Musical Terminology :
• Left hand pizzicato - a note on a stringed instrument where the string is plucked with the left hand (the hand that usually stops the strings) rather than bowed.
• Cadenza - a virtuoso solo passage inserted into a movement in a concerto or other work, typically near the end.

She never would've thought that the practice room could be so freakishly quiet. The air was still, as if time had stopped. She was stuck in silent prison after he left, and she can't help repeating his words as a form of distraction.
'What is wrong with you, Aubrey?'
It was a genuine question of concern, but she caught sight of the disappointment in his hazel eyes. It was unclear to her if he was upset or what, because his voice held no signs of anger. It was dead calm.
Aubrey gazed at the sheet music on the stand with a solemn expression, as the moon exposed its gentle and soft moonlight, scattering when they passed through the glass window. She could still see his form going out the room, his violin case in hand. He only left her with a dry question that she didn't know the answer to. If only she knew, she could've answered him then and there.
Her feet took two steps back, and she sat on the monoblock. She laid her violin down on the empty chair beside her, before sinking deeply into hers. She screwed up. And it's all because of her uncontrollable burst of temper.
Who the hell cares if he couldn't get the left hand pizzicato right the third time? He only tried for a few times, for goodness sake. Of course it's not perfect. They're supposed to work together in order to pull the concert off.
Staring at the snow covered town outside the window, she can't help but be remorseful. She knew Lucas better than anyone. He'll spend hundreds of hours if it means fixing a mistake.
But of course, his failed attempt at a violin technique is a not a good reason for her to throw a temper, right? Whether it's his interpretation, whether it's the way he played the cadenza, her reaction is just unnecessary.
She let out a bitter laugh, eyelids closing to keep her tears from rolling down her cheeks. What could possibly be the reason?
Ah, right.
It's because he has someone else, someone that he will spend his life with, other than her. Someone greater than Aubrey, someone worthy of his heart.
She hung her head and slumped her shoulders in despair. The scene around her faded into gray, no lights are turned on besides the ones outside.
She ran a hand through her tangled brown locks and ruffled it until it becomes more of a mess. She had to apologize. Or else the guilt would eat away at her remaining bit of sanity. Only God knows the aftermath when that happens.
