Shikamaru awoke to Neji shaking him frantically. "What? Did something happen back home?"

"Naruto's gone, he was a spy," Neji confessed as he looked like he was on the verge of crying. "He's been gone for two weeks and now a statement has been flown out to us. We're heading back immediately as word has it that Kumo is coming and coming strong."

It was all too much and Shikamaru had a violent case of nausea. He tried to keep his bile down but Neji could see his expression. "What, no Naruto would never-"

He got cut off by the tent opening to reveal Asuma who gave him a sympathetic look. "I'm so sorry Naruto wasn't like Karui. Seems he was a high-ranking ninja."

"How high?"

"The adopted son of the now fallen Third Raikage. Brother to the Fourth Raikage and the Eight-Tails Jinchuriki," Asuma listed and both men paled.

'You've been the brother of the enemy. Naruto how could you do this to me?' Shikamaru started crying and Neji hugged him to his chest. The Hyūga was also trembling as he remembered all the times Naruto took him. He didn't give consent; Naruto had lured him in into giving false consent.

'I fell for his trap to Shikamaru but it wasn't all his fault. He was only working with what's there in the first place. He only pushed me off the edge so gently.'

Naruto looked out at the village from a distance. He had broken away from the main group and was instead tracking the group of Anbu that held Neji and Shikamaru. He wanted to drag the Nara back to the village by any means necessary. He followed his soulmate's scent towards an encampment. He masked his presence as he allowed Kurama to coat him in his chakra. He watched them comfort his mate as Shikamaru became unstable.

"He wouldn't!" Shikamaru denied as he gripped his head. His shadows became dangerous as they lashed out at the others within range. "He's innocent!"

"But I'm not," Naruto found himself saying as he stood behind his soulmate. Shikamaru's shadows stilled and launched for him. Naruto allowed them to wrap him in a tight grip. The other ninjas stood ready to attack. 

"Shikamaru keep him there," Asuma ordered but Shikamaru looked at him like he was crazy. Asuma knew that look, that look of disbelief. "You can't be serious Shikamaru, he's the enemy, he's dangerous!"

"He's right you know; I have no intention of going back to that trash you call a village. It was all for my personal revenge. I hated living there, the villagers were not fond of the child that held the Nine-Tails back so he left and ended up in the arms of a real family. His hatred for the Leaf grew and when the Leaf waged war this little boy who had become a man saw it as an opportunity for revenge," Naruto laughed at the turnaround of his life. "And it's finally coming true, the village collapses today." 

"Shikamaru come on, let us by," Neji urged as Shikamaru's shadows cocooned the blonde, protecting him from any flying projectile. 

"Oh, Neji darling how noble of you," Naruto cooed. The Hyūga gritted his teeth as he tried not to collapse under that blue dark gaze. "You were always so adorable." 

A chill settled over Neji as cold steel pressed into his neck. "W-were," He stuttered. Naruto stood behind him, his long katana blade shining with his blood. Neji stood still, shocked beyond measure. The Ninjas dispersed but they weren't quick enough, Kurama's corrosive chakra latched onto them, burning them alive as he did with Shikaoni. Shikamaru and Neji got to watch Naruto callously dispose of the ninjas they had bonded with. Shikamaru's sensei as well. 

"And then there were three," Naruto turned back to his traumatized soulmate before nuzzling Neji's cheek. "Neji did you tell him, might as well get it off your chest while you're still alive," The blonde traced his ear with his tongue. Neji shivered, the blade digging into his skin. Shikamaru's eyes narrowed as he watched the interaction. 

"What the fuck," Shikamaru cursed as he stepped forward. Slowly walking towards them. "Neji?" 

"We fucked, okay?!" Neji blurted out as he started crying. "I-I-I gave in to him, he drugged my food at one point, he treated me like a lover. I don't regret it; I didn't even feel guilty that I was doing this to you. I didn't-" He choked on his blood as Shikamaru had buried a short blade into his stomach, his eyes were empty, narrowed into slits and it was the final image Neji saw as the light faded from his eyes. 

They let the body drop Naruto stared at Shikamaru in amazement while the Nara kept his blank gaze. Shikamaru started too slowly back away. The scent of Neji's blood on his hands, the scent of burnt corpses it was getting to him. "Now, now don't go running now, you stabbed him clean through the stomach. You became my accomplice; come on Shika you look so cute with that haunted look on your face." 

Naruto jumped him and Shikamaru finally snapped out of his daze as he turned aggressive and flung Naruto onto his back, straddling him before burying the blade in his neck. Naruto's eyes widened in shock. 'He has guts stabbing me in the neck,' Naruto commented. 

Kurama chuckled as he shifted around the grassland in the mindscape. 'He's in shock, I think this will snap him out of it.' 

Shikamaru stabbed him several times over his torso and chest and didn't show signs of stopping. He got out of his shock when his blade hit a vein that splashed blood in his eyes. He cried out in shock, throwing the blade away as he looked down at Naruto's empty eyes. Shikamaru looked around the carnage before trying to stop the bleeding from the blonde. It was useless simply because Kurama was healing him and replenishing his blood. "I-I didn't mean it, I don't care if you're the enemy," Shikamaru started crying, his entire body soaked in his soulmate's blood. 

Naruto's eyes focused and he coughed up even more blood. Shikamaru looked down at him from between his fingers. "N-Naruto?" He called out in disbelief. The blonde gave him a bloody smile. 

"You have some nerve stabbing me through the neck, that's gonna fuck up your name at the back of my neck," Naruto said in a raspy voice. Shikamaru frowned as he felt something poking at his ass. Naruto gave him a knowing look as he grasped Nara's hips in a death grip. "Look around you, this is what usually gets me off but seeing you hate me with such a passion makes me so much more unhinged." 

Shikamaru shivered as the blonde's eyes turned dark with lust. "You're insane," He tried to get off, to run away but Naruto's hands grew claws and stabbed him. He winced as his eyes welled with tears. 

"I know, you don't have to tell me, just let me use you for a bit," Naruto sat up, his injuries healed as he used Shikamaru as a friction pad to get his cock pleased. Shikamaru went into shock, his body becoming limp and Naruto smiled and kissed him, the copper taste of his own blood adding a spike to every nerve in his body. Bind us in a second bond as strong as a soulmate's pull," Naruto whispered in Shikamaru's ear before sinking his fangs in the other's neck. Shikamaru screamed as purple veins formed around the area, creating a seal on his neck. 

The sounds of chains echoed in each other's minds and the sound of a padlock snapping shut echoed shortly after. 

'You are bound, you are mine, and only when I perish would you follow along with me.' 

Ironically it was the same bond he fantasized using on Neji back when he first seduced the Hyūga but it was better spent on Shikamaru. The Nara, though lazy was revengeful, he didn't put it past Shikamaru to try and kill him even if he was his soulmate.
