You poured some blood into the potion, making sure to get every drop

You suddenly felt a sharp pain in your side, it felt like something was burning through it

You paused when you realized what this meant, she was in trouble

You recited a spell that took you to her, you gasped as you saw her. She was laying, motionless in her dragon form with a sword sticking out of her

You couldn't believe it, you quickly wiped your tears and grabbed your spell book. You flipped through the pages quickly, looking for anything that could bring her back to life

"Yes!" you practically screamed as you found a spell, you were even happier when you read that it didn't require you to make a potion but you frowned when you saw something written in bold 'Only a true love kiss will bring them back'

'What kind of stupid fairytale thing is this!?' You thought, rereading the page to make sure you didn't miss something

You angrily closed the book, if that was the only way so be it. Even though you knew it wasn't going to work, you still walked up to her corpse and reluctantly kissed the scally skin. You cringed at the weird texture

'Of course, it didn't work, why did I think it would?' You sighed and turned to walk away, not noticing the beast's eyes open

"What happened, why are you here?" The beast slowly transformed back into Maleficent

You paused, it worked? It worked! But that would mean. . .

Maleficent stared at you, expecting an answer

"It's a long, stupid story and you look tired. I'll tell you later-" You tried to deflect the question

"What. Happened."

You jumped as she was suddenly right in front of you

You sighed and opened your spell book. You showed her the page and pointed to the words in bold

You both stood there, Maleficent wasn't expecting that. Especially since it was you who kissed her and it worked! You're her true love! Someone she wished for since she was a little girl

"I'm, I guess we should just go back to the more or something-" You were cut off by a pair of lips crashing against your own

You broke apart after a while and stood there, holding each other. The moonlight shining on your faces

"I never thought I would say this but. . .I love you" She whispered

"You love you too" you responded

You both got the ending you dreamed of-

"Ewww!" Diablo screeched

You laughed at Maleficent as she showed him away, maybe villains do get happy endings
