Chapter 1- Halloween Town

"Plink! Plink! Oh where did that useless child go now?" A shrill voice screamed rummaging through the graveyard. "I hope she didn't break anything just to fix it into something joyful again." The ghost mumbled.

A fragile framed teenage girl ducks behind the nearest gravestone attempting to hide. She knows if she gets caught skipping school again it will be the death of her. Pondering if the death would be better she sits in the dirt her black and white tutu now changed to a shade of brown. Finally she decides the punishment was better than simply hiding all day and avoiding people.

"I'm right here Maria." she sighs standing slowly and dusting herself off.

"What am I going to do with you child!" The ghost formally known as Maria scolds.

"You could just send me back to pixie hallow!" Plink squealed her eyes lighting up.

"Your father would have my head for sending away his only daughter." Maria scoffed

"Dang it. Well it was worth a shot." Plink mumbled.

"What was that, deary? You really must speak up when talking to me." Maria yelled.

Plink sighs,"I said I wanna go back to school now."

"Oh no, school's out. So you won't get that luxury today and your father is too busy getting plans in order. So I'm afraid you will simply have to come home with me." Maria states simply dragging Plink by the ear out of the graveyard and down the street to her small house.

Maria's house is one that may be small in stature, but it's two stories hold many rooms for the other four ghosts and a spare room that Plink sleeps in for now. Plink trudges up the stairs smiling as she passes the four other ghosts of the house who only return the cheer with glares. As she reaches her room she hears her father walk in the door and knows that this will not end well.

"Plink! Where are you darling? Sally says you skipped school again today!" she slips through the door as she hears the disappointment in his voice. She knows he means well, but this place will never be home.

"Hey dad!" She greets as he opens her door with a grin. His tall skeletal body forcing him to duck through the door frame.

"Plink, why do we have to go through this every week? Don't you like it here?" His face showing his concern as he sits on the edge of her creaky bed.

"Sure, dad. It's wonderful here!" She grins sarcastically.

"Just checking sweetie. Good talk, now I must have to get back to work my busy time is approaching you know!" Her father grins patting his daughters silvery white hair as he races out the door and down the stairs.

"I wish he understood sarcasm sometimes..." Plink sighs as she locks her door.

Author's note:

Okay so I'm not very good at first chapters, but I hope y'all like it. She's our first mix up and as confusing as she is the next is a little more different still. Just a heads up, every chapter will switch back and forth between the two for a while.
