she hugged y/n tightly. Y/n after course hugged back, loving the feeling of a motherly hug.
"I'm glad to see that the two of you are still together!! When are you going to propose, son!?" Jin's mother cried, causing both Jin and y/n to become flustered. Marriage wasn't something y/n and Jin talked about super freely. It had only been talked about once or twice but never too seriously.
"Mom." Jin said, clearly taken back and embarrassed. "It's okay, Mrs. Kim. We're in no rush." Y/n said, laughing to brush it off. "Don't say that!! You're not getting any younger!! He needs to propose soon so you can give me grandchildren!"
That only furthered their embarrassment. "Mom!" Jin hissed, a visible blush on his cheeks. "I'm just saying. You do want to marry my son, don't you?" Mrs. Kim asked, making y/n's eyes widen.
Now Jin and his mother were both awaiting her answer. What y/n didn't know was that Jin was hoping she would say yes. Jin too, wanted to marry y/n. Jin wants to have children and grow old with her. That's all Jin has ever wanted.
"Well, yeah, I do." Y/n says, her cheeks flushed a bright pink. Jin smiled instantly, his heart warming in his chest. "See, son! What are you waiting for?!" Mrs. Kim asked, smacking Jin in the arm.
"Really mom, we're in no serious rush. We'll give you grandkids soon, I promise." Jin says and once again, y/n blushes at Jin's words. Y/n wasn't aware that Jin too, wanted all of the things that she did.
"Alright. Settle in, you're staying for a bit, right?" Jin's mother asked. "We can stay but not too late. Y/n has to go back to Busan for work in a couple of days." Jin says.
"You're living in Busan?" Jin's mom asks, taken back. "Yeah, I am." Y/n says. "How are you two dealing with that? It must be hard not being able to see each other daily." She says. Boy was she right.
"It is but we're managing." Y/n says as she leans into Jin's side. "Well this is even more reason to get married. It'll ensure that you two will always have each other, no matter the distance." Mrs. Kim says.
Y/n and Jin look at each other, neither of them knowing what to say. "Not anytime soon, mother. We need to figure this work thing out first." Jin says. Y/n frowned but she knew she couldn't do anything about it.
Jin caught y/n's frown. He could tell what he said had upset her in some way. Was it work or the marriage thing, Jin wondered.
What bothered y/n more..Jin wanted to know. We all wanted to know.
....
"Bye mom! I'll see you soon!" Jin said as he and y/n waved goodbye. They were finally heading home and it was now around eight. That still gave them a bit of time to chill with everyone, which was nice.
"Sorry about her." Jin apologized on the way home. "Why are you apologizing? She did nothing wrong." Y/n said as she looked out the window. Jin's brows furrowed.
"Is something wrong? You seem upset." Jin said, frowning over at y/n. "I'm not." Y/n shrugs. "Are you sure about that?" Jin asked, eyebrows raised.
Y/n looked over, her eyes on the side of Jin's face. "You actually want to marry me, right?" Y/n asks. So that's what this was about. Jin glanced over at y/n. "Of course I do, y/n. Why are you even asking me that?" Jin asked.
"Well we never talk about it and the only time we do you push it away like it isn't an important priority." Y/n says. Jin sighs, trying to keep his eyes on the road.
"It's not that it isn't important, y/n. It's the fact that I don't even know when the next time I'm going to see you after this is going to be. It could be weeks, months, you don't know." Jin says.
Y/n looks over at him and sighs. "I knew I shouldn't have taken this job. All it does it pull us further and further apart." Y/n says, starting to get upset.
"All I'm saying is that we need to figure this distance out before we make a huge move that determines the rest of our lives."
Y/n looked over at Jin before letting out a sigh and nodding. "I guess you're right."
"I'm sorry that things aren't different. Just know that I'm definitely in this 100%. I want to marry you, y/n. There's no doubt in my mind that you're the one I want to spend the rest of my life with. I love you. It'll happen eventually, I promise." Jin says, his voice serious.
Y/n smiled. That's all she had wanted; to hear Jin say he wanted it too, That he actually wanted to get married and grow old with y/n.
In that moment, she couldn't be happier.
...
When Jin and y/n finally got home they were greeted with everyone in the living room. They all seemed to be watching a show, well, everyone except for Yoongii and Yeri who were eye fucking each other on the couch.
"Hyung, Noona, you're back." Jungkook said, being the first to notice them. "Yeah." Jin said as he slipped off his coat and sat down on th couch, y/n joining his side.
"How was it? Where did you guys go?" Yeri asked, turning to face them. "She took me home. I got to see my family." Jin said, flashing a smile to indicate how happy he was.
"That was nice of you. I bet that was fun." Hoseok smiled. "It was." Y/n says, leaning into Jin's side more. Before anyone could speak, y/n's phone began to ring.
Everyone looked over at y/n, confused at who would be calling at this hour. Pulling her phone up, y/n saw "MR. WANG." Flashed across her screen. Y/n's heart dropped.
"I have to take this." Y/n said before hurrying to the other room where it was quiet. "Hello?" Y/n asked, finally answering the phone. "Y/n, how have you been? I know it's a bit late but I thought now would be a good time to tell you."
Her boss's words made her nervous. The only thing y/n could think was that she would have to go home. She would have leave Jin and the guys again, not knowing when she would be able to visit next.
"Yes?" Y/n asked, her heart pounding rather quickly in her chest. "I'm not sure if your old boss has talked to you or not yet so I wasn't sure when I should tell you this," He started.
"Is something wrong? I haven't missed anything have I?" Y/n asked, confused on what he meant and why her old boss would need to get involved.
"Not at all, y/n. In fact, the news I have for you is quite good." Mr. Wang continued, a smile in his words. "Okay..." Y/n only felt confused. The suspense was killing her.
As soon as Mr. Wang spoke, y/n seemed as if the world around her stopped. The air had been taken from her lungs. In that moment, all could y/n could think about were the words her boss had just spoken to her.
"Okay, Ms. L/n? I'll call to check on everything soon. Enjoy the rest of your night, okay?" Mr. Wang said before hanging up the phone.
Y/n stood in shock, unable to move.
~
Jin sat, confused. Who had called that y/n needed to excuse herself? Was it someone important? Jin felt nervous. Finally, y/n came walking around the corner.
Everyone looked over at y/n, confused and curious. "Who was that?" Jin asked, looking towards y/n too. Y/n looked up, tears glistening within her eyes.
"It was my boss.." Y/n started. Jin's heart fell, instantly expecting the worst. Y/n would have to leave early and go back to Busan..
"Why are you crying?' Yeri asked, just as confused as the rest of them. No one had expected what y/n said next.
"He called to tell me that they're transferring me back to Seoul."
