Temporarily cancelled
I am going to Worcester State now for my master's and I have gotten involved in some clubs even though most grad students don't usually get involved. I can't help it. That is the way I am. I don't like missing anything and want to take every opportunity I can. Back when I was at Salem State, my third year I was with InterVarsity (A Christian club on campus) and because of them I went on a spring break trip to Louisiana. I wouldn't have been able to go there with my parents because traveling to a further state like that is expensive and hard to do. We went for Habitat with Humanity which was great. I love getting to help people. Then my 4th year, I was involved with the Community Service Initiative and did the same thing but this time in Missouri. It was nice getting to make a difference two years in a roll. Both trips I had to save for and managed to save on my clipper card so I can go both times and bring some spending money with me too. Last year with Kiva I was able to go to Texas for a Mental health conference which was also exciting.
At Worcester State, I had gotten involved with the Christian Fellowship. They are going on a trip for Spring break too, so I am really excited for that. I'm not Christian but I like going to these groups because I like meeting new people and staying open. This year they are going to Puerto Rico but it's not with Habitat. It's a mission trip. I am a little disappointed in that because I was hoping they would do what Salem State would do. I feel that service trips do better than spreading the word of God, there are people that needs help down there because they get a lot of hurricanes and believing in God isn't going to help them. But I still really want to go even though it's a mission trip because I really want to go to Puerto Rico. It cost $1,000 so now I am trying to safe for this trip, but this time around is harder because I have a lot of streaming sites now than I did back when I was in Salem, and I have been helping with some bills so even with two jobs it takes a lot of my paychecks. I decided for now, to save money I will be cancelling some of my streaming sites, temporarily until after I pay for the trip. I hope this is worth it. I have cancelled Netflix Sunday and will have that until the 18th and yesterday I cancelled both Disney+ after finishing Ahsoka and Hulu after finishing Only Murders in the Building. I still have Disney until the 19th and Hulu until November so I will be doing reviews until then.
I hope I get to go to Puerto Rico.
