Zack Martin Imagine (Suite Life On Deck
This one was requested by my gorgeous best friend, AWriterCalledJessxx. I'm not sure if this is exactly what you wanted, but I hope you like it babe 😘
You took a deep breath as you walked with your older sister, Polly up the walkway to board the SS Tipton, the boat that you would be spending the next four years or so on. Your parents had tragically passed away a month ago and Polly, who was now your legal guardian, thought that studying overseas would be good for you. She figured that being away from home, the place that reminded you of your parents the most, would help you get over your grief. Not immediately, of course, but over time.
"I'm scared, Polls, what if no one likes me? What if I end up a loner for the rest of high school?" You stressed.
"You won't, Prim. Anyone would be lucky to be friends with you, and if it's really that bad, you can come home, okay?" She comforted you. You didn't say anything, you just nodded. Polly stayed with you while you got signed in and everything and were given your schedule and cabin number and all that. You also met your teacher, Miss Tutweiller for the first time. Soon, though, Polly had to leave.
"You'll be fine, Prim." She reassured you.
"I hope so." You sighed, as she pulled you into a hug. Your eyes filled with tears when you finally pulled away.
"Hey, you don't need to cry. You'll see me again before you know it." She said.
"I know, it's just hard." You sniffled, wiping away your tears as Polly smiled sadly at you. After saying goodbye one last time, she left and you were left all by yourself. You stood in the middle of the skydeck for a few minutes, looking a little lost, before you decided to go and find your cabin. However, as you turned, you crashed into someone and dropped all the papers in your hands, as well as your bags.
"Hey, watch where you're-" The blonde guy who bumped into you was about to yell, but then he saw your beautiful face and stopped himself, "I mean, sorry. Let me help you."
"Thanks. Sorry for bumping into you..." You awkwardly trailed off as he handed you your schedule and one of your suitcases.
"It's fine, really. I'm Zack, by the way." He introduced himself.
"I-I'm Primrose, but you can call me Prim." You shyly replied.
"A pretty named for a pretty girl." He winked. You felt your cheeks go red as a guy who looked identical to Zack walked over.
"Zack, what are you doing?!" He snapped at Zack, "I'm sorry about my idiotic brother, he flirts with every girl he meets." Okay, that stung a little. You actually felt special for a moment but it turns out you're just one of many that Zack hits on.
"It's okay." You forced a smile.
"I'm Cody, by the way." Zack's twin gave you a bright smile and stuck his hand out.
"I'm Primrose, but you can call me Prim." You told him what you told Zack, shaking his hand.
~A Week Later~
It had been a week since you boarded the SS Tipton and it wasn't as scary as you thought; you even had friends. Zack and Cody introduced you to their friends, Bailey, London and Woody and you were now part of their little group. You were still pretty shy and withdrawn around them, though. It would take you a while to become completely comfortable.
Today wasn't the best day, though, because exactly a month ago was the day your parents died. You didn't want to face the world so you spent the entire day in your cabin, going through old pictures. Luckily it was Saturday so you didn't have to be in class. At around 4 pm, someone knocked on your cabin door.
"Come in." You said only just loud enough, not really thinking much of it. The door opened to reveal Zack.
"Hey, we haven't seen you all day and... Have you been crying?" He frowned, walking further into the room.
"No, I-I'm sick and it's made my eyes run." You lied, hoping your thick voice didn't give it away.
"Who are they?" Zack then noticed the pictures scattered around you on the bed and sat down on the edge so he could have a look.
"My parents." You told him, trying to ignore the lump forming in your throat.
"Oh, cool. What are they like?" He wondered.
"They were... amazing. They were the best parents I could've ever asked for." You said, your voice shaking.
"Were?" Zack looked up at you and frowned when he saw the tears in your eyes, "Are you okay?"
"Yeah, um, it's just my parents... they're dead." You confessed, letting a tear fall, "They died a month ago today." You probably should've thought twice before spilling everything to Zack; you'd heard all about how much of a player he was and how he could be a little insensitive at times, and you didn't want to get hurt, but you needed someone to talk to and he was right there.
"I'm so sorry." He reached forward and put his hand over yours. You couldn't hold it in anymore, you let out a sob and put you hand over your mouth in attempt to stop the rest. "Come here." Zack surprised you by pulling you into a hug. You thought he'd run at the first sign of a girl crying, but you obviously thought wrong. Zack sat with you for the rest of the evening, letting your emotions spill out of you and holding you, comforting you for as long as you needed.
