Chapter 10 - Lesson Number One

I teleported back into my seat in Philharmagic. I sighed with relief, checking the time. Only 5 minutes had passed, and the show was just about to begin. Which means I was gone for 5 hours back in the World of Disney.

Wow. Amazing how much I accomplished in that time.

Before I got settled into my seat, I felt on odd feeling. Like I was being watched.

Since I was at the seat at the end of my row, I slowly turned to my left to see a little boy, just staring at me. His eyes were wider than flying saucers, and his mouth was gaped open slightly.

"...How much did you see?" I asked him quietly.

"Enough to make me look like this." he answered.

I mentally face-palmed myself, not taking my eyes off of the boy. He saw me telelport back in my seat. I should have been more careful. I did I quick double take at the two adults that sat next to him. Looks like his parents didn't see anything, as they were conversing among themselves.

After a quick thought, I reached into my pocket, digging around in it.

"Where are you from kid?" I asked him.

"Canada?" He answered with uncertainty.

"Ah, perfect!" I smiled, pulling out a Canadian, purple, $10 bill. "You didn't see anything."

"... See what?" He replied, taking the money.

I grinned at the boy, snapping my fingers at him. "Exactly."

I sighed again with relief as I slouched in my chair. Just as I was getting comfortable in my seat, and the lights were beginning to dim, I felt a tap on my right shoulder. I looked up to see the Cast Member lady from earlier.

"Miss, it appears the man has left. You may return to your seat." She smiled.

"Thanks." I smiled.

With a small flashlight in her hand, she lead me back over to Poppy, Ty, and my grandpa, 12 rows back. I thanked the Cast Member again as I took my seat, greeting my cousins and guardian.

"Hey, what happened?" I asked them.

"The old guy left at the last minute." Poppy answered.

"And good riddance too." Ty grumbled, rubbing his cheek.

"Is it still soar?" I asked him with concern.

"Yeah. If he stayed there any longer, I swear I thought I was going to lose it." Ty answered.

"Don't worry, when we meet up with the others at Epcot, I'll get you something with my--" I dug my hand back in my pocket, digging around for my money. And then it hit me. I bribed the kid with my $10 I brought today. "You know what, I'll ask my dad, and then I'll get you something with his money."

"... Alright." Ty nodded in agreement as the red curtains opened up.

*******

Once the show was over, the four of us booked on out of there, making our way through the big crowds to get back to the bus station to go to Epcot.

We were waiting in line for the bus to arrive. It was fairly short at the moment. I suppose not many people like to visit more than one park in a day.

"You don't think the others did anything without us do ya?" Grandpa teased with a smile.

"Grandpa!" I whined, rolling my eyes playfully at the old man.

"I'm sure grandma will keep them all in line and make sure they don't do anything until we get there." Ty spoke.

"Anything? Not even games or food?" Poppy raised a brow at the curly haired boy.

"...Okay, maybe not everything." Ty replied.

I huffed a breath, leaning against the railing of the line. Sure I was looking forward to going to Epcot, but the one thing that stressed me a little was when Ben and Sebastian would call me for training. And why did it have to be at night time? Gosh, I'm going to be tired when I get back.

"The bus is here kids!" Grandpa exclaimed.

That knocked me out of my train of thought as I sprang my head up, watching the large vehicle pull up to the stop, opening its doors. The four of us piled in, taking the left front row of the bus.

I looked out the window of the bus almost the entire time, watching where we were going while making the occasional conversation with my three family members.

There was a fair amount to do at Epcot regarding rides, such as Soarin', Test Track, Spacehip Earth, and Mission: Mars. I heard that they got rid of that boat ride in the Norway pavilion. I kind of liked it. It was calm, relaxing, and it had a short drop in it too. I also really like The Three Caballeros boat ride in the Mexico pavilion.

I had a gut feeling my cousins would tease me about Santiago when we get there. I'm pretty sure Jam won't as long as he keeps the promise he made back on the plane. But, well, live and learn.

But the one thing that I'm probably the most excited for, is the food.

"We're almost there." Grandpa smiled.

"Food, glorious food!" Ty sang. "What more can you ask for!"

Me and Poppy laughed at the boy as the bus pulled in the stop. We piled out of the bus and made our way down the path to the park entrance.

"So, are we supposed to meet the others somewhere?" I asked the group.

"I think my dad said to meet them at the giant gold ball, thing." Ty answered, pointing at the large sphere.

"Gold ball? Really?" Poppy sighed, looking at him.

"What? That's what it was in that Kim Possible mission thing." Ty defended.

"But now they changed it to Perry The Platypus and O.W.C.A." I added.

"I kind of like Perry better." Ty replied. "No offense."

"None taken, I like him too." I waved it off.

Once me and the others got through security check points, we made our way down the large entry way, heading towards the giant silver spiked sphere.

Or as Ty likes to call it, the giant golf ball.

Once we made it, we actually found the rest of the family waiting up for us. Jam was off in the distance making another quick clip for his vlog, most of the adults were chatting among themselves as Vince's mom walked over, handing the boy an ice cream bar from a near by vendor.

"Hey!" I greeted, waving my hand at them.

"About time!" Vince smiled, running over to me. "What happened?"

"There was this weird guy." Poppy said, twirling her finger around in a circle near her head. "Slapped Ty in the face when he took Ava's seat."

"Whoa, really?!" Vince exclaimed with shock.

"Did you call security?" Grandma asked as she came over, inspecting Ty.

"I'm fine Grandma, really!" Ty assured her with a hint of frustration. "They guy left at the last minute before the show started, so Ava got her seat back."

Grandma glanced over at me, a conspicuous look on her face.

"It's fine, really." I nodded.

She sighed, straightening herself as she smiled. "Well, you're all just in time! We were about to go on Spaceship Earth."

*******

We had a blast all day long at Epcot. We went on every single ride they had, checked out all of the pavilions, had an amazing lunch at the China pavilion, saw some shows, went on some of the rides for a second time, had an awesome dinner at the Italy pavilion, and we ended the night with the Epcot Firework show.

But what really surprised me was that I hadn't received a call from from Ben or even Sebastian about training yet.

Maybe it got cancelled at the last minute?

Or maybe Prince Charming is taking awhile in his sparing classes.

Anyways, me and my family were making our way through the crowds of people, beginning to make our way back to the entrance of the park to get back to our hotel.

"Man... I'm so tired, I could eat a horse..." Vince yawned. "Oh wait, that's something else..."

I giggled at the boy as his mother picked him up in her arms. She was really strong, considering Vince's age and how heavy he is.

We made our way through the pavilions and as we were passing by, I felt a hand on my shoulder, and I was suddenly jerked to the side.

"Hey, what the--!"

"Relax, it's me!"

When I saw the familiar face, I sighed with relief. "Sebastian... you scared me, I nearly pee'd myself."

"Sorry about that. Anyways, Ben sent me to fetch you. We're meeting him at Cinderella's Castle." He explained.

"Alright, but how are we supposed to get there? We can't take the bus, my parents and family would notice." I replied.

"I know a why, but we got to teleport first." He assured.

"Well, if you're sure." I shrugged nervously.

The British boy nodded at me as I heard voices from outside, calling out to me. I stepped to the side, poking my head out to see my family.

"You okay kid?" My step-mother asked me.

"Yeah, I'm fine I just... need to take a quick bathroom break." I spoke quickly.

"Alright, well, don't be too long okay? I'm pretty sure we all could use some sleep." She replied.

I chuckled nervously. "I second that. I'll be fast."

"Okay." She waved.

As my family chatted with each other, I turned back into the small building, walking back to Sebastian's location.

"You ready to go?" He asked me.

"Yeah, but we've got to be quick." I pestered.

"Considering how time works over there? I think you'll have nothing to worry about. Let's jump." He spoke as he brought out his own Disney Wizards communicator.

It was dark blue, shaped like Mickey Mouse's head. He extended his other hand towards me as I reached over and grasped it. He pressed a red button and the light blue force field surrounded us and within a flash and the quick tugging sensation later, we were teleported to the World of Disney.

Sebastian slipped his communicator back in his pocket as he lead the way out of the small building.

Epcot was gigantic!

And very pretty too.

"So, what's Epcot like here?" I asked Sebastian as I followed him.

"Well, around here, the pavilions represent the different countries, just like in the park. But here in the World of Disney, they are actual cities. Lots of Disney characters live here actually." Sebastian explained.

We made our way out of the Mexico pavilion as exotic music played in the background, arriving in the futuristic part of Epcot.

"So you know the ride Soarin'? Well, around here we use it for transportation to the other areas of World of Disney." Sebastian added.

"So we're taking it to Magical Kingdom?" I asked him.

"Exactly!" He answered with a smile.

"Oh, neat! So we fly over everything, that's pretty cool."

We made it over to the Soarin' Transit Station, Sebastian getting the two of us through security. The place was pretty neat. It's just like what the ride is, only slightly more realistic. We walked down the large hallway, entering Docking Bay 1.

The Soarin' gliders were perched in two rows of five. They had golden rims with matching silver. Me and Sebastian made our way up to the front row, sliding in to our seats as we strapped in.

"So, how long does it take to get to Magic Kingdom with this?" I asked him.

"Not too long." Sebastian shook his head.

Once the conductor made sure everything was secure, he raised his thumb into the air as the roof overhead opened up. The glider began backing up and when it was far enough, the mechanics let it go, like a catapult as it launched up into the air.

With this being my first time riding on it, I yelped, shutting my eyes and tucking my legs in as we soared into the air.

"Avalyn, it's okay! Look!" Sebastian placed a hand on my shoulder.

I slowly opened my eyes to see us flying in the air. I gasped, looking back to see Epcot leaving us in the distance. I took a glance down, before looking on over a head. There was nothing but forest.

"Whoa...! This is--"

"Amazing right?" Sebastian grinned.

"Totally!" I smiled.

After flying for a few minutes, the land of Magic Kingdom could be seen. The view from the Soarin' glider was fantastic! It was just like the ride!

The glider circled around the land before heading off into Tomorrowland, making its descent into the station.

"Thank you for choosing Soarin', we hope you enjoyed the flight." A voice spoke over the loud speaker.

Me and Sebastian piled out as the two of us made our way out of the station and into Tomorrowland.

"Where to now Ace?" I teased.

"Follow my lead." He replied with a grin.

*******

Ben was waiting in the gym of Cinderella's Castle with Fairy Godmother. Sebastian was beginning to take a while. Where could he be?

"Sorry for making you wait Fairy Godmother." he apologized to the woman standing near him.

She wore a light purple robe with a hood, had white hair and blue eyes. "Oh it's fine deary."

Finally, there was a knock at the door as Sebastian and I entered the room, Ben sighing while placing his hands on his hips. "About time you got here."

"We took Soarin'. Even on its most emptiest days, you're still not impressed." Sebastian replied.

"Whatever. Let's not waste anymore time. Avalyn," Ben began as he waved his hand over to the old woman behind him. "I'd like you to meet, Fairy Godmother."

"Now Avalyn dear, the first and most important lesson when using your powers, is to use them only if its absolutely necessary." She explained. "So it's important to keep them in control."

"Keep them in control, got it." I nodded.

"Because if anyone from the real world were to see you use your magic, there could be some dire consequences." She added.

That made me freeze up. I stiffened, my eyes widening. "...Oh."

"Ava, what happened?" Ben asked, raising a brow as he placed his hands on his hips.

"Well... it's nothing, really!" I insisted.

"Ava, come on! Talk to us." Sebastian spoke. "It can't be that bad."

"Exactly! It's not that bad, in fact it's nothing at all!" I clapped my hands together, rubbing them nervously. "So, I say we should---"

"Avalyn Macht." Fairy Godmother spoke my name sternly.

That made me flinch as I slowly turned around to face her.

"What happened?" She asked me.

"...Okay, well, the thing is... a kid saw me teleport at Philharmagic."

"WHAT?!" Ben and Sebastian exclaimed with shock.

"He didn't say anything did he?" Fairy Godmother asked me with concern.

"Well, not exactly..." I bit my lip.

"Ava, what did you do?" Ben asked me, stepping forwards me.

"I kind of... bribed him." I admitted.

"And it worked?" Sebastian asked with hope in his eyes.

"Don't encourage her!" Ben yelped.

Sebastian raised his hands in defense as he turned and walked away from the blonde.

Fairy Godmother sighed as she stepped forward, tapping my shoulder. "Listen well child. You must be careful when you use your Kimunicator while teleporting. If someone were to see you, they could ask too many question, and could expose this place to the outside world."

"I'm sorry, it won't happen again." I assured her with a firm nod.

"From now on, teleport somewhere people won't be able to see you." She sighed before regaining focus. "Your first assignment, is to heal these items." Fairy Godmother explained. She waved her wand, and white streak of light soared from the wand, materializing various objects. "This will be good practice to help keep your powers in check."

I huffed, stretching my arms out and cracking my knuckles. "Alright, let's get to work."
