Why does it hurt?

We met again and before any of us could say anything, she stormed into my arms.
,,I'm so sorry."
Tears were streaming down her cheek.

,,Everything is so terrible, I'm so bad to you." She kept talking.

,,No, you're not. Are you okay?"
I couldn't even finish, she interrupted me.

,,You're the only one I have left, okay? Please don't leave me."
She cried non-stop, pressing her body against mine with all her strength, clinging onto me like someone was about to snatch me away.

Finally, after a long time, it didn't seem like she was far away from me, but instead very close.

But why did it hurt so much?
