Let's get moving shall we?

Fact #1321

Pixar credits its sucess to its "Anti-Disney approach", meaning no songs, no happy village, no love story.

Fact #1322

In Hercules, the main character with the same name is the only character in the film who's name is not Greek. Hercules is actually Roman.

Fact #1323

Kovu, who is a character in The Lion King II: Simba's Pride, means Scar in Swahili.

Fact #1324

Have you ever noticed that at the end of "A Whole New World", Aladdin and Jasmine are at the Forbidden Palace with fireworks going off. What if it was the same night Mulan saved China?

Fact #1325 (Story by Disney Employee)

One night I witnessed 'tinkerbell' get stuck on her wire above the castle during the fireworks show in '05. She/he almost got burned up by those fireballs during the Indiana Jones portion of the show. They eventually turned off the spotlight on her and she just hung there until they were able to reel her in back to the Matterhorn.

Fact #1326 (Story by Disney Employee)

One day, a kid had ate a bunch of pasta with marinara and then promptly threw it all up right in front of the entrance to Big Thunder Mountain. It was a huge pile of watery barf, easily 2 feet wide and 3 feet long. So we called custodial, and set up a couple of trash cans to do our best to block the area off so people couldn't step in it. This dude, wearing all white (white shirt, shorts, shoes) comes running down the path from the exit of the ride to try and get back into the line as soon as he can. We tried to yell at him to stop running, but it was too late. He thought he would be a super cool guy and jump between the trash cans. He didn't count on there being a river of barf. So he jumps, lands in the barf and his legs slip out from under him, and he falls/rolls into all the red marinara barf. It took him a few seconds to comprehend what had just happened, but he eventually let out a blood curdling scream.

Fact #1327 (Story by Disney Employee)

On the Jungle Cruise, they loaded a boat and sent it out into the jungle, as normal. The skipper got about half way through the trip and out of nowhere, this Korean lady started screaming at the poor guy sitting in front of her. The skipper tried to calm the lady down, but she kept screaming and yelling at him in Korean. Then, she full on attacks him. She lunged at him with claw hands and started scratching at his face and kicking him. He was doing his best to fend her off, but she was on him. When things like this happen, it's what we called a "four shot". The skipper loads 4 rounds into the pistol, fires them all to alert the other boats in the jungle, and hopefully the people on the dock, then radios into the dock that they are having a medical/security issue. Then they just book it as fast as that boat can go back into the dock. The dock stops loading and just sends everyone ahead of the boat into the jungle so that the emergency boat can come right in. So skipper gets the boat into the dock, and when she rounded the corner, basically half the people on her boat were trying to hold this lady down while the guy she attacked was cowering in the back bleeding. Luckily, security had arrived and medical shortly after. It took 3 security officers to eventually subdue the lady, while medical services strapped her down to a gurney. After they had her secured, they escorted her backstage behind tomorrowland to an ambulance. Eventually they got a translator and tried to talk to her and her family, and it turns out that the lady was schizophrenic and had decided that she wasn't taking her medication that day so she could try to better enjoy the park. She just happened to have an episode in the middle of the jungle, and the poor dude sitting in front of her got all the wrath.

Fact #1328 (Story by Disney Employee)

I did the college program twice, both times as a character performer. Once as Frozone, just after my line was closed, a make-a-wish family came over and of course me and Mr Incredible posed for lots of pictures and signed everything they had. One father who had just been told he couldn't see us started complaining really loudly and making a scene and asking where he can get one of these magic passes that the make-a-wish family had. The father of the make-a-wish family turned to the dad and calmly said to him "I'll trade you this pass for the last twelve months of my son's chemotherapy".

Fact #1329 (Story by Disney Employee)

Dude was with his kid in line at Disneyland, they are next up to get on the ride, waiting for a long time because the line was long. At that moment one of the "make a wish kids" or other program and parent comes up and the cast member lets them jump in front of dude #1. He says "Hey, we've been in line for almost an hour, what's up?". The cast member answers "Sir this child is in a special program for children with serious health problems." The cast member was snotty (actually just a tiny little bit) -- I'm sure she hears those complaints all the time, so I don't blame her. All of us around the dude heard the exchange too, and we were getting ready to say something to him, but then... the Dude immediately said "Oh my goodness, I didn't know", then (to the kid) "What's your name, son?" the kid goes "Joel", and the dude starts chanting "Go Joel! Go Joel! Come on, son (to his own kid) Go Joel!" -- pretty soon we were all chanting it. Dude goes, "Just let him stay in that seat as many times as he wants to ride! We'll wait!" One of the coolest things I've ever seen.

Fact #1330 (Story by Disney Employee)

A woman was dressed as Snow White in the parks, belligerently drunk and pretending to be the character by signing autographs and taking pictures with people. She was escorted out by the PD and caused a huge scene and resisted arrest. There's a photo hung up backstage in one of the parks of it.

Fact #1334 (Story by Disney Employee)

It was about 45 minutes before closing at Disney’s Animal Kingdom and I was working the guest relations window.  A younger couple approached the window and explained that they had left his girlfriends purse at the camera shop right inside the park. I told them that I would let them in to go to the shop to get the purse. Normally I would have only allowed one of them in but it was a ghost town and not that big of a deal. I told them to go to the turnstile and ask the main entrance Cast Member to look over and I would wave them in since I was by myself and unable to walk them in. They walked to the other end of the turnstiles and spoke with the Cast Member who then looked over at me for the signal and I waved to go ahead and let them in. At this time a security Cast Member came to the window, as they usually did in the evenings, and I explained what was going on with the couple. Not because I did not trust them, but because there was nothing else to talk about. The two guests entered the park and I watched them as they walked past cash control, then strollers and wheelchairs and then the camera shop. What? Wait. They were supposed to go to the camera shop to get the purse. I stood up and witnessed them walk about a dozen steps past the camera shop and give each other a high five as they continued to walk into the Oasis. I jumped up and told the security Cast Member to come with me and we ran out through the front and met them halfway through the Oasis. I asked them if they got the purse OK and they looked at each other like deer in headlights. I then said “Now that you have your belongings we can help you find the exit as we agreed upon.” Security walked them out of the park. No ticket. No purse. No sneaking in the park.

Fact #1335

A man once complained that a piece of rock fell from the ceiling of the “cave” and hit him on the forehead in Pirates of the Caribbean.

Fact #1336

A guest complained at Spaceship Earth that something was burning and on fire. The Cast Member asked if they actually saw flames. The guest said no but could smell the smoke. Before the Cast Member sprang into action he asked if the guests remembered about where in the ride he could smell the smoke. He said he only smelled it around the area where Rome was burning.

Fact #1349 (Story by Disney employee)

I have recently been working at the load area in the new Space Mountain at Disneyland. One day, when I was directing people to certain rows, a teenager walked behind me and elbowed me in my back really hard. I think it was because I put him and his friend in the back of the rocket. Later in the evening, the same guy came back. This time, when he walked past me, I stuck my foot out and tripped him. All of his friends laughed at him. I said, “Excuse me” in a sarcastic voice.
