-Tyler's P.O.V-

Oh my god, they're coming. Oh my god. Oh no. Ohhh no. What do I do? WHAT DO I DO?

"Hey Josh?" I turn to my best friend.

"Yeah?"

"Yeahhh, they're coming this way."

Josh turns and sees his ex girlfriend and her best friend both walking over to us.

Josh blinks a few times, obviously anxious. You can tell his heart has started beating faster.

"It's okay. You can do this." I re-assure him.

"Yeah, okay...I can talk to her."

-Your P.O.V-

Oh my god, what am I doing? I'm never this confident. Am I really walking over to my ex boyfriend JOSH DUN? AM I REALLY GOING TO START A CONVERSATION WITH MY EX BOYFRIEND JOSHUA WILLIAM DUN?

Yes, yes I am.

"Hey guys." Karma says as I snap back into reality and realize we're standing right in front of them.

"Hey." They both say simultaneously.

"H-Hey." I stutter.

WHY DID I STUTTER? CONFIDENCE, (Y/N), CONFIDENCE.

I breathe in.

"What are you guys up to?" I ask Tyler and Josh.

"Uh, not much. Just walking around. Heh." Tyler answers with a low laugh.

My eyes quickly move over to Josh as I see him playing with his hands and staring at the floor.

-Josh's P.O.V-

Don't look her in the eyes, don't look her in the eyes, don't look her in the eyes.

I look (Y/N) in the eyes.

Crap.

I sigh and run my hands through my hair.

"What about you guys?" I question (Y/N) and Karma.

"Oh, uh. Same. Not much just...walking." Karma replies.

"Cool, cool."

...

Yay, awkward silence.

Tyler notices my nervousness and starts up another conversation.

"So! Your guys' new album is out right?" He says with a small smile.

"Yeah! It is. I'm pretty proud of it." (Y/N) replies with a smile.

That smile.

I've missed it.

"We haven't gotten the chance to listen to it yet but I'll remind myself to download it later today." I answer.

Woah, I didn't show any sign of anxiousness in that sentence. Way to go, me.

I look at (Y/N) as her eyes widen a bit.

I wonder what she's thinking about.

-Your P.O.V-

Josh is gonna...download the album?

Oh no. Oh boy.

Okay, don't freak out. It's fine, I'm sure he'll be completely oblivous to the fact that some of the songs are about him.

Yeah, definitely oblivious!

-Josh's P.O.V-

A few minutes and small conversations later, Tyler and I eventually say our goodbyes to (Y/N) and Karma.

"Well that was...interesting." I say to Ty as we continue to walk down the streets of Columbus.

"Yeah...how ya feeling?" Tyler asks me.

I shrug my shoulders. "I'm not that bad, actually. I thought I'd be feeling pretty down to be honest."

"So, you're not upset?"

"No, I still am just..not as much as I was."

Oh please, quit lying to yourself.

-Your P.O.V-

"So, that was-"

"Interesting." I interrupt K before sighing.

"I miss him." I confess.

"I know." Karma says patting me on the shoulder.

A few hours later, K, G and I are all sitting on our tour bus.

"Well, only a few more shows left to go." Grayson tells us.

"Man, time flew by fast." Karma says, leaning back.

"Maybe for you guys, but I wrote an album that felt like it took a decade to write. I'm ready for a break." I chuckle.

"Hey, we helped with the album too." Grayson laughs.

I smile at him. "I know, I'm just messing with you guys." 

I wrap the twins in a hug as they hug me back.

I pull away from the hug as my phone vibrates.

-Josh's P.O.V-

As Broken Castle's album finishes downloading onto my phone, I decide to listen to a couple of the songs.

Okay, the first song is titled Before.

Why does that sound familiar?

-FLASHBACK-

"I-uh..." (Y/N) looks at me.

"What?" I smile.

"I-I wrote this song about you.." (Y/N) blushes and droops her head down.

I scoot closer to her.

"R-Really?" I grin.

(Y/N) lifts her head and rolls her (E/C) eyes.

"Yeesss."

-FLASHBACK END-

Oh, right..

I breathe in as I press play.

The sounds of an acoustic guitar start to ring in my ears as I'm taken to (Y/N)'s world.

Her angelic voice takes my breath away as I lean back and try to lose the world around me.

"and before you, I didn't know it was possible to become so attached..."

I feel the same way.

I close my eyes and lay down.

God, she's perfect.

But, she doesn't want me. She's busy with her life, I shouldn't be one to hold her back from that. Maybe I'm just not meant for a relationship..

As I continue to listen, I realized I know what's she's talking about in the lyrics to every one of the songs.

Did I really become that close to (Y/N)?

The music suddenly stops playing in my earbuds as I pick up my phone and realize I listened to the entire album.

I have a few texts from Tyler from about fifty minutes ago.

Has it really been that long?

I sit up and rub my eyes, trying to gain back the exterior around me.

I take off my headphones before replying to Ty's texts.

I scroll down to previous messages of mine.

I see "Sunshine" plastered on my screen.

Hesitantly, I click on it and see all of our messages.

I sigh before scrolling through and starting to read and re-visit our old conversations we would have.

Maybe, a friendly text wouldn't hurt..

I start to type a message out to (Y/N).

Biting my lip, I decide whether I should really send the text or not.

Ugh.

I shrug before pressing send then immediately throwing my phone across the room.

-Your P.O.V-

I pull my cell out of my back pocket and blink at the notification.

Wait, he really texted me? I'm not hallucinating right now?

I look at Josh's name and his message on my cellphone screen.

Oh my god, he did. And he said he liked the album...that means he listened to it. He actually downloaded it and listened to the album. Wow.

My fingertips shake a bit as I think of what to reply with.

I wonder if he listened to the whole thing?

I bite my lip before wondering if I should ask.

Ah, whatever. Might as well.

Oh no, but if I say that won't he think I'm acting weird because some songs are about him? What if he thinks I want him to know they're about him? I mean like I don't care but I don't want him to think I'm weird or something.

UGH.

I hit send.

I quickly lock my phone.

That boy.
