"These children are dangerous you shouldn't have let them back on the mainland!" Queen Cinderella shouted over the council. Last night the villains attacked Agrabah during the Summer Ball sending all the heroes into a tizzy trying to figure out how Galiana was able to travel from the island to the mainland with the barrier still surrounding the island.

"Carlos and I already told you our theory on how Galiana got to the mainland." Mal yells over the crowd.

"Why should we listen to you?" I heard another voice say.

"Because unlike you we actually think we know what's going on!" Carlos bangs his fist on the table.

"Easy there." Riley said putting her hand on Carlos' shoulder.

"See! Anger, we should banish them back to the Isle." Queen Aurora said pointing at both Mal and Carlos.

"They've already proven themselves to be true heroes and Queen Aurora weren't you shouting earlier about how your dress was ruined. Everyone gets angry, even heroes." Riley snaps back.

"Maybe we should banish you too." Queen Aurora fights back embarrassed.

"That is our daughter you're talking too." Queen Rapunzel steps in,

"She brings up some good points as well. You should listen to her." Mal said.

"Who are you to tell us what to do? Aren't you the daughter of Maleficent?" Queen Aurora said trying to gain support from the council.

"Blue Fairy." I cut in.

"I'm not sure." Mal says loud enough for most of the council to hear. Queen Aurora continues.

"Does it matter? You were born and raised on the Isle, dark magic probably floats through your veins. Are you supposed to tell me that you've suddenly turned good because your hair changed color and you're the forbidden daughter of one of the most powerful good fairies in the world?"

"I..I." Mal stutters.

"So who are you? The daughter of Maleficent or the Blue Fairy?" Someone towards the back yells out.

"I'm not sure." Mal looks to me for help but I'm frozen by the sudden altercation.

"Excuse me." Mal runs out of the council room defeated. As the doors close with a bang the whole room is silent. I lean over to Riley,

"Finish up the meeting I'm going to get Mal." I whisper before excusing myself and jogging after Mal. I can hear Riley talking in the background.

"Ok let me get us back on track by explaining how we think Galiana got on the island. The remote we found she was carrying is actually a transportation device that was designed to teleport people across the Island..." Riley's voice fades out.

"Mal? I call out. I run around my castle trying to figure out where she could have ran in the last minute. Being the King of the capitol had its perks from time to time. One being that every political meeting was downstairs next to the throne room.

"Where could she have gone?

I first tried Mal's favorite rooms in the castle: The library, west wing and the ballroom.

"Right." I said to myself, Mal can teleport, she probably teleported herself to her room. That or she was extremely fast. Within a couple of minutes I was at her bedroom door. I could hear sounds coming from the inside. I knock on the door.

"Mal?" I hear Mal curse before giving me permission to come in. I enter Mal's room, her room looked almost identical to mine except for blue decorations they were a dark purple. I look at Mal standing paralyzed with a towel wrapped around her head.

"What are you?"

"Don't be mad." Mal cuts me off.

"Why would I be mad...oh." Mal unwraps the towel from around her head and reveals her blonde hair now dip dyed purple at the ends.

"I used actual purple dye, no magic, so no enchanted water can take it off." She said quickly.

"Where did you get purple dye?" I asked.

"I asked Riley for a bottle last time we were in Corona."

"Oh...well it looks nice." I said walking over to her.

"Really?"

"Yeah. What made you do it?"

"Lately I've been feeling that certain people, not going to say who, are trying to fit me in a certain role. A villain, a hero, but I just want to be my own person and live my life the way I want to. None of this hero or villain business." Her eyes never left her shoes.

"Oh." Her words circle around my head. I've never been on a position like hers. All my life I knew I was good and I wasn't going to stray.

"This was a bad idea, I was just being impulsive." She moves toward the bathroom but I catch her hand.

"Don't. If you feel like this is who you are then keep it." I pull her into an embrace. I feel her on edge for a second before she relaxes in my arms.

"Thank you." I hear her muffled voice say.

Riley

The meeting ended more peacefully than I had imagined. We all seemed to reach an agreement of some sort before the meeting was adjourned. Outside the moon shone down on the polished castle steps. A slight breeze ruffled my dress as all the royal families were leaving, heading back to their own kingdoms. Carlos sits on the outside castle steps fiddling with the remote. I walk out of the castle front doors and sit down on the step next to him.

"That meeting went pretty well." Carlos said as we watch everyone head out the door.

"You would be an excellent Queen, you know how to handle a rowdy crowd of royals." Carlos puts his arm around me.

"Thank you. But shutting up a bunch of crazy kings and queens doesn't qualify me to become Queen there is so much more to the job. Besides Anxelin is the oldest, he's going to become King not me." I said.

"You never know." Carlos said. I slapped him on the arm.

"Ow! Be careful! I could have dropped the remote."

"Sorry!" I take the remote from him.

"I can't believe you actually helped build this." During the meeting Carlos described how he and his friends built these remotes to help themselves get around the Isle. Looking at it a second time Carlos discovered that they added tweaks to it.

"Yeah and now I have a month to disfigure it and figure out how they built version 2.0."

"I can't believe that the council gave you just a month to figure out how this works before you report back to them." I said handing the remote back.

"It's pretty simple actually..."

"Riley." My mother's voice cracks across the summer night air. I could see my father and brother sitting in our carriage waiting patiently.

"See you tomorrow?" I said standing up. I brush invisible dirt off my dress.

"Tomorrow?" Carlos' voice trails off.

"School?"

"Right." Carlos stands up to walk me to my carriage.

"I forgot that existed."

"It's not so bad." I said.

"Yeah, going to school in a foreign land where everything you were taught when you were younger is now evil is really easy."

"I'm sorry, I forget sometimes." Even though Carlos and Mal have only been here for a little under a year it seemed like they've been here forever.

"Rialynn." My mom stands with her hands on her hips.

"Coming!" I call back.

"I have to go." I said to Carlos.

"I'll see you later." He said. I wave goodbye as I climb into my carriage. Carlos waves back before exiting back inside.

Mal

I find myself standing in the throne room of the Evil Queen's castle.

"What?" I said to myself. I definitely went to bed at Ben's castle, I can remember Ben kissing me goodnight. Strange. I walk around the throne room. Unlike the warm happy feeling you get when you walk into a normal castle here on the mainland. The Evil Queen's castle felt dark and cold. The normal feeling for a building on the island, however it seemed like there was an extra layer of evil hovering over everything. I heard a sound to my left making me turn abruptly toward it. It came from outside the throne room in the main hallway that leads to the rest of the castle.

"Everything ready mom?" The door swings open revealing Evie following her mother. Both are wearing long blue dresses with matching black capes.

"Yes. I've sent the soldiers they should be there soon." With a wave of her hand the Evil Queen moved the dark blue curtain behind the two thrones that overlooked the whole hall, revealing the legendary magic mirror.

"Mirror mirror on the wall show me the soldiers who are doing it all." The mirror shimmers to show an army of skeletons surrounding a crumbling apartment building painted purple, and I knew exactly where they were. My surroundings shimmer until I am standing in front of my house watching as the skeletons break my down my front door. I run in phasing through the group of skeletons standing outside my door. Inside my house is empty, I watch as the skeletons scan the room before they start ransacking the place. Pots and pans were thrown through windows, furniture is ripped up. I try to find a moment of peace by running to my old room but I was too late. Skeletons were going through my drawers. I watch as old pictures of Evie, Carlos, Jay and I are ripped up and thrown around the room carelessly. I try to pick up my lost memories but the shredded pieces of paper just fall through my hands. I feel tears starting to form in my eyes as I mourn my old life. Suddenly the skeletons stop, they turn toward the door and walk in uniform down the stairs. I follow them through my now destroyed house down the stairs to the door that lead to the catacombs. The door is thrown open, I follow them downstairs to the cell where I was held last time I was physically on the island.

"I was wondering when this time was going to come." My mother stands in front of the cell looking off into the distance.

"Tell the Grimhilde that if she wants to take over as the next Queen of Evil, she needs to do her own dirty work." The skeletons proceed forwards only to be met by blasts of green energy. Those in front crumble into ash but more take their place. Even though my mother was clearly outnumbered, she held her own as she normally does.

The fight lasted for about ten minutes with my mother obliterating hundreds skeletons only to be met with what seemed like hundreds more.

"Ah!" My mother lets out a terrible scream as she shrinks to the floor. A skeleton holding a clear bottle stands over her I recognize that bottle from my last dream. The green liquid sinks into her skin. The skeletons wait for her to collapse before the swarm over her.

"Mother! Mother!" The catacombs fade around me leaving me screaming for my mother in my bedroom at Ben's castle.
