Facts 2071-2100

So I finally got the chance to see Million Dollar Arm last weekend, and it was great! There were some really funny and enjoyable parts in it.

Anyways, as I am making this update, there is a guy outside my classroom playing 'When You Wish Upon A Star' on the trumpet! xD

On to the facts!

Fact #3076 (Story by employee)

I had an evening shift at the 'It's a Small World' store. During the fireworks, we had to stay in the store with the metal screens pulled down. It was pitch dark and we had a table of 'Tickle Me Elmos'. Every time a firework went off, the store would shake and the 'Tickle Me Elmos' would laugh and fall off the table.

Fact #3077 (Story by employee)

When I worked at one of the quick service places at one of the resorts, I got suspended for a week because I threw a french fry in a culinary cast member's eye.

Fact #3078

While interacting with the park's costumed characters, a San Diego-area family said the White Rabbit from Alice in Wonderland acted coldly to their 6- and 9-year-old kids. The rabbit reportedly wouldn't touch the boys, and allegedly turned its back on the youngest. The Blacks, who are African-American, hung around to see if the rabbit's actions were unique to them. When a white family approached, the rabbit was supposedly warm, eager, and patient. "He started hugging him, kissing the girl, and hugging the boy, and they were white," the Blacks' 9-year-old said. The Blacks took their photos as well as photos of the other family and filed a complaint with Disneyland officials. The family said they were initially offered VIP tickets. When they turned those down, the park allegedly offered $500 in exchange for signing a confidentiality agreement, which the Blacks also refused. With no resolution, the Blacks hired a lawyer and are demanding a public apology from Disneyland and for the employee in question to be fired. Disneyland has yet to respond to the family's requests, but released a statement saying, "we carefully review all guest claims.

Fact #3079

After conducting tests on the park over the course of a year, three environmental and health advocacy groups reportedly found high amounts of lead in 65 brass fixtures, including the popular Peter Pan's flight. While not lethal, the amount of lead in brass objects including railings and chains could be harmful to children, particularly the very young. In a statement, Disney called the claims "baseless." The groups filed a lawsuit in April 2011 seeking to force the park to comply with the state's toxic-chemical notification law. Disney maintains it is not in violation of the law but could not otherwise comment specifically.

Fact #3080

The producers of Frozen started a whole lot of buzz when a fan asked them on Reddit if the Little Mermaid/Frozen/Tangled theory was true. Their response? That the Arrendelle king and queen didn't die in the wreck, but actually escaped to an island, had a son, and were killed by a leopard. That means that Elsa and Anna's parents survived the wreck, lived in the jungle, and had another son! Tarzan!

Fact #3081

Tumblr users came up with the idea that Jane is actually Belle and Beast's granddaughter, their reasoning being that they look so much alike. It was also pointed out that Jane could understand Tarzan, who was kind of animal-like or beast-like, just as well as Belle understood Beast. Also, it would totally explain why these plates and pots, the same ones from Beauty & The Beast could be seen at her camp.

Fact #3082

Mother Gothel from Tangled is the same person as the Evil Queen from Snow White. First of all, just look at the physical similarities! Secondly, Mother Gothel has a dagger in a box, which looks a lot like the dagger in the box that the Evil Queen gives to the Huntsman. Both women are completely obsessed with beauty and staying young, too. Lastly, look at the similarities between them when they turn old and haggard.

Fact #3083

In Wreck It Ralph, ou can even see a "Missing Dog" poster during Ralph's meeting with the other villians. That missing dog? It's Bolt.

This theory suggests that Carl Fredricksen passes away peacefully in his sleep on the night before he's supposed to go to the retirement home. Then, the rest of the plot is his dream/"adventure" toward finding Ellie in the afterlife.

Fact #3085

It's a blink-and-miss-it moment, but during the 1977 Disney movie The Rescuers, a photo of a topless woman can be seen in the background during the scene where Bernard and Bianca are flying through the city in a sardine can. Disney didn't deny this one, and a spokesperson said that the tampering "was done more than 20 years ago." The company had to recall the home video version of The Rescuers in 1999.

Fact #3086

They've never actually seen Frozen, but Generations Radio co-hosts Kevin Swanson and Steve Vaughn argued that Frozen indoctrinates homosexuality and bestiality. While feminists have praised the movie for not succumbing to the princess-meets-prince archetype, Swanson believes the House of Mouse is secretly try to push its left-wing agenda on the masses.

I asked her to open it again and she refuses. I asked her one more time and she did. There was a baby in the backpack.

Fact #3090 (Story from employee)

I worked a ride in Animal Kingdom a long time ago. Saw a 8-10 foot long snake emerge from an area with lots of plants and bushes. It slowly works it's way through a line of about 200 people. Weaving it's way through people's legs, strollers, bags, etc...then it just casually slips back into another wooded area.

Fact #3092 (Story from employee)

I was Silvermist, and we were meeting our last family of the night in Pixie Hollow. Tinkerbell, Rosetta & I were having fun with this little girl who was about 5. Her mom was with her, & the girl was being silly & running around laughing at us & talking a lot. You take individual pictures with the fairies, but we decided to ask if she wanted a special picture with all three of us. We stood together, and the mom said "Stand between them!" The little girl all of a sudden got really shy, and ran to her mom and hid. Her mom said "Oh no, are you being a little stinker? I know, if you give mommy a lick will you feel better?" The little girl nodded & smiled. She then proceeded to lick her mom's face, from her chin to her forehead. She laughed, her mom laughed, and Tinkerbell, Rosetta, & me are standing there horrified. The little girl happily walked over to us & took the picture after she did it.

Fact #3093 (Story from employee)

Pocahontas is pretty difficult, just because she was a real person that a majority of children learn about in school. So it was always hard to try & change the conversation about why I'm standing there talking to them & not dead. One time a little british boy said to me "MY CLASS VISITED YOUR GRAVE LAST YEAR!"

Fact #3094

Back when Toontown was still in the Magic Kingdom, there were three Princess rooms. One Cinderella, Aurora, & Belle in each one. If all three rooms were operating, that means when the girls went on break, other girls would replace them. So there were a total of six Cinderellas around the area at a time. None of the guests know this because there are attendants to take them into each room, one group at a time. So a group of thirty will go into room one, thirty go into room two, etc.

Fact #3095 (Story from employee)

t the end of my last day of training we were told to stay in costume and that we had a VIP to come and do a meet and greet. Me and the rest of my training group, begrudgingly hung around drenched in sweat and exhausted wondering who we'd be seeing. A cute and shy 7 year old brunette girl came in with a 50 something older woman. She didn't say anything but went around and gave us all hugs and high fives and the like, occasionally flashing a small timid smile. after a couple pictures she just turned to us and said "Thank you for playing with me." Immediately after she said this the older woman began bawling and they were escorted out of the room. We were all pretty perplexed and a little freaked out by the whole thing. When out trainer came back she said "Ok, so heres the deal" and explained to us what just happened. Apparently the little girl was in a car accident 3 years earlier. Her father was driving and her younger sister and brother were in the back seat. Her younger siblings were killed but her and her father survived. A year later her father killed himself because of the grief and guilt from feeling responsible for killing his children. Shortly after her mother was committed to a mental institution. The little girl had been given to her grandmother and was undergoing counseling. "Thank you for playing with me." were the first words she said in the 2 years since her father killed himself.

Fact #3096 (Story from employee)

The best cute kid story is a make a wish girl I met. She was 6 years old and almost blind from her condition, but she could see if you were close enough. I spent hours with her on 3 different days that she was there. The last day the mother was sobbing and telling me how I was her daughters angel and how they were so happy she got to see me before she lost all sight. She asked if Alice could join them at the character dinner. In a wonderful disney fashion my managers said NO, Alice could not extend her hours into character dining. So I said **** it, got out of costume, went and bought her an Alice doll and went to the dinner as myself to give her the doll. I figured she was almost blind and would have no clue I was alice without all the blue. I approached the mother at dinner who instantly started bawling and hugging me, I gave the little girl the alice doll and told her I was Alice's friend. I gave the mother my contact info and kept in touch with the family. The little girl passed away shortly after but the mother sent me a beautiful photo of her daughter and I walking down a path holding hands. She also sent me a silver angel that hangs on my wall. I was told they buried her with the alice doll.
