Chapter 2 *New*
*not edited*
Ben
I slammed the book down on the meeting table. All of the heroes present at the meeting jumped in surprised.
"So this is what you called an emergency meeting for Ben?" Queen Snow White addressed looking confused.
"No offense Belle but if your son called an emergency meeting over some stupid book he's going crazy." Prince Eric crossed his arms.
"I'm not going crazy your majesty just hear me out." I replied opening the book.
"This book contains the birth records of all the children of the heroes." I started, the council of Heroes looked at me in confusion.
"But also the children of the villains, I have made a proclamation that..." The dining hall room door slammed open, in walked Queen Rapunzel and King Eugene.
"Late as always." Queen Aurora commented. Rapunzel shot Aurora a glare before turning to me.
"Prince Ben It is our understanding that you are emitting the children of the most dangerous villains to Enchanted Academy to attend school along side our children." Rapunzel looked directly into my eyes. The room was silent for a few moments before the whole council erupted into a fit of rage. All the kings and queens of the kingdoms started shouting at me and asking my parents if I was truly fit to be king.
"Could everyone calm down!" My dad roared over the arguing.
"We have though over Ben's decision, though we don't agree with it. Ben needs to learn how to be a responsible King. It's not like their parents are coming to live here for nine months it's just their kids, what harm can they do." Belle told the council.
"The apple doesn't fall farm from the tree." Queen Snow shot back at my mother.
"Ben's right." The Blue Fairy said from her position at the other end of the table. "We should give these kids a chance."
"All in favor?" My dad asked around the room. Everyone stayed silent,
"All opposed?" The room stayed silent.
"Great! I'll call the fairy godmother so she can transfer the kids to the mainland." My dad left the room.
"Speaking of transferring, Ben the car is waiting outside for you." My mom said pointing to the clock on the left wall. It read ten; I was supposed to be present on the school campus by ten thirty.
"Meeting adjourned?" I asked, everyone grumbled. I took that as a yes and I sprinted to the door. I burst open the castle doors to find a limo with the family crest embedded on the side. The driver opened door and I threw myself inside.
"How'd the meeting go?" I looked up to see Isabelle dressed in her school uniform along with Marc who already changed into the required uniform for Enchanted Academy. I'll change when I get to school.'
"Boring." I replied trying to end the conversation.
"Are you sure? There was a lot of screaming and shouting from the dining hall." Marc said his voice muffled from behind a new book.
"It's fine Marc. You'll understand when we get to school." I said rolling my eyes at my younger brother.
"You highnesses we have arrived at Enchanted Academy." The driver said,
"I can't wait until I go here." Isabelle said looking sad; she had to attend a school that was about ten miles away.
"You'll attend here soon." I reassured Isabelle.
"Four years, that's too long! EA beats Royal Prep any day." She sulked in her seat. The driver pulled up to the school's front gate. It opened; history was going to change forever.
Mal
"Get up Mal!" I heard my mother shriek. I pulled myself up, looking out my window I saw all the kids dragging large suitcases towards the beach where a crowd of kids and their parents were gathered. In the corner of my room there was a large black suitcase.
"Right," I said out loud "Enchanted Academy." Using my magic I got dressed, put on my makeup, and did my hair in a high ponytail. I dragged my suitcase down my crooked wooden stairs.
"So you know what you have to do." My mother said to me as I reached the landing.
"Get to Ben, get inside his head, and take over the kingdom." I replied repeating the steps my mother assigned to me previously.
"Good, your friends are waiting for you outside." I rolled my eyes as I rolled my suitcase out the door.
"And Mal?" I turned and looked back at my mother.
"Stay bad." I nodded at her last piece of advice before catching up to Evie who was fifty yards ahead of me. She was with the huntsman who had two large suitcases on his back. Evie of course was checking her manicure while the huntsman stumbled behind her. Using my magic I levitated my suitcase and ran after Evie.
"Evie!" I called; she turned around and waved to me.
"Cute outfit." She said as I approached her. I joined her on her journey to the beach where the kids were supposed to be picked up by the fairy godmother to be taken to Enchanted Academy.
"So do you know how we're even going to get to the mainland?" She asked me checking her already perfect manicure.
"I don't know, we'll soon find out." I replied. Long ago when the island was first created there were five bridges that connected this island to the mainland. Each of these bridges led to one of the different kingdoms that surrounded the island. Each kingdom symbolized and ruled over a different terrain type that blocked the island from the capitol. Corona ruled over the forest, Agrabah ruled over the desert, Atlantica the Sea and of course the capitol, the center of the mainland. Evie and I reached the beach where all the kids were waiting. The huntsman struggled to put down Evie's humongous bags. Evie and I found Jay sitting in the sand with Carlos.
"I wonder how the heroes' kids dress." Carlos asked Jay who rolled his eyes obviously bored.
"Evie, Mal!" Jay half yelled, extremely happy to see the two of us.
"How are you..."
"Attention!" We heard a loud but soft voice say from the sky. Everyone on the beach looked up to see an old woman in a blue robe descend from the sky. Her little cyrillian wings fluttered as she landing on the black sand.
"Children of the villains. Welcome to your journey to the mainland." The Fairy Godmother waived her wand and at the waters edge a glowing white portal opened up.
"I guess that's how we'll get there." I whispered to Evie.
"Who wants to go first?" The Fairy Godmother asked. Everyone looked at me, I guess being the daughter of the leader of the villains automatically makes you the leader of everything else. Taking a deep breath I stepped forwards.
"I'll take your suitcase dear." The Fairy Godmother used her wand to raise my suitcase up and in an instant it disappeared. I gave the Fairy Godmother a look and she explained it to me.
"I sent your bag to your room at the school now hurry up." Following her orders I stepped into the portal. It felt like my insides were being squeezed out and re-arranged. My hair blew in my face as I landed hard on the floor. Floor? Where am I? I stood up and looked around. I was in an office of some kind. The wooden walls and furniture sparkled as if they had just been clean. Blue curtains were tied up by the windows. I turned around to see a fireplace with a glowing white portal inside where normally the wood would be.
"Ow!" I yelled out as I felt someone fall on top of me.
"Mal! Great now my clothes are dirty!" Evie got up off of me and shook the soot out of her clothes and hair.
"Where are we?" She asked me.
"Welcome!" I heard a tiny voice say. I looked around but found no one in the room.
"Down here!" Evie and I looked down to see a small cricket on the ground near the fireplace. He used his umbrella to fly up onto his desk where Evie and I could see him better.
"Welcome to Enchanted Academy. What are you names?" The cricket asked us.
"I'm Mal daughter of Maleficent." I said surprised I was talking to a cricket.
"I'm Evie daughter of the Evil Queen."
"Well Mal and Evie I'm Jiminy Cricket the Principal of EA and outside in the main office is where you'll find everything you need to get around the campus. Now you better go before it starts to get cramped in here." As soon as Jiminy Cricket said that Jay and Carlos came tumbling out of the fireplace arguing. I grabbed Evie as we headed out into the world of heroes.
Riley
"Thanks Anxelin for ditching me!" I called out to my brother as he walked away. He turned around and waved to me. I rolled my eyes and looked at the folder I got in the mail. Inside the folder I found my school schedule, dorm assignments and information about the Magical powers training class. Everyone who had magical powers was required to take that class. Looking at my room assignments I saw that my house was called Snow Hall. Following the signs around the school. I crossed the bridge that lead to the dorm rooms. Still looking at my folder I accidentally ran into another girl who was also looking down at her own folder. The other girl dropped her bag spilling her personal belongings all over the stone pathway.
"I'm so sorry." I said helping the girl with her stuff. I looked up at the girl. I could spot her dark red hair from anywhere.
"Claire?" Her blue eyes looked at me.
"Riley?" We both squealed and hugged each other. Claire and I had been best friends since the beginning. We both shared the same birthday; we've been in the same class since kindergarten and our kingdoms were next to each other making us extremely close.
"Melody abandon you?" I asked her. Claire was the younger daughter of Queen Ariel and King Eric. Melody was the same age as Anxelin even though they weren't friends they were forced to talk to each other when Claire's family came over for dinner.
"Yeah she ran off with her friends guess it's first day excitement." Claire said as we continued our walk to Snow Hall, which was the freshman dormitory.
"What room are you in?" Claire asked me.
"516." I replied
"Same!"
"That means we're roommates!" I said giving her a big smile as we arrived at Snow Hall. The bright blue building shone in the sunlight. It looked like the building was coated with frost.
"It looks like Queen Elsa's ice castle." I said to Claire who agreed as we entered into the lobby.
"Wow." I said to Claire who couldn't even hear me. The lobby was full of both boys and girls talking to one another. There were a couple of school assistants walking around directing students to the proper rooms. I heard one of the assistants shout over the crowd.
"Boys stay in the main building. Girls follow me!" Claire and I shrugged and followed the lady down an open hallway where we exited through a pair of sliding glass doors. We followed the lady through a gazebo walkway and into another building painted the same light blue as the original building. As we entered through another set of sliding glass doors we emerged into a common room with elevators on the right side.
"Listen up girls! Your room numbers are already listed in your folders. The first number is the number of what floor you are on. Welcome to your home for the next nine months." With that the lady exited the building leaving us girls to fight our way to the elevators. Claire and I got into one of the first elevators. We crammed ourselves into the corner of the shiny golden elevator with a bunch of girls in our grade.
"Hey Claire!" I turned to see a red haired girl with pale skin and freckles squished against Claire.
"Evanna, hi!" Evanna the daughter of Merida. She shared her mother's gift of expert marksman ship with a bow and arrow. But was also very girly unlike her mother who was known for her tomboyish personality. The elevator dinged signaling that we had arrived at the first floor. A bunch of girls got out making it a little easier to breathe.
Claire, Evanna and I continued small talk as the elevator preceded to the fifth floor. Soon enough Claire, Evanna and I stumbled out of the elevator.
"What's your room number."
"515" Evanna answered taking another look at her folder.
"That's right next to us." I said. Evanna, Claire and I followed the signs down to our rooms. I heard another elevator ding and the chatter of more girls trying to find the way to their own rooms.
Claire and I arrived at our door. The large oak door had a piece of paper taped to it with our names written carefully in perfect spiral writing. Evanna was across the hall paired with Melia, the daughter of Hercules and Megara.
"Bye Evanna." Claire said, I waved goodbye as Claire and I opened our door. The room took my breath away. Inside there was separate sitting room complete with a couch and two chairs. At the far end of the room a sliding glass door lead to a balcony that looked over the garden and the various ice sculptures. There were two doors next to the sliding glass door. Both lead to a separate bedroom. Claire called the one on the right so I walked through the left door. The bedroom was bigger than the sitting room. A large canopy bed was against the back wall. Two other doors lead to a bathroom and a closet.
"Riley?" I heard Claire call
"Yeah?"
"Our luggage is at the door." Claire said poking her head into my room.
"Great." I followed Claire to the front door that was propped open. Claire dragged her own suitcases inside while I waited for my turn.
"So did you see our new uniforms." She asked me
"Uniforms?"
