this was originally posted in May 2015, during a time when wattpad was reinventing themselves.

we used to get email notifications of all of our comments made, but even more important, all of our followers would get an email notification when we posted anything new.

after wattpad changed that format, i, like many others saw a dramatic drop in the number of reads that we would get.

in my case, my readings dropped by nearly 90%.

only those who could stay on the revered 'HOT LIST', managed to keep a larger portion of their readership.

for the rest of us. it was a literary graveyard.

Wattpad ... give us our voices back

we write for ourselves first

we all know that is true

it is such a great release

a way to purge emotions, inside of you

some write then for enjoyment

some, of life's endless roads

some write to simply escape

me... so my head doesn't explode

but despite the personal reasons

or fears that keep us up at night

we all get a certain satisfaction

when someone likes what we write

but now this sad, sad, situation

is getting more and more absurd

we are still speaking volumes

but hardly a word is being heard

we still have so much to say

it is just the stage that we lack

it is time WATTPAD fixed their problems

and gave ALL of US ...

our voices back
