Jack's POV

My back cramped up as a laid on the tree branch that Monday morning. I had just woken up and pain went through my spine. I groan as I sit up to stretch. No I did not run away from home to show independence and all that. I didn't have a home or even a family because they all died. I lived wherever my body took me and I wasn't going into some foster home that's for sure. So I'm on my own, day and day out and slept in the branches of tall trees just as I was doing now. I never said it's comfortable. My shoulder ached, sore laying on the hard wooden tree all night. But I was a tough guy. I could deal with it because that's how life is.

I closed my eyes listening to the birds chirping. The water rushing in the stream just near by....

Argh. I'm dozing off. Probably because of the lack of sleep I've been getting. Then something wakes me up. Was that humming? I look down and see Rapunzel humming a little tune, picking flowers along the way down a trail. I smiled. She always took this trail to get to school and I was always there to watch her. Hey I'm not a stalker. I just..watch her everyday on her way to school without her knowing. Totally different thing.

I jumped from branch to branch watching her hum her own little song picking different kinds of tiny flowers. It was kind of cute. Like a little kid almost. She giggled at her secret thoughts locked away without giving me the key. What was going on in that brain of hers? Only one can know.

I hop down from a branch right next to her. I give her a smile, "Hey Punzie." Rapunzel smiled back at me, "Hey Jack." I put my arm around her which made her blush. It's great to know she liked me other than Elsa who just hides herself. I unintentionally yawn as we walked down the path. Punzie looked up at me, "Tired?" I nod, "You would be to if you had to sleep in a tree every night." She laughed, "Not too tired for the Prom on Wednesday, right?"I take my arm off her shoulder and stretch it out, "No way! I'm gonna party all night." She smiled shyly, "Cool." I frowned then. I knew she wanted me to ask her to go. I could tell by the tone in her voice and her forcefulness on the subject. I would but...I still had feelings for Elsa. I needed to figure that out first.

I wanted to change the subject. I looked back at her long locks dragging on the grassy road. I ask pointing at it, "Don't you think your hair is going to be covered in grass and dirt by the time we get to school?" She grabs a little bit of her hair and somewhat hugs it, "I know right! I've always thought that every time I walked somewhere but it never gets dirty." I smirk, "Movie magic." She laugh which makes me smile.

We finally made it to school and I could tell some people were looking at us. I liked the attention. Rapunzel said bye to me and headed over to Anna who looked to be flirting with Andy. All well. I turn and see Elsa looking away from me. I decide to go talk to her because I was yet again alone.

Elsa's POV

I saw Jack walking towards the school with Rapunzel and envy rushed through me. I know I said I was backing off of Jack, but my feelings took over. When I saw Rapunzel leave and Jack turning towards me, I looked away. I didn't want him knowing I was staring at him. Then I realized he was coming over and I cross my arms. He smirked leaning on his staff, "Hey, Snowflake." That twisted on my heart. Snowflake was his nickname for me and when we were still dating. Yeah he called me that now but I was tensed up. I greet coldly, "Frost." He pulled back a little bit, maybe surprised how I responded. He just smirked, "Getting icy, are we?" I look away as he levitates sideways putting his hands behind his head. He looked cute when he did that. I tried not to smile and huffed away. I couldn't take it.

Jack's POV

Wow, she was heated this morning. I don't understand what her deal is. I just shrugged my shoulders and head inside the school when the bell rang.
