《14》

3rd Person

Y/n covered her ears as the group began arguing. She blocked out all the noise from around her, as she sat on the pavement.

But she could still hear them yelling, and they were loud. Y/n whimpered a bit, and tears filled her eyes as she rocked herself back and forth.

"It's all my fault... all my fault... my fault..." she whispered to herself, over and over again.

She hadn't realized that the group had stopped arguing, and they were all staring at her.

"Y/n... are you okay?" Richie said, placing a hand on her arm, to which she flinched away.

The group huddled around her, confused as to why the girl was acting like this. Y/n stood up, pushing past the group.

"I-I have something to tell you all."

She took a deep breath, ready for them to do their worst.

"This... these disappearences... they're all my fault. I caused all of this."

Everyone stopped, processing what y/n had just said.

"No, no, y/n, none of this is your fault." Richie said, shaking his head, his hair bouncing as he did so.

"You don't understand, Richie! I'm a monster."

No one had time to say anything, because y/n had already ran off, leaving the group of dumbfounded teens behind.

"What does she mean? How is this her fault?" Richie said, messing his hair up even more.

"I think y/n knows m-more than she lets on. I think s-s-she has something to do with the clown and the d-d-d-disappearences. This might be her f-fault!"

"No! You can't blame this on her just because you're so focused on saving your brother. He's dead! Get that through your head!"

Bill threw the first punch.

Y/n sat in her tree, sobbing. She had told everyone the truth, most of it at least, and they didn't even react.

Maybe that was a good thing. If they didn't understand the situation, they couldn't hate her, right?

"Oh, but they will."

Y/n jumped at the sudden voice, and looked down to see the clown once again.

"Go. Away." She said, glaring at the clown. But the clown just laughed.

Y/n thought back to the day when she had run from Ben's house. That was the first time she'd seen the clown in weeks.

The first time she'd seen the clown after she went against her orders.

"Come back y/n/n. We all miss you."

Y/n thought about the offer. If she was gone, the losers couldn't hate her. If she went back, she might be able to save them, and herself.

And so, with that thought in her head, she sighed, jumping down from the tree.

The clown smiled at the girl, and grabbed her face. It placed its finger at the corner of her lips, and moved it up to her eyebrows.

It did the same on the other side of her face. Y/n sighed, knowing there was no backing out now. She changed her outfit into one similar to the clowns.

The pair came to the entrance to the sewers, and y/n had completely forgotten about the horrible stench that it created.

She stepped into the greywater, her shoes getting soaked by the disgusting liquid.

"Welcome back, y/n/n."
