Do Cookies Bring Enemies Together?
It was the next day and Chase, Jackie and Marvin were together with the Iplier egos for filming. While Chase was doing a small scene on his own, Jackie and Marvin were hanging out on the side chatting and looking at their phones.
"So tomorrow, huh?" Jackie made conversation.
"Uh-huh. Should be interesting" Marvin nodded.
"You think anything will happen?"
"Nah. Dark will be here and so will Mark and Sean. I'm sure everything will be fine"
"If ya say so"
"Do we have a scene tomorrow?" Marvin asked.
Jackie looked up form his phone in thought, "I think so? I can't really remember now. . . . hey do you even know what Anti's scene will be? I haven't seen it in the script yet"
The magician just shrugged, "Don't know. Sean's been pretty secretive of it. Probably wants to get a real reaction out of it. I wouldn't be surprised about anything tomorrow if I were you."
"Guess you're right. Plus it's with Chase." he breathed out a sigh, "I can already see I'm gonna have to help tear them apart"
"You and me both, man. You and me both"
A few more seconds crawled past until Jackie spoke up again, "Hey, you know Yandere?"
Marvin glanced at him suspiciously, "Yeeees?"
"Come on, man. I know you're not oblivious"
Marvin scoffed, "Yeah, yeah. I know. But I'm really not interested. I really wish they liked you instead"
"Oh no" Jackie laughed, "They're great and all as a friend but Mr. Senpai, I feel SO bad for you, my dude. Actually, I take that back. Who WOULDN'T want to have a shrine of themselves?"
"A what!?" Marvin whined, "Ugh, no. I didn't realize that were THAT into me"
"Dude, their name is Yandere for a reason"
Marvin whined again.
"Calm down, dude." Jackie chuckled, "They mean no harm. They just really like you is all. In LOVE with you, really and who wouldn't be? I mean, look at you! I think it's really sweet, the way they look at you so dreamily and full of love" Jackie teased him.
That sort of lifted his spirits a bit, though, and he smirked slightly, "Eh I guess you're right. Plus they haven't done anything weird to me yet so that's a plus."
"Yan's awesome." Jackie defended his friend, "It's no wonder them and Anti are such good friends. They-"
Someone cleared their throat behind them and the two looked up to see Chase standing there.
"Oh hey man! You done with your scene?" Jackie asked him, trying to be polite.
Chase nodded, "Yeah." he sat down next to them, "Dark's got a scene now with Wilford and Mark."
Marvin was going to say something but Chase's strange attitude caught his attention, "Hey man. . . you alright? I mean dinner last night-"
"I'm fine. Just had a . .. stomach bug or something last night. I'm fine now"
"Huh. . . okay. Did you go see Henrik about it?"
Chase gave him a look and he stopped pestering him.
Jackie rubbed his back, trying to be comforting, "I know you're probably nervous about tomorrow but-"
Chase shrugged him off, "I said I'm fine. Nothing bad is gonna happen tomorrow, guys. Just fooking chill."
"You chill" Marvin muttered to himself but before he could come up with another sassy remark, somebody else caught his eye.
"Hey, Chase" Marvin smirked at him, nodding his head so a girl nearby, "Looks like someone's checking you out"
Chase rolled his eyes but carefully glanced over where his brother was talking about. A girl, probably a friend of Mark and Amy's, was at one of the cameras looking their way here and there. But once she saw Chase looking that way, she quickly turned back to the task at hand.
Chase snorted, "That's just the camera girl. I forget her name. And she was checking out Jackie, not me!"
Jackie rolled his eyes, "You're impossible. She was clearly checking you out, bro."
"How is she not freaking out, anyway that so many of us look alike?" Chase asked, "I don't recognize her and Mark and Sean haven't mentioned they told more people about us"
"Magic, bro" Marvin provided, "It's fucking magic. Duh"
"Tch" Chase smirked at him, "Geez, you don't need to be so snooty about it, kitty"
Marvin glared at him, "Told you to stop calling me that. Call me that again, and I'll turn you into a dog. That'll surely teach ya some new tricks, won't it?"
"Fuck, man" Jackie chuckled, "Brutal."
Chase sighed and bit his lip, "Hey . . . . you guys ever think Sean controls us too much?"
"What do you mean?" Jackie raised a brow at him, "Something happen?"
The father hummed, "I mean . . . he's always treating us like children or something. I mean I get that he created us and shit but . . . it's not like he's our dad. We have our own memories and thoughts. Different experiences and things to worry about. You know?"
Marvin thought about it, "I guess you're right. But we're all family. And creation does entitle him to dad-like tendencies, you have to admit"
Jackie watched Chase's expression but he didn't look wavered, "What's this about, Chase?"
He finally gave in, "Sean always . . . . uses us to put in his videos. Controls us, tells us what to do and that's ALL the community ever sees us as. It . . . it makes me feel sometimes that . . . that's all that I am. You get me?"
Jackie and Marvin stayed silent so that he could continue.
"And last night . . . . seeing Anti yell at Sean like that. Hate to admit it but I sort of envy him. He has control over himself. Doesn't let anyone tell him what to do"
"Except for Dark" Marvin teased, glancing over at the broody man still in a serious scene with Wil.
Jackie scratched his scruff and smirked, "Did I actually hear you right, Chase. You . . . ENVY. . . Anti? You're jealous of Antisepticeye??"
Chase glared at him, "NO. That's not what I meant and you know it! I just. . . he gets to be whoever he wants and gets to do WHATEVER he wants. And here I am stranded to be the sad, pathetic loser. A divorced drunk father of two who's never allowed to see his kids again! And Sean . . . made me come here and BE that for his stupid fooking video because it's what the community knows me as. Just pisses me off"
"I get ya" Jackie sighed, "Are you sure you'll be alright tomorrow?"
Chase scoffed, "I'll be fine. Whatever. I'll deal with it.. . . . . . .. . . .. I gotta go. Gonna get something to eat back at the house. Tell Sean I'm taking the rent car in case he asks."
Jackie and Marvin watched him stomp off.
"I hope things go okay tomorrow"
"Me too, man. Me too"
Anti was on top of the counter in the kitchen. It was the only way he could reach Dark's cookies. The chairs from the dining room were too far away and heavy.
He had been sneaking his friend's cookies for a while and of course Dark never expected it was him. And no one ever gave him away, either. Not even Wilford. Dark had a strange belief that Anti hated dark chocolate. Anti didn't know why he believed that but he wasn't going to correct him. Anti loved all things sweet AND sour.
He was almost to the dark chocolate stuffed Oreos when there was a cough behind him.
Anti nearly fell backwards but glitched enough to stay on the counter, "FOOK!"
He looked behind him to see Chase standing there staring at him with disdain.
Anti glared at him, disguising his anxiety, "The hell are you doing standing there like a creep!?"
Chase took off his cap and nearly rolled his eyes, "Normally I'd make a point not to talk to you willingly. But WHY are you on the counter where people make their food?"
Anti gulped, "What? I have shoes on! And I'll wash the counter when I'm done!"
"No, you won't"
"What's it matter to you, anyway? Aren't you supposed to be filming or some shit?"
"Not that it's any of your business but I came here for lunch. I saved back a slice of pizza last night"
"Oh. . . uh . . . the pizza in the fridge on the bottom shelf?"
Chase raised his brow at him again, "Yes?"
"Captain Magnum ate it. Said that booty was finders keepers or something like that"
Chase blinked but wasn't all that surprised, "Dammit. Whatever. I'll wait until dinner, I guess"
"What happened last night anyways?"
"What's it fooking matter to you!?"
"Just curious" Anti shuffled on the counter a tad and turned back around to try to reach the cookies again. How Dark got to them every day was a mystery to him, "You DID squeeze your pizza into juice, after all and ran off screaming that you weren't crazy. Pretty crazy if you ask me"
"You'd know all about crazy, wouldn't you? Mind your own business"
"Fine, fine"
Chase was about to leave the room when Anti suddenly slipped, almost falling backwards. He reacted in instinct and ran behind him as if to catch him, "Be careful!"
Anti had caught himself and clung onto the cupboard nearly shaking. He didn't like heights but cookies were more important to him. Except when he almost falls to his doom.
Anti caught Chase's accidental worrying tone but didn't address it. Instead, he whined, "But I want the cookies"
Chase groaned, stepping back, realizing what he had done. He wanted to leave again but his paternal instincts were winning over. Anti just looked so childish at the moment. It reminded him of the time little Sammy tried to climb the cupboards acting like Tarzan or something.
"Do . . .. do you need help?"
Anti wanted to accept it but he was too stubborn, "I didn't ask for your help! Why would you help me anyways?"
"I'd rather not be the last one to see you alive and have Dark, Mark and the rest of the house of Ipliers question if I killed you or not. Would be a new video called, 'Who Killed Antisepticeye'"
Anti snorted, "I'm trying to get Dark's cookies. They're on the top shelf"
"And you can't reach them?"
"Fooking obviously!"
"Aren't you the same height as the other Septics? Just reach for it! It's not that high up!"
"I can't! And for your information, Sean made me a hair shorter than you dumbfucks! Which is STUPID, by the way!"
Chase ignored the griping ego and rolled his eyes, "Can't believe I'm doing this" he hopped up on the counter, too, next to Anti and opened the correct cupboard. Then he took out a small boxed peanut butter and chocolate pie.
"What are you doing? I don't want pie. And that's King's"
"Just watch"
Chase ignored himself as he held his hand behind Anti in case he tripped over himself again and threw the pie up against the corner of the cookies, making them fall forwards and out of the cupboard!
Anti caught them and smiled wide, "YES! You did it!"
Chase actually smirked, "Of course I did. Trick-shot master, here. Now come on. Off the counter before you die and Dark kills me"
Anti glitched himself onto the floor and tore open the container of cookies with a grin, "Might kill you anyway. Dark NEVER lets anyone eat his cookies!"
Chase stared at him, hopping down from the counter, himself, "Then why are you eating his cookies? Why did you have me help you!?"
"Hey, you helped me yourself. I didn't ask! Besides . . . Dark's cookies are yummy and he's a selfish prick sometimes who can't share. Want some?" Anti held out the plastic container for him, "You helped. You get some of the bounty"
Chase would have refused but his stomach growled. He didn't want to share with Anti but his hunger won, "Fine. You spend too much time around Magnum" he reached for some cookies.
Anti grinned and munched on some himself, "That would be booty. Bounty is something Yancy, Illinois or Derek would say"
"Who's Derek?"
"An asshole. Eric's father. Such a fooking asshat, that guy. Treated Eric like garbage, always calling him a disappointment and shit. Mark wouldn't let me kill him though."
"Sounds like he deserved it. Derek, I mean" Chase ate another cookie. For once, he actually forgot who he was talking to.
"Yeah. . . . Eric's a sweet guy. A great friend. I wouldn't think any dad would say such mean stuff like that to their kid"
"A real father wouldn't. A real father would love his kids unconditionally no matter what and do anything and everything for them he could"
Anti swallowed and grew anxious again, reminded of who he was talking to and what he's done to him.
"I um. . . . . Chase . . . I-"
'Kill him. You could do it now and no one would know. You WANT to. The Knives are right there in that drawer. . . .or your gun is in the back of your pants . . . One bullet'.
Chase glared at Anti, taking a couple more cookies before simply walking away, ignoring the voice in his head.
Leaving Anti with the rest of the cookies to put back up himself.
Anti sighed, 'Well that went better than I thought it would. Maybe tomorrow won't be so bad after all?'
After dinner that night, Anti was up in his room messing around on his phone when he heard Dark scream bloody murder. He was about to kill someone.
"WHO THE FUCK ATE MY COOKIES!?"
Chase heard from Bing's room and him and the android looked at each other.
"Dude, who you think did it? They're SO toast!"
Chase swallowed, "Uh . . .I don't know. Mystery, bro"
Bing looked at him strangely but didn't saw anything more, knowing a lot more than he said. He helped Google control the cameras, after all.
