i write because for me writing is a form of therapy. my head isn't the best place to reside in. i convey my thoughts better through a piece of paper rather than through vocalized language. writing brings me great joy, it relieves some sick, twisted monster in me largely, it really does put the demons in me to sleep. writing is the best form of reprieve i can think of. :))

It's just fun! Sometimes I just love writing a silly story to make myself laugh. Other times, I think of a cool little idea that I feel can be expressed in a nice little 1,500 word package. I get requests for stories people want me to write for them, and I love to write those. I have a lot of opinions on various topics, mostly music related, so I enjoy writing think pieces based around these opinions. As I mentioned earlier, I find poetry extremely therapeutic, and I believe it is helping me recover completely from self harm.

I write because I love words and twisting them to my will. I write because it is what I know how to do. I write because I can create something that no one else has created; that I can then share with the world and maybe, just maybe, what I write, will connect me with other humans who have felt the same way I do, but have not been able to put the right words in that particular order, to voice how they feel.
